Hard to believe ETH supposedly wants to leave his functioning football team to coach this headless mess. A mad man.
Honestly the opportunity to get this club back on the tracks is one most managers would love to do because of how big we are.

Having said that, if you weren’t given the power to shift the majority of these players, you’d be running for the hills. I doubt he’s be even considering coming to us if he wasn’t given those assurances, it’s just a death trap otherwise.

I don't rate maguire and don't remember this exact moment but in the bigger picture surely he's calling for offside from the knock one where the Everton player runs from behind him? Or are we making stuff up to be annoyed by?
Looks to me like his hand goes up before he's even seen Richarlison come up from behind him and get involved, so I don't know what exactly he's signalling for. And just for your information, I don't actually think that he thinks he's still playing for Leicester.

not helped by the non existent running off the ball
You don't get that with Matic, Pogba, Sancho and Ronaldo.

This team is built for Serie A ten years ago. Very little pace and off the ball movement. We are so slow and often play the ball to a player who is standing on his heels.

That goal is on Matic, my eyes hurt just watching the replays.

The standard of our midfield is bad enough but the fact its not really been addressed for a few years is quite shocking.

Next season lads ... things will be better !
even after that, awb had a chance to close down and clear but decided to walk

Either these players' awareness is going to have to massively improve or ETH will not be able to successfully implement his style here.

The number of times these guys are in positions which make it impossible for their teammates to pass to them is an absolute joke
    .
Exactly. So much ball watching. Off the ball runs are so rare they raise their hand damn near everytime as if to tell the team mate look here I'm making a run.

We are leaking goals, RR decided to curb our attacking instincts. Now, we look shit in attacking. This will be a lost or draw, I guess RR has to take responsibility.

Rangnick has us playing absolutely horrendous football.
I think people are still clinging onto that 10 minutes against Crystal Palace.

I have zero faith that he can turn this around in the second half.

Going out for a walk now. This season is over for me now. Results are fine but lack of effort is quite disappointing

Maguire is shit but I doubt he’s asking for handball. He’s probably signalling to the linesman that his hand didn’t touch the ball. It’s a counter-appeal.

He probably lifted his hand to say it's not a handball. Our captain is a man of contradiction, an enigma

Ole really built the worst squad possible
And yet at the time people were saying we'd turned a corner squad-wise. I really feel this is deeper than just "bad squad". The culture at the club is rotten and a new manager and some new players won't change a thing. We overpay everyone, we focus on commercials, as a culture football is second priority at best. Culture within every organization, football clubs included, is critical. The players know United are a commercial entity, not a footballing one, and it shows.

I wouldn't blame a single player for the goal, it's brought about by indecision and players not making themselves available quickly We had full control and then stopped in the centre looking for a pass, nothing on so we did a pointless ball to Matic who is surrounded and their counter happens from there.

If as a team we're playing for each other and more decisive that goal never happens, it's why we've conceded so many, we're so disjointed and dwell too long.

I wish I was doing the half time team talk, " feck off to dubai, the lot of ya, go and buy your bling, schill your shitty merch, tweet about politics, fight in pubs, argue with the crowd, whatever the feck you would rather be doing than play football, just feck off and do it, don't come back, we will forfeit this match and play kids for the rest of the season. Get your agents busy, you will never play for me again. Twats."

Midfield gets so much focus but the guys who should be our match winners and stars, Ronaldo, Sancho, Rashford, Bruno and Pogba have been pathetic this season.

We're just going through the motions, at this point. The season has been over for us for weeks. I wish we could just fast-forward to the Summer when/if we get ETH in. This is just a waste of everyone's time. Really pissed off with our team. All of their cards are marked, as far as I'm concerned. Happy for them all to get replaced.

A bad squad doesn't lead the league in comeback wins. That poster is just clueless.

Surely it's clear by now that this team plays horrendous football no matter who the manager is. Or are we going to blame the sixth consecutive manager for the exact same problems, as if each and every one over the course of a decade all magically happened to have precisely the same shortcomings?
But... The players are different haha

The last time I enjoyed watching us play was when the prem returned after COVID with martial, rashford, Bruno all on fire.

Since the end to that season, it's been so depressing crap braindead football game after game. 2nd place finish last year really flattered us, it was a painful watch throughout the whole campaign.

The effort levels on this team is beyond a joke. Watching statues game in game out is the most frustrating thing going. Misplaced passes, failure to win the second ball, failure to convert chances and poor decision making top this team off. I really have no idea how we're even in the top 10.

I love how people think he can't be blamed for that as if it's such a hard skill.

He is a defender standing in front of a ball going straight towards him.

He is supposed to be able to block it and not have it spin off him into the goal unless he is made of paper or a sponge as you say.

It's the easiest job he could have defending just standing there
Yeah, imagine taking a quick step to the right rather than having sloth-like reflexes. Unimaginable.

Precisely. His only job is to get in the way, and he can't even do that right. We won't even go to his abysmal passing this half.

Surely not?! That's almost twice a minute?
Did you watch the first half?

    —————

But seriously, lot of drama queens in this thread. First half wasn’t great, but we’re losing to a jammy deflected goal. You all need to untwist your knickers. We’ll smash them this half.

Solskjaer has totally and utterly fecked us rotten. To think that our clown school board were reluctant to sack him shows you everything you need to know about how incompetently this club is run.
