    Injuries are killing us.

I thought joses subs could be better today. Both martial and rashford should have stayed on.
This wasn't about injuries, the team selected today should be able to win with ease

Can the fans who are acting like Arse fans please kindly piss off? We lose one game (and yes, we were shit), and you’re losing your head saying wake the feck up? Jesus Christ. Same ones who were probably praising Jose to high heaven 3 weeks ago.

We were very comfortable and likely to work out the way to win until Jones went off injured. 2 individual mistake and the team lost the plot.

Not sure if you have played some football but from my little experience, the manager is not always the reason why players play poorly. It's too simplistic to blame a manger when pro footballers are failing to do the most basic things on the pitch. Look at Mata today. What did Jose have to do with Juan Mata not controlling a ball and giving it away cheaply? Or what did he have to do with Lindelof not clearing an easy aerial ball? I agree the manager certainly has to get the stick when a team is in bad form but we need to look at the whole picture. The cold reality is that today's loss had little to do with team selection or tactics. It ws just very poor performance from the lads.

Jose has to turn things around now to earn his pay. But we have to get behind the team. The season is not over yet.
Mistakes happen and I am not going to throw players or managers under the bus for one-off mistakes. I am not too irritated by just the loss but many saw this coming from a mile away. We have been playing so poorly in attack for a few games now shows there is something wrong in the way we train about it.

The players aren't as poor as they are showing in the attacking third. Keeping Lingard on was a silly error by Jose too. He was a liability in attack and adds nothing. He is the Cleverley of our attack and will be shown up far more in a lower level team just like Cleverley has been.

We have a large amount of average players. Sometimes those players may punch above their weight but when you look at the overall quality of a lot of our players, can you really blame it on the manager? Jose gets his selections and substitutions wrong sometimes but I put more blame on the players than the manager. They're the ones kicking the ball. Jose doesn't force them to have a bad pass or poor touch. We lacked urgency today until the last 10'. Had we not gone 2-0 down on two very bad defending mistakes, this would have been another 1-0 win or a scoreless draw. We just didn't create enough chances.
People keep talking about our players being average just to absolve Jose of any blame. Mkhitariyan and Lukaku are his buys. Rashford and Martial are two top drawer young players who have had a good season so far. Mata who has proven his worth. Pogba is world class and Fellaini is a Jose favorite.

Out of those players only Mata seems to be the one who Jose wouldn't have bought or would not trust yet it's the players who are average even though the manager is happy with them or bought them? If so, that is again the manager's issue for not rectifying this in 3 windows.

Point is teams with worse personnel play better football than us at times yet it's the players who are all to blame. Sometimes we need to look beyond them to see the main cause maybe someone else.

    Fair points mate.

Apart from some tactical errors and perhaps like you have hinted, not preparing well for attacking play, I just think we are underestimating the impact of the loss of Pogba, Fellaini and Carrick while Miki, Mata and Herrera have been off form. I think this has been killing the team's creativity and attacking play which was, in a way, our strength early this season. I agree with those who said there were chinks in our armour despite the wins but what was going well for us was our attack. We could just turn it on after average play and knock in four goals. So what suddenly happened? I believe it's partly due to the collapse of our midfield.

I see a lot of blame going around about our average players, bad touches, bad passes and it is the players fault and Mou comes out of this mess smelling like roses. Even he said you should ask the team why they were so bad today and not up for it. Firstly he is responsible for the team he puts out and the tactics used. He also plays a huge part in the motivation of the team. If we take a look at the first goal, Mata looses possession and 3-4 Hudderfield players attack with pace and desire. Firstly, what was Mata doing trying to get onto a ball or retrieve a ball just in front of the defense, no Matic or Herrera in sight. Not only that the other players didn't really sprint to get back to cover. There were a lot of these type of errors all over the place during the game. I still can't believe that when chasing for a goal/goals your tactics are to put Smalling next to Lukaku???
These errors, passes, touches, shooting at goal, tactics etc are all things that should be worked on in training.
I can accept 2 or even 3 players having an off day but a whole team, even the untouchable De Gea, something is really wrong at a whole different level.

It's odd that you can't see behind the results and debate what's being said. It's not about the draw against Liverpool, or the loss against Huddlesfield, it's much bigger issues. People are concerned that how we're playing is going to cost us more and more points.

If you look at our earlier wins, the points that were being made was that the scoresheet didn't really reflect the performances, that the dynamics in the team looked off. The hope was that we just needed a bit of time for the players to gel, playing with Lukaku up front, how to get the best out of him, meanwhile winning matches and scoring loads is great anyway. Then there was the match against Everton, where we were absolutely bobbins and lucky that a dire Everton side didn't score in the second half with the chances they had, instead they gifted us our second goal and collapsed afterwards. Then there was the match against Southampton, where the arguments made afterwards was that we were winning while having an off day. Well, we've been having off days for some time now and it's catching up to us.

If you're only looking at the results: We're doing brilliant at the moment, second behind City, scored shitloads and barely let in goals.

If you're looking at how we're performing, well, there's a good reason to be concerned about how long those results will look brilliant.

I’ve never claimed that we’re playing brilliantly, but we’re certainly not playing bad. The general feeling in this place shifts from week to week - I’ve seen people say sell Lindelöf after a quarter of a season for feck sake. Everyone’s acting like spoilt brats.

We’re clearly not ‘there’ yet, at City’s level. I understand that, and I’ve demonstrated my frustration in an appropriate way. Look at my posts. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows in my head mate, I’m just realistic and sensible.
