We can even make it a tactic to try to get fouls in the "Mata" area whenever he is playing

Not that I want to pick apart every moment now (nor do i care really), but lets be honest here. They hit the woodwork twice, and had loads of other chances. We scored a free kick and got a 90th minute own goal basically to win it, and then Rashford had a chance on the counter at the end. That's about all we did. None of that is planned at all, you don't plan to give up chance after chance and create nothing. It's a smash and grab, but it worked out so who cares. Lets not pretend like we outplayed them though (or ever even put them under pressure), so very far from the truth.

In my opinion Juve are the most balanced team in the CL this season and my favourites for the cup.
This was a massive result for us,no doubt.

I'm absolutely staggered I watched this is a pub behind enemy lines in Brexitland and cursed myself for doing so for 70 minutes. Then we went and beat the best team in Europe.

I always hated Ronaldo as a person after he traded us for Madrid, now he is celebrating his goal against us, with all the respect we show him, he has no respect in him, what a TWAT.

feck what Scholes and co say on BT , loved his reaction at the end , for me shows he still has some passion for the game.
No he shows how petty and thin skinned he is. United fluked it in Turin. The least he could do is to show respect to a great club by not rubbing it in

    There's only one United!
We went to Turin and we're not afraid of them.
Everyone thought they were going to massacre us.
They missed chances and we played till the end and made them pay for missing their chances.
They had not suffered any goal in the CL and we scored two.
    That's football.

Oh go and support the blues then.

You obviously have no feelings for United.
Cos the bitters are more sensible?

If tables were turned and we missed five open goals, I'm sure you'd be saying it was all fair to lose against a team who barely had a sniff on goal. These biased/blind fans claiming to be the only 'top reds' is doing me in...

The guy grew up supporting Madrid. He was always going to go there. He stayed an extra year with us because SAF asked him to, and he loves SAF. Yes, he celebrated the goal, it was in his home stadium. I don't think he would have celebrated to that extent had he scored at OT.

Sorry, I don't remember them missing any open goals, when was that then?

I believe you would actually preferred if we lost.

All this team needs is belief that we can go places like turin and put a performance in. We have the players in certain positions that can deliver if they just had the freedom and confidence to express themselves. When we turn it on like we did in the last five minutes and second halves of Newcastle and Bournemouth we look fantastic. Just need that consistency to play like that in both halves. Still worrying that we only beating teams by one goal margins.

Tonight's performance was more about resolve and determination than quality. We had the right intent but the quality in the final third was poor. Lindelof, shaw and martial were great. Pogba was atrocious and easily the worst player on the pitch. We can't go into the city game relying on lucky breaks again. Need more upfront and big players stepping up.

Was a decent goal and he acknowledged the United fans in the corner moments after celebrating.

He's getting on now and still doing it. He should be chuffed with his consolation goal.

Rio spot on about Martial mostly starting off too deep and needs to be nearer to the box to get the best out of him. Seems more of a tactical decision though.
TIt's because the midfield three was DM-DM-CAM. Because of that, Martial didn't have a huge amount of lateral support.

By contrast in the last few games, we've played DM-LAM-RAM with Pogba as the link man to Martial, which has got a lot more out of the latter.

It a comprimise either way. If we play two DMs, we're extra solid but lacking in attack. If we play one DM, we're a bit shakier at the back, but Martial gets an extra man to play off.

I didn't see the full game, but tuned in when it was 1-0 at 80 minutes and it turned. Juventus can thank Cuadrado for that loss, could have squared it sooner to Dybala and then misses his chance to make it 2-0.

One of the best ever players United have ever had and he gets called a snake. Jesus Christ
FFS, I did not say he is not the best player in the world, I hated him since the day he traded the better team in the world for the shitty Madrid at that time. His celebration today is a proof he cares shit for us. All this respect he gets from us he does not deserve, showing his muscles to us, I liked the look on his bitter face at the end. This is my opinion, weather you like or not.

People forget fast. I absolutely acknowledge his contribution when he was at the club, but he care shit for us, when he came here with Madrid and Juve he received a phenomenal reception. But when he scored today, he showed us his 6 pack. This reflects his selfish personality.

In a similar way to how Derby can win at Old Trafford, yeah. Technically, we can win.

I expect us to park the bus & try to escape with a 0-0. Similar to Anfield last 2 seasons.
We can, but Juve are several levels above us. It's like a Championship side coming to OT and saying that they can win. It can be done, but it is highly unlikely. A draw would be a fantastic result for us.

I do feel that some of you don't realise just how good Juve are. The last time they lost a match was in April, against Napoli (I think).
Have a bit of faith guys ;)

I agree. I respected him when he played for us but we owe him nothing, we were always a stepping stone for him and he left at the first chance he had. For me he'll be one of the best United players ever but I can't regard him as a United legend. His lack of respect was disappointing.

So many extremes. We played one of the best teams in the world, away. Far better than us at this point.

They were better than us for about an hour, though not by much. They detained us well, we detained them fairly well.

Ronaldo scored an unbelievable goal. After that they created many chances and we lost pressure and formation for about a quarter of an hour.

Last ten, we lifted our play, creating a few opportunites and levelled with a beautiful strike.

Finally, we were lucky being rewarded by our calculated strategy.

Total: impressive that we hang on and turn the game against top notch opposition in crucial game.
