My issue is with neither Pogba nor McTominay being a #6 or being able to be the deeper midfielder, like Herrera can.
I assume Mourinho has studied Bristol and does not feel he needs a proper #6 to protect against their attack. The plan would be to ask McTominay to keep it simple and just win possession back, while Pogba is also asked to help out a bit more defensively. Then if we score 2 goals or so, Herrera will come on in a midfield 3 or Pogba could be subbed off.

    I think he’s a goner.
Surprised how the guy from being a starting XI turned into a goner overnight. Just dropped and thats all. Normally people first drop from starting XI then play as a sub for a little while. Jose is acting like a little bitch here.

Or maybe Mourinho just doesn't want him in the team?

Disappointing lack of youngsters, and Pogba seems a bit unnecessary. Should be more than enough to get the job done. A few goals for Zlatan please.

Be intresting to see how Zlatan operates in this system. This probably should have been the shape for last season. I’m hoping Rashford and Martial have a little more freedom and aren’t tasked with just providing a statue ammunition and it’s more Zlatan dropping off to feed them in.

Shaw will hopefully get up and aid them as well.

£450?! He wouldn't realise if it was a £4.50 bottle.

Lindelof will be the #6 in this game; whenever he plays in a back 3 he covers the midfielders.

Somebody needs to do their research.

    19:46
Mourinho chatting with City manager Gary Johnson
“If you open the wine now it can breathe for long enough when the game finishes.”

Danilo, Toure, Mangala, Bravo?! Seems you won't miss an opportunity to talk up your boy Pep though.
How does what I say translate into a praise for Guardiola? Are you butt hurt or something? It's just a fact that their squad is smaller. Which can be bad for them later in the season, unless they sign 2-3 palyers in January. Can you compare Lindelof or Rojo to Tosin? Or Shaw/Blind to Zinchenko? Or Diaz to Rashford? Or Foden to McTominay? They have quality on the bench but they have in their squad kids like Tosin, Foden and Diaz. They play these kids because they lack experienced replacements for their first teamers.

How is Pogba unnecessary when he hasn't played the last three games?

City played Foden yesterday....and yet we cant give Tuanzebe a bench option !! ...Hope he stays down and wait for his chance...why cant we have atleast two or three accademy players on the bench against Bristol City !! ??
And we have Rashford, Lingard, McTominay, three academy graduates playing premier league games.

So pipe down with City talk who have no one and haven't had anyone for years.

When you haven't played 3 games in a row, you need a little run about to get into rhythm. Better he does that against Bristol than waste 60 minutes shaking his rustiness off and looking clumsy against Leicester. He will subbed off two-thirds into the game, guaranteed.

Feck me, the guy sat in the middle in the studio of the coverage on Norwegian tv looks like an animated character or FM regen.

This must be some kind of experiment with animation, this guy can't be real.

No you can't, Foden is a miles better talent.

You're clearly Armenien and love Mkhitaryan but there's no need for that.

He is a talent but he isn't ready for that level yet, imo. Messi at 14 was a miles better talent than Kluivert. This didn't make him a better player than Kuivert in 2001.

All wine talk aside, I hope we put in a professional performance tonight. I'm always a bit nervous when we play these teams..

You are trying to paint their achievement last night as something great. They have four international level centre backs, including the two most expensive in history, one of which you chose to omit from last nights side. They have the most expensive left back and right back in history, plus former England international Delph and Brazil international and two times Champions League winner Danilo as back up.

I'm not butt hurt. I just find your obsession with City odd.
