The noggies where back in Manchester last week, playing Tranmere and Preston, won both.
This time It was Herman Stengel, Sondre Tronstad who had their second trial, and Ohi Omoijuanfo(I think) from Lillestrøm, born 1994(a year older then the rest) and Mithan Ahilan from Rommen, born 1995. Ohi I think is a midfielder and Mithan a Centerback.
Mads Dæhli didn't make the trip this time, because he was on a trainingcamp in Turkie with his U19 team. Mads is thought to be the biggest talent of the bunch. Mads will travel to Manchester alone in April.

Cheers, dude. Did anyone watch "Bakrommet" last night? Ingebrigt Steen Jensen and Nils Johan Semb were talking about Herman Stengel as if he was the second coming.

Would be interesting to see if Mads Dæhli will join United in March when he turns 16. His club LYN are now bankrupt and has to start again in division 8. Mads would have no problems getting a contract with all the other clubs in Norway, but I hope he choose United. He has been accepted in U19 team, FK Lyns offisielle hjemmeside, most of the players are born in 91/92, 3 players in 93, and Mads, born March 2nd 1995!

...well, according to Mads Facebook, Mads have now moved from LYN to Stabekk. Stabekk is the same club that Herman Stengel plays for.

Apparently Mads has been in Manchester last week. I will try to get more information about his last trip. I don't know if any of the other noggies where there as well. Mads said to his local newspaper that he didn't know what would happened when he turns 16, but there are high hopes for this boy back in Norway.

By the way... Both Mads and Herman have played for Stabak2 (The norwegian version of the Reserves as they play in the norwegian 3rd division). The no 2 teams normaly use the fringe players in the first team and U19 players. Both Mads and Herman made their debuts as 14 years. Both players have scored and I even think Herman scored when he was still 14. Both made their debuts for Norway U15 a fortnight ago, both scoring a goal in the 3-0 victory vs Sweden.

There were reports that he was in Manchester now, and would be there to see the West Brom match, but Mats have allready been in Manchester last week. He played in two matches, I don't know against who, and scored two goals. He had a great trial, according to my source.

Mats and Herman Stengel are in the Norway U15 squad for the Val-de-Marne Tournament i France October 26th-30th.
They are gonna play France, Portugal and Holland.

Louis, do you know whether Stengel and Tronstad are still coming over from time to time or if it's just Mats we're looking at now?

Stengel was over with City a while back aswell
Yes, I've heard that too, must say I'm a bit suprised. He seems like a fantastic talent from what I've heard. But The Massive Club have quite a few noggies on their books.
As far as I know, Stengel have no plans to have a new trial with United at the moment.

How do you guys hear/read these things? Do you google their names for articles in regional papers? However you do it it's appreciated.

Hate to say it but City would probably be a great move for Stengel.

Most of the info I get is a mixture of Google and friends living abroad and some who are actually coaching in other countries who send me links to articles or emails of articles whenever they hear about young players linked with United

Stengel wouldnt be able to sign until next August anyway so there's plenty of time for us to bring him over again and have another look if we are interested.

I think Mats was at United last week, and not TheMassiveClub!
Herman Stengel have have been over with City two times this year. So he have now been over to Manchester four times.

Mats Møller Dæhli was named MVP in the U15 tournament. Norway played(and lost by 1 goal in all matches, Portugal, France and Holland. Quite impressing for mats to be MVP, considering that he played on the loosing team and the 3 other contries are famously known for producing young talent!

Mats was discribed as a player with great skills, good teamplayer, good defensivly and a dominating force in attack. From the reviews I've heard of Mats, I think he will be a perfect player for United, and United will be a perfect place for him to develop.

Thanks again, LR. He really does sound like a special young player. Let's hope he doesn't end up a City.

Mats will sign for United later this week and joins the academy in February when he turns 16. Excellent news indeed.

Does this mean Truls Dæhli will be banned from mentioning Manchester United in his column?

Or does it?

Not?

Only time will tell.

I said this last week, I think this is an exeptional talent! From the reviews I've read this is a player that will blend in perfectly with the way United play. Mats was discribed as a player with great skills, good teamplayer, good defensivly and a dominating force in attack.
I'm realy looking forward to see Mats in the U18.

One of the Noggie Premier League commentators said this was the biggest talent he had ever seen in that age group. In Norway I reckon, but still.

Exciting stuff. Must admit I know nothing about him.

Probably, though he did upstage the best U15s from Portugal, France and the Netherlands recently.

His mother is a Dagbladet photographer. Will this mean more or less stupid articles about United in the Norwegian tabloids?
