    Martin Skrtel plays for these.

He's only 35, I thought he was older than that.

The bad news for us is that these players and this team sinks really low on the back of loss streaks and pressure.
We saw that last season, where until there was some kind of catalyst, we were hopeless.

We also struggle against teams that sit in against us, and I imagine we'll see the same tomorrow.

I'm not anti Scottish, I just wanted Moyes out.
They spent a total of 6.5m on transfers this summer, and that was for three players! 6.5m also happens to be their transfer record..

Their total team market value is worth less less than what we spent on Maguire. I know it aint right to compare but we really should beat this lot 0-5 with our reserves.

I'd go with a b team, not a disaster if you lose, but really important you are fresh for Everton and a round trip to Turkey would ruin, it seems youve been suffering badly from European hangovers. I'd go....

    Henderson
    Williams Tuanzebe Maguire Shaw
    Matic Pogba
    VdB
    Mata Cavani Martial
Then for Everton bring back the fresh!

    DDG
    AWB Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    Fred McT
    Bruno
    Greenwood Martial Rashford

I like the diamond, but only if VdB is in there for his intelligence.

    Prediction: IB 0-1 United

This should be a match we can rotate a little, they gave PSG decent match but they won comfortably in the end.

For me i'd like to see DVB start this one alongside Fernandes with a CDM behind. Think the fullbacks could do with rotating, but with no Telles that might be hard.

    4-3-3

DDG, Shaw, Maguire, Lindelof, Williams, Matic, VDB, Fernandes, Rashford, Martial, Mata

They had chances against PSG but were very wasteful and got done on the break. You'd imagine they will try to be a bit more compact and not leave themselves exposed. They can be got at though, Moise Kean tore them up so I would (in my heart) expect us to win. Honestly though, it wont be a very entertaining watch. Two teams desperate not to lose for various reasons, has 0-0 written all over it.

We'll probably make a few changes since we can make five subs anyway. Hoping to see Henderson, Tuanzebe, van de Beek, and Martial come in... Could be a start for Cavani as well. Everton at the weekend has become a must-win after the defeat to Arsenal.

    Henderson
    Wan-Bissaka Tuanzebe Maguire Shaw
    Pogba Matic
    Mata van de Beek Martial
    Cavani

This is something I wouldn't mind seeing against a team I expect to sit back a lot. Williams, Ighalo, Fosu-Mensah, James, Mengi etc would be ideal subs if we can be 2-0 up after 60. I wouldn't be surprised if we were to go a little bit stronger as it's the away game though. We need 6 points against this lot then we can just make changes and use a defensive set up against PSG & RB in the final two games, give Henderson some UCL experience etc. Ideally they'll be at least one draw between PSG & RB in their double-header, then we'd have a massive chance to win the group with just 1 point from the final two fixtures.

    1. We should give a rest to Bruno, Rashford, McT and Fred.
    2. Matic, VdB, and Pogba need minutes.
    3. I think Pogba should be trusted and played at his favorite position, and this game is good opportunity to get some confidence. I know, the Caf hates Pogba but Ole can’t afford to keep him benched.
    4. Greenwood needs as much practice as CF.

Martial, Bruno and Rashford to come off the bench if we need goals at around 60 mins.

Something like this. Win the 2 games against them and we qualify without having to worry about the last 2.

Why are United better in Europe than they are in the league?
“It is not something we can’t put our finger on. Our league results haven’t been as successful, but we go in with the same focus and preparation.”

How should United fans feel at the moment?
“Well we work every day for our fans to have something to celebrate. The process we are going through, we are focused and hopefully tomorrow night we can stamp our authority on the group.”

Paul Pogba may never fulfil United potential?
“Every player is frustrated after the defeat. We need consistency from every one of our players. Paul has had a difficult period with injury, with COVID, so I think we have seen plenty of positives.”

Maguire asked about Roy Keane comments on United lacking leaders
“I haven’t seen his comments but we don’t bring the negativity into the place, we stay positive and I can for sure say that there’s a lot of leaders in this squad, staff and players.”

    How do United find consistency?
“The main thing is working hard, trying to improve. Coming into training each day, trying to improve. We want to be consistent. Last season when we found consistency we achieved third in the Premier League and Champions League football.”

    United's squad depth
“It is always positive to have options, we have a style we want to play. Sometimes on paper it looks 4-4-2, 4-3-3. The principles are still there, for us when we start with three at the back it is the same as when we have four at the back.”

Dean Henderson to play vs Basaksehir

    Not the same atmosphere tomorrow
“I think football now is really affected by the virus and the environment is not how it normally is. In Turkey you have fanatic fans and of course to have the home fans with you is an advantage. We miss fans.”

    Solskjaer on inconsistency
“There are fine margins in games of football. There are games when you get the margins, games when they are against you. Teams have made their homework against you, and it was small margins. Leipzig as well, it wasn’t a 5-0 game.”

Maguire asked to assess his form
“We started off not in the best shape. We have worked hard since we came back from international break and since then we have been really good. We have conceded two own goals and a soft penalty. We are on the right track but we need to get the right balance.”

A team with Enzo Crivelli and Skretl can't be scary no ?

Anyway, after the Arsenal defeat we need to get at least a point to edge closer to the qualification and resting players before (our defeat to) Everton is a must.
