I agree with you. It's cool that he can slot home beauts like that, but it's not worth the 20 FKs in good positions that he rifles into the stands in between each.
He is just turning 22. He may be getting better at free kicks.......

Just watched the full 90 mins as missed it last night. My thoughts:

1st half - Despite all that Chelsea possession, we didn’t look as if we were under severe threat. Romero didn’t have a single save to make. I personally thought we were the better side in that opening half and out of the two teams, we looked the more dangerous going forward. Clear penalty for the foul by Alonso on James and comfortably tucked away by Rashford.

2nd half - Chelsea started a hell lot better and were well on top for the opening 20 mins. Poor defending from ourselves, particularly Maguire (who I thought had his worst game in a Utd shirt) for there equaliser. We eventually changed our shape and went back to our customary 4-2-3-1 formation and it worked. We nullified that earlier Chelsea onslaught as they didn’t really create too many chances in the final 30 mins. Any openings/chances they did have, we comfortably dealt with. Then that wonderful moment that is worthy of winning any game of football. Pedro fouls Fred about 35 yards away from goal and Rashford hits a wonderful strike into the top corner that any GK in world football would have struggled to keep out. Simply magnificent! We managed the game well in the final stages. Chelsea had ran out of ideas on how to break us down and we deservedly held on for the win.

Overall, I’m happy with that. A lot better than what was served up before the recent international break, which looks like it came at the right time for us. Still a lot more needed but it’s very good to see the players have restored a bit of confidence back into themselves and the club. We go into the Bournemouth game with a wee spring in our step.

While we still looked like we'd gone for a nap at halftime, it was good to see Ole make some substitutions that helped to stem the flow of Chelsea's attack. The last few games have really highlighted how injuries had impacted our form(without saying they were the sole reason for it). Hopefully, we can kick on from here and get the majority of the points on offer over the next 4/5 games.

Scott pressing high and winning the ball back lead to our first goal.
Our problem seems to be sustaining this press throughout thd 90 minutes.
But then nobody really presses high anymore. Spurs / liverpool and City have all drastically eased off from doing this.
Edit even the second goal is from winning tbe ball high v Pedro.
Im genuinely baffled at how its made out that we sat back and countered all game.

Just people never really thinking about what they are actually watching and prefer to repeat what some with an agenda are saying / tweeting / affirming etc...

One. ??? James is 21, Brandon Williams is 19, Rashford is 22 just gone, Martail same, Mctominay same are they old?

Sour grapes .. what a free kick woòooooooooow.
Not only have you got Martial's name wrong, you also don't know how old he is.

The idea that Rashford, Martial, James and McTominay are "young players needing a grounding" via playing the league cup is frankly ridiculous. They're all full internationals and first team players.

Andrei Kanchelskis made me fall in love with Unite
Starting to see some real positives in this team. Just a few results but a different feeling about this team now. For the first time since SAF I'm seeing some players that the fans can actually take to, as opposed to big names with no passion for the club. McTom, Williams, James, Rashford, Tuanzebe, AWB, Maguire, Pereira all showing pride and displaying some real quality. We could have the nucleus of a great team. If we could add the likes of James Maddison into the mix we'll be on to something!

Martial is 23 but a lot of our players are considered s*** by our fans and opposition fans, so it's only fair to say those players are "young players needing a grounding"!

as I said, not in my mind. otherwise, DDG wouldn't have been MoM so many times in the past
There hasn't been a reliable goalscorer at the club to challenge consistently. If someone like Kane or Aguero played for us, DDG wouldn't have won so many of them.
If Rashford becomes consistent in front of goal, there ain't much DDG will do to challenge him on that particular.
I'm not talking about how you or I view things, I am talking about the official awards. Football is about scoring goals
