    How do you distinguish between whether Burnley were poor or we were really good and never let them play?

    For the most part under RR, since the Wolves game we have played very well in games for 60/70 minutes but still fall back into bad habits for small passages. We had a bad 5 minutes against Burnley yesterday and they scored.
    Because our passing was horrible, decision making, shooting, no dictating play. Nothing was good. We kicked the ball out of touch so many times, failed to keep the ball even with basic passes at times, no presence in midfield, just playing from wide positions.

    Burnley were just so much worse.

    Grasping at straws Caesar.
    Not really. Says more about you who'd rather gloat that his team who lost points and being right, than being optimistic for a change.

    But then again you are from Dublin, so you must be a Liverpool fan in disguise.

    If Maguire keeps the captaincy and doesn't get dropped, this is the kind of thing that's going to lose the dressing room. Imagine being Varane and seeing that fecking oaf get your first goal disallowed by not even having the sense to stay onside when blocking opponents. Imagine being De Gea and watching the guy who's supposed to be leading your defence get turned and left for dust by Championship-level players. The embarrassment of actually wanting to see him sent off for brainlessly steaming into that Burnley player as the last man, because then at least he can't do the same thing on Saturday. Imagine crossing the ball to him again and again and watching him bounce the ball out for a goal kick off his shoulder. Imagine being in the video room and seeing chance after chance conceded because he's the one playing everyone onside.
    He's not an out-of-form striker or a keeper low on confidence. He's a fecking shitshow who is ruining everything all over the pitch.
    Playing him is one thing, but as the captain? As the guy who goes out in front of the media after yet another disasterclass and says that the whole team needs to improve?
    I'd be fecking livid and I'd start looking at the manager.

    I live in Dublin, I am not from Dublin.Plus if you knew anything about Dublin you would know there are more United fans there than Liverpool fans.
    I’m not gloating .I wish we hammered Burnley.
    You made an ass of yourself with your feeling that we were going to hammer them .
    Maybe in future base your “feelings” on evidence.

    Furthermore I shouldn’t need to do this but it seems necessary in your case, putting the ball in the net only counts if the ref allows it.
    disallowed goals do not count son.

    We are playing far better than we were playing a few weeks ago and creating more chances than Ole times too.

    We need:

    1) more muscle in midfield;
    2) a better CB than Maguire;
    3) better finishing up front.
    Yep. Problem is except for maybe 3, we can't do ship about it until the summer. Maybe at the very least slot in Lindelof for Maggie.
