Expecting us to lose. Not because of today's result but like Palace, Arsenal seem to just have our number.

    The negativity in here ffs

We're far better than they are and with today's result giving us a timely jolt I expect a straight forward win

    3-0
Have you been watching our games with them the last 2 years or so ?

These turds have their bi-annual cup finals against us. We always get complacent against them. Home win.

I'd probably like to see Greenwood start instead of McT but given him and Martial haven't been firing, this line up is pretty understandable.

Must win for us. City will beat SUFC, so we can't afford for the gap to increase. While I don't think we will win the league, we need to keep in touching distance of City otherwise I think they will just pull away quite comfortably.
I'm certain Ole will start his workhorse midfield duo for this one after tonight, personally I'd drop both of Martial and Rashford for Greenwood and Pogba wide, I just wish we could fit Van de Beek in to offer more control.

Agreed, I don't expect us to win the league but the nature of the loss tonight was a bitter pill to swallow, we need a big bounce back performance to keep our top 4 spot on track.

Tonight was fun but i don't think we'll beat you on Saturday. Going for a draw or a narrow defeat. Some instability is coming back to our defence since Mari got injured. I don't know if Arteta will keep Luiz or switch back to Holding-Gabriel. If Tierney is out, Cedric will be in trouble against your attack.
Aubameyang's message is a bit vague, no idea if he will be in the squad or stay out a few more weeks. Xhaka is due a stupid moment in big games, he's been too quiet recently
    Prediction: 1-1 or 1-2

They are absolutely shit, winning a few games against mickey mouse clubs and a Southampton team on their knees. HAVE to win. No excuses not too but If we don't then the title race for United is well and truly done

When was the last time we had a straightforward win against, well, anyone?

I expect a truly awful game, like the one at Old Trafford. Arsenal started scoring goals lately though so they'll probably fancy it.

I still look forward to these games between Arsenal and United even though the days of SAF vs Wenger, Keane Vs Vieira are long gone. There's just something unpredictable about them. There are so many times where we thought we'd smash 'em and then get beat and the same in reverse is true (I still remember Moyes beating them  )

I expect it will a tough game and Arsenal will press the defence and midfield a lot. I'm thinking it might be a draw.

Already decided would rather watch WBA v Fulham on Sat than City show Sheff Utd how a top team should deal with them at home. Going to predict we will drop points again and just hope this reverse psychology makes us gets our shit back together.

    Team has to show bottle.

Win this and we can out tonight's result behind us.

Lose or draw and I can see us slipping down the table badly.

Play Rashford on the left or not at all. Martial needs benching. He's a liability at the moment.

A lot of pressure on us now to erase tonight’s shameful performance.

It’s essential Martial does not start the game.

Right now, I couldn't care less about this game such is my disappointment with tonight's performance. We were never going to win the league realistically, but it's the hope that kills. Having to now feel all excited about an upcoming top 4 slog is so demoralising. Yes it's a spoilt, entitled attitude, but I'm a football fan so it comes with the territory.

Can't see us getting a result here and this is not just a hangover after our result. They are a defensive team, playing Arsenal these days is similar to playing Wolves. Expect a borefest where we can't break them down and Lacazette scores the winner.

I dont think we will the title no matter what happens at Arsenal but if we want to win it then we have to win at the weekend. City play Sheff Utd and will probably put 5 past them as they can handle that type of team better than we can.

They are still just as bad as they were earlier in the season, they beat a cobbled together Soton team, Newcastle, WBA, goalless with Palace who are their alter ego. 2-0 United win.

Hard to know if we will bounce straight back in this game or if this defeat has set us on a slippery slope for a few weeks and back into the pack

The defeat has made this game tougher.

We are now more pressured into winning this not only to keep the hope for title challenge, but also not drop back into the pack.

Had we won against Shielfield United, even a draw is not a bad result.

I was expecting this to be game that ended our unbeaten run and see this being narrow win for Arsenal.

Just have feeling we’e going to go on a poor run, combination of tiredness and dip in form of players.

We joke about it being 'Ole's first real test' every week, but I think it applies for this one.

We can show our title credentials by putting in a performance against Arsenal and getting the 3 points, proving the SU game to be nothing more than a minor bump in the road.

Winning by a large number of goals would be a nice bonus too. I mean it's Arsenal, they deserve it.

Arsenal will not play like Sheffield United did. This game will suit us better.

Arsenal has our number for sure. I expect a draw and will be highly surprised if we win.

There is no title race. People probably need to accept this.
I understand that but I didn't want us to go behind 7-10 points at this stage. 7 points looks extremely likely by the end of this week if we don't win.

Is ESR fit? He limped off . Tierney is out as well isn’t he?
Not certain what the situation will be - I'm hoping both will be fit. It'll be interesting to see if Odegaard makes an appearance.

Honestly, I was less confident with Sheffield United game, but I’m more confident on this Arsenal game. Cavani & Shaw will start. Either Lindelof or Bailly will play instead. Bruno hopefully bounce back as he normally does after having one bad game.

Why should it not come as much of a shock that a player who can't get into his own national team and only has 1 goal in 25 games for them, isn't doing the business for us? Jesus wept

Easy to jump on the Martial bandwagon, but in most of his appearances this season, he really has been poor. He should not be starting this game.

I'm fine with trying to keep playing someone to force them into form, but now that we have suffered a loss when he should have been substituted, a different approach needs to be taken.

He can't keep playing at the moment.
