Listening to Shaw & Maguire post match suggested they were really disappointed with the result, my biggest concern is that they go into this game thinking they should be further ahead and it plays on the mind

    Martial - Cavani - Rashford

Front three and we'll hammer them - rest Bruno as well.

We should not play with fire and do to many changes.

Fulham have been playing better then what table is showing.

    Greenwood Cavani Rashford

Donny, Martial, Fred to come on.
Greenwood not been good but deserves a start, Martial been blowing chances for too long. That team will have enough to beat Fulham. Cavani must start.

We could quite easily be down to third behind City and Leicester by the time we face Fulham and behind City again as we take on Sheff U so we really should be winning both of those games to keep us up there.
Spank them both and I'll be a happy bunny! :D

    Fulham's last 8

    Leicester 1-2 Fulham
    City 2-0 Fulham
    Fulham 1-1 Liverpool
    Fulham 0-0 Brighton
    Newcastle 1-1 Fulham
    Fulham 0-0 Southampton
    Spurs 1-1 Fulham
    Fulham 0-1 Chelsea

They don't concede many goals so we certainly aren't going to smash them like some have said

Great post and a great way to keep our expectations in check! I’d certainly take another 1-0 win like Burnley in this one.

We've certainly dried up in terms of goals recently, Martial Rashford and Bruno all being out of form at the same time is probably the major reason why.

The defence has tightened up though at least so if the big 3 attacking players are still out of form hopefully we have enough to nick another 1-0 win

Nope we won't. Parker has massively improved them since their rubbish form from the start of the season through to around November. I reckon they might have beaten Chelsea too had they not went down to ten.

It'll be a tight cagey affair and a win would be a bloody good result. I expect a very nervy game and at best a tight win. If we aren't at our best up top, I fear a draw and ultimately, two points dropped.

Pogba is key in this game. Fulham are tough to break down at the moment, and we need some maverick ability in the middle third to open it up. I don’t want to see him playing out wide, he needs to be central in this one.

On the flip side they're without two key players and this will be their third high intensity game in 8 days. If we run them ragged early on then floodgates could open in the second half.

Guys random question but what’s the lowest position a team has been at Christmas that has gone on to win the league?

Came here to basically post the same thing. Rashford and Martial are very out of form. We'll do well to score a goal and keep a clean sheet.

Hopefully our final third finishing will be back for this one. Just win. That's it.

I don't like Rashford on the RW so if he plays I hope he is back in the left side.

Martial and Cavani should be challenging each other for the CF spot. I don’t think playing all 3 is a balanced attack.

Yeah, I thought about that as well - dissapointed with a Liverpool result might halt their momentum if they really felt they had a shot beforehand.

I'm curious if Pogba has stamina to start this as well, and I would hope Bruno and Rashford would get a rest - but thats wishful thinking and probably not a good idea.

Them being disappointed is a good thing. As is the fact that Pogba reportedly apologised in the dressing room for his miss. This tells me that the lads will be extra motivated and focused for the next games. Beat two relegation zone teams and progress in the FA Cup, and I think we can look at a point at Anfield positively enough.

Rest Harry, Shaw and Bruno. Even give Rashford a rest here.

    DDG
    AWB Bailly Lindelöf Telles
    Matic
    VDB Pogba
    Greenwood Cavani James

Centrebacks shouldn't be in need of resting. Look at Terry who played what, 3 consecutive seasons without resting.

The league should be the priority, so even though we have Liverpool again in the weekend, we need to field a strong team. I would be in favor of resting Fernandes, however. He has not looked good in his last few games, so could probably use a game off.

    DDG
    AWB - Bailly - Maguire - Telles
    Pogba - Matic
    Greenwood - VDB/Mata - Rashford
    Cavani

    3-1 win.

Harry has played most minutes of any footballer in the world or something like that. If there is a chance to give him a rest we should try to take it.
But I agree we shouldn´t rotate the defense if it isn´t needed but Harry has played so much football.

A bit of freshness needed here. Rashford and Bruno look like they’d benefit from a small break:

    DDG

    AWB
    Lindelof
    Maguire
    Shaw

    Matic
    Pogba
    VDB

    Greenwood
    Cavani
    Martial

The likes of Bruno, Rashford, Fred & Bailly on the bench.

Back to winning ways please boys! 0-2.

3 points here is a must, and it would make the point at Anfield feel much better.

    De Gea
    AWB Bailly Maguire Shaw
    Matic Pogba
    Rahford Bruno Martial
    Cavani

Start strong and bring on the likes of VDB, Telles, Greenwood around the 60th min if its going good.

As Pogba is into some form I actually wouldn’t mind resting Bruno for one game

    ————————Matic————————
    ——-VDB————————-Pogba——-
    Greenwood————————Rashford
    —————————Martial——————

Bruno and Cavani to come on if needed. Tough game, as they all are.

It’s a potential banana skin if we don’t show up as we know we can. I hope we put in a professional showing. Personally I would rest Rashford and play Bruno as I think Rashford is having a massively detrimental impact on the side at the moment.

I definitely think we need to freshen things up a bit but we can’t afford to take them lightly. They put in very good performances against Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea and should be treated with respect. I would play Pogba in the more advanced role and rest Bruno, Marcus, Shaw and a centre back.

Cowardly point at Anfield justifiable if we beat Fulham and Sheff U. Anything less than six points is unacceptable.
Or masterful? This was the first time in over 2 years that Liverpool did not score at Anfield. Let's give the boys some credit shall we?
