Not playing our best isnt an excuse for a ref being awful
Come on, it shouldn't matter who the fecking ref is when we see playing a Championship team with that many international players on the pitch. He didn't help today, but is VERY far from being the issue.

it seems so odd that every team play against as if they play like a final, not Chelsea, City or Arsenal.
yes, its ether our players don't put in enough effort vs those smaller team or they just put in extra effort playing United while rolling over against Chelsea, City and Arsenal.

It will be easier by not having to worry about irrelevant cup competitions and not rotating the squad as much. Pretty obvious reasoning.
What the feck shall we finish in the top 4 for? Football is about winning trophies not being like Arsenal and seeing top 4 as something great. I totally hate that attitude.

Total idiot with a total shit attitude like that. Who fecking cares about the league now though. City have won it anyway I want to catch them, but we will not. The way we play we will have no chance of winning the champions league either so we will probably end without any titles.
You actually thought we had a chance to win the Champions League this year?

I could understand this if it were fatigue but they played an almost entirely fresh lineup. So many errant, heavy passes and beaten to 50/50 balls over and over. Pissed.

Seriously,It's Bristol Fecking City. That shite is not good enough. You think it's just a case of "right, that shite is out the way let's get back to the serious stuff"

That was piss poor football with most of our better players playing some of the most disjointed football you're likely to see from supposedly the second best team in the country.

Leicester will be rubbing their hands on Saturday.
We will beat Leicester, not even worried about it.

Mourinho isn’t going to lose sleep on this result, and neither should fans.

Well done to Bristol City. We were far too complacent for the first hour; they were fully motivated, as you'd expect. Can't begrudge them what is a massive win for them.

    That’s the spirit!
We should bloody want to win games and not be happy about being knocked out from a cup. I am still fecking pissed about City beating us and know after this I am just bloody more pissed about everything. Not just getting knocked out from this cup, but just looking at the league table make you feel even more shit and unless City bloody collapse that will not change. We look far more likely to fall apart than them.

Where did my post say anything about the top 4? Use your eyeballs, they’re fairly useful. And it’s fecking December, not May. City haven’t won shit and a lot can happen until then. This circle-jerking if City by so many United fans on this site is embarrassing.

Basically, I realized that we're kind of like final big villain they need to put more effort in game to beat us, look at their fans, they were overwhelmingly happy with a big victory.

Laughable reasoning mate , we have no chance in the Prem , little chance in the champs lge , that was the best chance we have for silverware and more importantly a chance to put a marker down against City
We didn't lose to Chelsea or City or Arsenal or even Liverpool but to Bristol City .
The players were a joke they should be ashamed

Martial's attitude has been disgusting tonight. Casual, greedy and just utter wank all round.
Tonight? He has been like that for a while. Pogba The Drama Queen.

Don't care, really, about the loss. But to think of all the jokes I will have to put up with tomorrow at work...

Do care about the aproach of some of the players, it is more important to talk to ref then to play. Selfish, greedy, behaving like they are God given...

Just hope Jose will be ok in interview, presser... Or just blame it on ... well, whatever.

The ref should never affect the game in favor of any team no matter how bad one of them play.

What is left to win though? We still got a chance yes, but it is small. We need to improve a lot. Right now I think Bayern, Real and Barcelona will fight for it as I see them getting better during the second half of the season. PSG and City I think will decline at least, but well we might feck it up against Sevilla even the way we have played recently.

I have very little faith in Mourinho tactically and well mentally confidence is going down at the moment.

So Romero is on par with DDG? Or we weren't shit tonight? Which part do you disagree with?

Looked nervous, could have done a lot better on the second goal. Not his fault alone we lost, feel it would have been another story with DDG in the goal, though.
I dont think you have ever played football if you think Romero was at fault for both goals. He had no chance for the first one and the second one could have happened to any GK even DDG. No I dont compare him to De Gea but I dont blame him for the goals. I think our Midfield was to blame for tonight.

Yeah a lot can happen, but being knocked out tonight is terrible. I much rather we would have lost against West Brom than tonight no doubt.

That’s the ultimate vilification of Utd tonight that we missed DDG in a game against a championship side

He's a shot stopper. Nothing more. Shit distribution, nervous as shit whenever the ball comes into his vicinity.

Though he got zero protection from that bald albino Creme Egg cnut in the middle. Constantly obstructed by the Bristol players and nothing done.

None of our players covered themselves in glory tonight. Some of the lads out there are stealing a living.

Completely agree with you, only Lindelof gave a frustrated shove at one of their players impeding him at the end. And rightly so, he should have had much more protection from our defenders once it became clear that was the plan to stop the counter.

Also wonder why he was lying on the ball in the 92nd minute when nobody was around him. incidentally the "only time in the game" and could have smashed it forward.

    Frustrated more than anything.

Pogba? Seriously? IF it weren’t for him that game would have been lost in the first half

In a way I’m pleased we lost. We’ve a heavy enough fixture list as it is. Don’t need any extra matches.
Agreed, lets Chelsea and City drew each other in Semi final so they get tough 2 matches that may have an impact on their league performance.

So City lose and only be 8 points ahead again. I’m moist at the thought

This was the only trophy I believed we could win and now that’s down the shitter against a championship side. How anyone can be happy or relieved is beyond me our players are bottlers and too many are bang average. We won’t come remotely close to winning the CL, maybe we can get fortunate with a run in the FA cup whilst avoiding all the other good teams and they get knocked out before the final but this is already looking like a season to forget, I just pray we make seriously good signings in Jan/Summer as I do not see a bright future with this current squad.. all I see is the longer we do nowt in the league and CL the more chance De Gea, Martial and dare I say Pogba will want to leave in the next few years. People will say knee jerk or think I’m a pessimist but that is seriously how I see it.

Assuming City drawing with Chelsea in semi-final, City will play Chelsea on 9th January or 10th January in EFL cup and play Liverpool at Anfield on 14th January in the league. I'd expect us winning all games until Spurs games (hopefully) and I want City dropping 4 points or 6 points.

Thank you. Live looked like the defender's studs were showing. It was clean tackle though
Rash shouldve passed to the right right away, but he was looking at the ball and always wants to show off and do it by himself. Thats the problem we have with these youngsters. We need more team play, more passing. This isnt the first time Rash doing this.
