OK mate I'm aware of the reasons why Fellaini is getting the nod ahead of herrera and you're right it does currently make sense but all i said was that We just want to see that threesome at some point so we can potentially ejaculate repeatedly at its attacking brilliance
I'm not having go at all if i did come across overboard, i just like to cover the whole bases on the subject that's all. By all means i would love to see more of Herrera because when he does come on, the attack becomes more fluent but it becomes a problem aswell, if united commit too much on the attack, they are exposed to a counter. Leicester did that to united.

Since then Van Gaal hasnt played the diamond or atleast go on the all offence. Van Gaal been careful then, he didnt realize how fast the English game was and that its all about counter attacking football these days. He got a taste of that and he paid the price, he's now learnt from his mistake and now united are on a winning streak. Hopefully he'll bring in key players to help out the defense and maybe we'll see a more attacking midfield then instead on playing Felliani all the time because lets be honest, that Liverpool game he gave more balls away than ball boy.

Is any of Smalling or Rojo back so we can play Carrick where he belongs? If Rafa and Di Maria are available and LVG finally starts Falcao I have full confidence we'll be winning this

    FacerTheRed is spot on.

Herrera is a good player and we desperately need to see him start for once, but the issue is, Carrick is playing a deep role away from the midfield, that means the midfield lacks his security, his ability to read the game and his overall influence/presence, It has been a massive loss for us to also lose Daley Blind., therefore we have to compensate with the physicality of Fellaini and Wayne Rooney. Rooney's attacking influence can be replaced by the goalscoring acumen of Juan Mata, something Herrera cannot guarantee as strongly as Mata.

I said it before, I don't want to sound repetitive, but Mata and Herrera starting together is a no-no, it creates a massive inbalance, the teams lacks physicality and general sense of toughness and work-rate, their strengths are they can link together, but for tough away games I'd rather see one of them rather than both of them plus I'd rather see two strikers away from home rather than the lone striker which is alien to United and myself, RVP and Wilson have a good understanding , so will Falcao.

Hopefully Valencia's confidence is sky high

I want to see more of this:drool:
Really was incredible how many goals came from Berbatov releasing Valencia to cross for Rooney in that season

Rojo is back, he only had a small niggle, LVG said he could have risked him, but the player himself ruled out of playing with a knock.
Rafael has been training for the past week and should be well past a fortnight in training by matchday, I guess he'll start.
Di Maria may start training this week, but hasn't so far, I think Newcastle on Boxing day is a long shot, he may make the away trip to Spurs and he'll definitely be ready for Stoke - new years day.
Smalling is probably on the same timeline as Di Maria too. Blind and Shaw are out indefinitely.

I personally cannot wait for Jesse Lingard to have a run of games, for certain he'll contribute more than Januzaj has so far, plus the boy like Wilson is a real talent. Wallbeck who ?

I hope Rojo is back. Evans is doing blunders and mistakes (4 to 5), which could have cost us liverpool game. Every shot from Balotelli is a consequence of an error from Johnny. Evans need to get his match sharpness as quick as possible. Phil Jones was good last game and looking great after returning from injury but still not there yet.

After thought... my line-up brings in only Rojo and Di Maria.
Falaco need more time... but Janujaz should definitely start against Newcastle.
I personally would rather see herrera get more game time. Adnan did not take his chance earlier in the season. He had the opportunity to keep Young out. He didn't and I dont see him playing again this season bar FA cup. Rojo is the only defender that has had game time, so we should find him a partner to keep consistency.

We should have put a clause in Cleverley's lone agreement allowing him to play against us.

I don't know what it's called. Does anybody know?

Di Maria till boxing day,oh come on thought it was just a slightly pulled hamstring, good to know Rafa and Rojo are available for selection though.I had totally forgotten about poor Lingard, hope he gets some games too.I agree about Herrera and Mata not starting,if Carrick and fellaini should start which i'm sure they will we can only accomodate one of them, personally I'd like to Herrera given a full game in the Mata role. When is Shaw due back

Come again? What do you base "for certain" on?

Last season Januzaj carried us on his back through some bad periods and was one of the few bright lights in the dark ages. This season he has started twice and has been subbed on for spare minutes. Yes, he hasn't had the same flare as last season but I wouldn't go overboard saying Lingard will contribute a lot more for certain.

And where did you get this injury information from? A link would be appreciated.

We have to keep Adnan happy, I don't want another Pobra situation on our hands. He can definitely play home matches... the only reason we are being forced to play 3-5-2 is because young can not be asked to play LB against more quality opposition. So Wing back offers more protection and it's also difficult to fit Adnan into this system as he isn't better than who is currently making the first 11.

Hate to say this but balance feels better when he doesnt start. Not saying he shouldn't or that he should. Just that he doesnt quite fit at the moment

That is because he isn't completely ready for the 1st team. But a few games ago when we were playing him and Di Maria on the wings. I think he put in some good performances.

He needs to play more often to improve. There is no disputing he has bangs of potential. But he also has to hit the gym as he is getting knocked off the ball too easily. But then again so did Ronaldo at that age.

But Ronaldo is someone who shows dedication to his craft.
His work ethic is unparalleled in the game.
I cannot see Januzaj following in Ronaldo's footsteps.

Hope Falcao gets the nod from the start, think he can really start to show what he's all about. With all due respect to Villa it's a nice easy game for him to get a goal or two.

If by some miracle we don't pick up any more injuries, by New Year only Thorpe would still be out
I'd bet Cina's house we get at least two more injuries to add to that and that at least one of those is not fit by new year.

No chance, I'm dying for Falcao to get a run in the side but just can't see it.

Villa will be a difficult game in saturday

Except we don't need to keep him happy. He signed a 5 year contract last year, he's going nowhere (at least, not cheaply).

Team comes first, and he's not ready to be a consistent starter yet.

Villa will be as easy a game as we will have all season.

    4-0 and domination.

Who do all those people who want Falcao to start plan on dropping? I don't think anyone deserves to be dropped, unless someone needs a rest.

Yes... it's the same with Nani. But in all honesty in modern football if a player wants to leave and he has 4-5 years left on his contract... it's just a matter of 2 clubs agreeing a fee, because you can't hold on to players who want to leave, unless you convince them to change their minds.

From the last XI, Wilson can swap. Falcao for 60, Wilson for 30.

I guess that's how it'd have to be, but I assumed the CM role for Rooney was temporary. Personally I'd prefer to see him further up the field, where we're used to seeing him ply his trade.

I'd drop Wilson or Fellaini personally. Straight swap for Wilson or drop Fellaini and put Rooney in the middle of the park. Tip of a diamond.
