Me too however we are desperate for creativity so he really should
Is he fit enough to play a full game? I know he was on the bench yesterday but he has been out injured so I think it is more likely he is on the bench again and we will hope to get on top early so we can bring him on early in the second half to give Bruno a breather.

    Is he still injured
Yes Roy made a huge point about this match being moved forward so Zaha couldn't make it. In addition Sakho, McArthur, Hennissey, Schlupp, Tomkins and Clyne are all out - and Benteke just back from injury, so there really is no room for Palace to rotate.

So the FA deliberately moved the game to suit us? And there’s me thinking there’s a conspiracy...

Reading this, surely we can have a nice win for once.

Zaha, Sakho, McArthur, Hennissey, Schlupp, Tomkins and Clyne are all out we should rotate heavily for the City game.
    We really shouldn't.
We should prioritise trying to win this winnable game, rather than risk dropping points there just for the very unlikely scenario of getting 1 or 3 away to City.

We're well capable of dropping points at Palace even with our strongest available line up - no point adding to the possibility by resting key players.

I just want us to build on the draw at Chelsea with a win on Wednesday. 4 points from those two will be great. After that, anything from the City game would just be a bonus. We can afford to lose that so long as we win the much more winnable league games v Palace and West Ham either side of it.

I don't agree with this. Would rather us put out the best 11, and lock this win down. We're far more likely to get three points here than against city.

If we don’t win, we will plummet down the table thereafter for sure.

If we can’t win this, we are crap

    Don’t play Martial

Not sure if he is fit enough to start the whole game and winning the game early and then bringing him on for bruno sounds ideal but when have we ever wrapped up a game early

We reallly need some technical ability deeper in midfield and if fit enough to start I would like to see him given a go. I struggle to imagine him offering less than fred or matic going forward and we don't need two dm's against a zaha less palace

Palace record in Selhurst Park this season in the Premier league

    P13 W4 D4 L5

They have kept 3 clean sheets in their home games (against Wolves, Sheffield United,Southampton) and in 10 of those 13 games they have conceded 1 or 2 goals.

United have a fine 20 game unbeaten away record but its a run that has included 7 draws and Palace this season had two 1-1 draws against Spurs, Leicester. Jose decided to sit on 1 goal lead while a Harvey Barnes 83rd minute goal grabbed a draw for leicester.

I expect United to win and 0-1 or 1-2 result looks more likely than a comfortable win.

Yes but they are missing Zaha, Sakho, McArthur, Hennissey, Schlupp, Tomkins and Clyne for this game.

Zaha a loss if he's out but no more of a loss than United without Pogba, Cavani.

    Hennessy hasn't played this season.

Sakho had only 4 and Tomkins 5 appearances in 26 league games. Clyne has only featured in half of their games this season.

Schlupp, McArthur missed the last dozen games.

Should be a comfortable win. Anything else and you suspect we may really be in trouble for top 4. The league form is crumbling a bit and we have played most of the other fodder.
How often do we ever get a ‘comfortable win?’. Any win will do for me!

Zaha being out for Palace is like Bruno being out for us.

Need to get the 3 points against this crowd as the city game will be worse than yesterday’s in terms of possession and chances created

Palace are absolute dog shit at the moment. Can't see where their next win will come from. It would be just like us to gift them some points, but we should really be winning this one.
Aye, no Zaha too. They’re not even particularly good at parking the bus anymore. They concede plenty of goals and chances, we should win this comfortably really. Would be very disappointing not too. Probably even worse than losing to them on the opening day.

If CP play anything like they've played lately we should win by 10-0... but then we don't seem to be able to kill off games and I suppose it'll be a hard fought 2-1

This lot have had 50 shots against them in their last two matches, and managed only 8 of their own. Their last two games were against Brighton and Fulham. Somehow they have managed to get 4 points from those two games. Crazy stuff.

I thought we would beat West Brom. I'm not confident we'll beat Palace. I think it'll be another draw.

Important match for sure. The three points are crucial and will guarantee gaining on either Chelsea or Liverpool or both. Plus, Leicester will likely pick up three. I hope James starts and not Martial. Perhaps Matic will start in one of the two CM spots. I think you could see Telles in place of Shaw.

I would actually put a few pennies on Leicester dropping points against Burnley, so yeah, this is a must win. We need that buffer before the derby.

Cavani would be a better comparison.

    This season

    Zaha 9 goals 2 assists
    Cavani 7 goals 2 assists
Its not about just about his goals. Its their ability to pick up points when hes not present (goes way beyond his gials and assists) so definitely not more comparable to Cavani over Bruno.

They have no player of Brunos quality so that isn't worth comparing. The plenty of points United recently dropped may not have happened if Pogba, Cavani was available.

Never in a million years. Zaha is their star man and go to guy. It’s no wonder his stats are worst than Bruno’s when he plays around lesser players. Previous poster is right; Zaha’s influence on them is similar to Bruno’s with us.

True, but I think they were outplayed both times and got somewhat lucky.
We completely outplayed Palace and were robbed. We snatched defeat from the jaws of victory and then went on to do exactly the same against West Brom, but even more impressively!
