    De gea
    Dalot/young smalling lindeloff Shaw
    Pogba mata Fred
    Sanchez rashford martial

That midfield has mobility and attacking intent. Let mata roam in attack whilst Fred and pogba are fine to move up and down the pitch. I actually prefer pogba controlling midfield from the back upwards.

Is Valencia injured or permanently in the Jose's sin bin? I would like to see this:

    DDG
    Young - Smalling - Lindelof - Shaw
    Herrera
    Pogba - Fred
    Mata - Sanchez - Martial
    Expecting to see this:

    DDG
    Young - Smalling - Lindelof - Shaw
    Pogba - Matic - Fred
    Rashford - Lukaku - Martial
I'm not part of the Lukaku-is-shit-and-ruins-everything movement on here..My main issue is not with him, but with the rest of the team seemingly continuing to confuse him for an actual target man and hitting him with long balls.

Anyway, regardless who we play, I think we are likely to end up drawing this one. 2-2
Immediately he came on against Everton, our players started hitting long balls.

Be a gamble, but expecting wholesale changes with a must win game against Juve a few days later in mind, something like:

    De Gea
    Valencia Bailly Rojo Darmian
    Herrera McTominay Fred
    Lingard Lukaku Alexis
The game against Bournemouth is more important.
There's no chance he puts out a weakened team...none.

Are you serious? He would never put such a weak team against a tough Bournemouth team. It'll be same team as before. We need the points in the PL.

A weak team consisting of 11 full Internationals all paid handsomely to represent Manchester United.
Our squad depth is really bad when you put it like that. Do you really have confidence in valencia, darmian, mctominay etc to do a job? And those players have no match fitness. We need to keep the momentum going.

On the contrary, the fans of most teams in the Premier League would think they'd died and gone to heaven if they could field as strong an XI as the one I selected above.

And yes I do have confidence in the 3 lads you named, all of them in fact

Makes sense considering the big game vs Juventus but I doubt he'll play that team. He won't make that many changes. During SAFs reign yes but not Mourinho.

Doubt it'll be that exact team, and he probably won't make that many changes, but hope he is at least considering the idea as we're coming up to a pivotal time of the season. The team i've picked, or similar should be more than good enough to get a result at Bournemouth allowing our 'best' players to rest up ready for Juventus and then Man City the following weekend.

If Mourinho fields what he considers to be his best team against Bournemouth you just know one or two of our big-hitters will either get injured and miss the next two fixtures, or suspended and miss the City match.

It's as near as damn it if we want to spare ourselves the hassle of having to win at Valencia in the last match to qualify second in the group.
I'm guessing we will need a draw against Valencia to qualify.

Hope you're right, had it in my head that when we were playing Young Boys that Valencia were at home to Juventus(27/11) and if they(Juventus) beat us next week as expected they'll have already qualified and not be as focused when they played in Valencia giving them more chance to nick all three points. Though I suppose they could do that in Turin anyway.

Whatever happens we'll still make it hard for ourselves, it's in the clubs DNA

They’re bang in form. But we’re settling into a stride. Don’t play Sanchez and Lukaku and we should nick it

Our best lineup for the game should be
    De Gea
    Young smalling Lindelof Shaw
    Matic
    Pogba Fred
    Mata Martial
    Sanchez

If not sanchez then rashford. Rashford wasn't too involved against everton but his movement was sublime. I mean lukaku rarely ever touches the ball when playing so what difference would it make to play with rashford?
I believe its time for sanchez to get back in the team centrally.

Really looking forward to this match. Bournemouth is doing really well at the moment, and whatever we do I hope we keep the pace up and try to dominate like we did against Everton, because they will sit back if we make them. If we sit back ourselves it might be a boring 0-0 as we don't counter attack any good, so then wont score.
What is going on with this line up? Are you Gareth Southgate in disguise trying to play FB's at central defense?

    Here, there, everywhere...
Matic to join Lukaku on the bench; rest the same:

    De Gea
    Young Smalling Lindelof Shaw
    Herrera
    Fred Pogba
    Mata Rashford Martial
I hope we don't park the bus and embarrass ourselves. This has potential to be a very good game if we decide to play football. Bournemouth play football the right way and will leave spaces for us to exploit if we are good enough.

I'd go with the Herrera / Matic swap being the only change from Sunday, as most have here. Possibly swap Rashford out with Sanchez but I thought we looked far more expansive up front without Lukaku.

I think Smalling and Lindelof will look to be aggressive and step out to win the ball and so Matic will play incase he needs to plug any gaps.

They're undefeated at home this season. I'm predicting a score draw with them rescuing it late.
    They are unbeaten at home?
In that case, we shall need to put their unbeaten run to the test, this weekend.
Our players normally turn up against the better sides, so I expect us to put in a good 2nd half in this match.
If we go in at halftime 1-0 down, the 2nd half should be fantastic, especially if Lukaku is not playing.

Agree with you here. If there was a must win game vs Juventus, it was the one we lost at OT last week. We're not going to win away to Juventus.

You know Jose will play Matic vs Juve, so I really hope he is rested here. He's running through mud right now. Sadly, if Fellaini is still out I doubt he will trust anyone else back there.

It will be very difficult. Playing a top 6 team away and that too who play attacking football. Could be very difficult for us with the mickey mouse defending we do as a team.
That's the way I see it as well.
Bournemouth really do play as a team with players linking up well and supporting each other.

I watched the highlights of last week game. They pass the ball well and sometimes overload opposition defences.

I rate Eddie Howe but of course hope they have an off day.

Will be a very good win if we can achieve that.

Got to wonder what happened with Herrera. As much as I think he was overrated by a good number of fans because of his pashun, he did do well as a DM in Mourinho's first season.

We won't be going to Juve to win the match. The fight is for 2nd place and all we have to ensure is that our points and goal difference is better than Valencia. A 1-0 at Juve (or better), should be adequate. Of course, we still need to beat or draw with Valencia, away. And all of this assumes that Juve beat Valencia, home and away.

That team you put out would struggle against Bournemouth. The PL is the bigger priority. It's a must win game. I dont see how we beat Juventus away. We barely attacked at home so how are we going to win away? We're playing for a draw in Italy.

Just had a look at their results this season. In 4 league games they've been playing against 10 men. They've scored bags of goals and will always play on the front foot. I just hope we start well. Score first and we usually get a result. Should start with a midfield three hopefully.

We should be going to Juve trying to win, and we've got the players to do it, because it's the only way we can control our own destiny in the group without relying on other results going in our favour, and/or needing to win in Spain in matchday six.

Maybe you've got more confidence than me that if Juve beat us thus guaranteeing qualification that they won't stitch us up and down tools against Valencia.
