All players get 2 points for playing 60 mins or more, and 1 point for any less. An assists is always worth 3 points as well regardless of which position that player who assisted plays.
Goalkeepers: Get 4 points for a clean sheet, and 1 extra point for every 3 saves.
Defenders: Get 4 points for clean sheets, and 6 for scoring a goal.
Midfielders: Get 5 points for scoring a goal.
Strikers: Get 4 points for scoring a goal.
At the end of the day, the website also awards bonus points for the 3 best players in each game, according to them. MOM gets 3 bonus points, next best 2 and 3rd best 1.
Oh and you can't have more than 3 players from each team.

51 points, 58th in redcafe league. Had Essien and Berbatov in my team and forgot to take Fabregas out so not bad considering I only had 8 players.

you get 1 free transfer in between gameweeks, with every additional transfer after that costing you 4 points.

In both leagues How do I use my wildcard folks?
Can I trade someone worth 4,5 for someone worth 10 or do I have to have enough cash to buy them? I always thought it was a "free signing" sort of thing, but FF won`t let me do it! And if I do use it, I get that player for the rest of the season right, not just one round?

If you use the wild card it just means that you can make as many transfers in that one week as you like with out being penalized 4 points for each transfers over the free one.
You still have to stay within your budget and can only spend what you have.
The wild card allows you to revamp your team if you have had a bad start or have run into injuries or suspensions.
I have got off to a good start 123 points and 6th place in the league and I am waiting to use my wild card when Ronaldo is healthy to get him into my team.

There is actually a complicated formula.
Player price rises occur when a set number of Net Transfers In (NTI) have occurred.
The NTI is determined from 'Transfers In minus Transfers Out', The FPL gives these Stats in a drop down menu.
The key is in trying to determine what the threshold they have set to cause a increase or decrease in price.
The NTI at which a player's price is increased by 0.1m looks to be around 20,000
There is a web site that is dedicated to fantasy football, there are a lot of statisticians on the site who have this down to a science, you may want to check it out
