Think we absolutely toy with this lot on the weekend. They put everything they had into the match tonight, we were abysmal, and it still wasn't enough for them to get 3 points.

    ------------------DDG----------------------
    AWB--Varane--Licha--Shaw
    ---------Sabi---------Lindelof---------
    ----------------Bruno---------------------
    Sancho-------------------Garnacho
    ---------------Rashford------------------

Think the fanbase was too hard on Garnacho today; he will bounce back. Fred needs dropping.

We clearly were the better side and probably should have won. Their keeper had to make a few great saves,. They barely arsed DDG all match. uncalled handball by them that led to their second goal which should have been dealt with easily but a bad miss kick by Varane.
Garnacho at fault for not passing it forward, not blaming ref decisions for us being too sloppy tonight that's for certain

I think Leeds will be flying they went toe to toe at Old Trafford and got away with a draw, they will be pumped for this game. Who can we play instead of Fred? Time to shift Martinez to midfield?

Honestly I think Rashfords game through the middle has progressed massively. Sancho being back means we finally have a winger who an start alongside Antony on the other side so I think it can be something we can build momentum with now
I agree he looks better than previously through the middle, but I still don’t like taking him off the left where he’s at his best.

In an ideal world where we have a #9 yeah. But given our options, I think we Sancho - Rashford - Antony would give quite a nice balance actually. Certainly far better than Weghorst.

Yeah that is the problem we have down middle

Needs to come up with a good plan. It’s amazing how lost our midfield always look without Casemiro.

I hope they spunked their energy tonight

    De Gea

    Dalot
    Varane
    Martinez
    Shaw

    ?
    Sabitzer
    Sancho

    Antony/Pellestri
    Rashford
    Garnacho
It will have to be Martinez. Malica At left back and Shaw at CB.
Martinez and Shaw are the only ones I feel comfortable with who can beat the press.

They'll go for the gut from the of so we must be prepared. Maybe play a bit more defensive and hit them on the counter. Also we looked pretty dangerous with Sancho-Rashford-Pellistri forward line yesterday so we should go with something similar on Sunday. Mobile, quick forward line instead of one with Weghorst. Also McTominay being fit would help cause we should go with a midfield 3. As much as posters hate Antony's guts for some reason we really need him too to bring balance and have us having the ball more.

A early goal to quiet the horrible, horrible bastard fans of theirs would be perfect. We win and start their further slide into the relegation zone and back down the leagues where the pricks should rightfully be. Can’t fecking stand the cnuts.

Antony being back would be great and, can’t believe I’m saying it, but AWB and McTominay in the team would be a boost.

We've battered Leeds several times with Maguire and Lindelof playing.

I thought it showed how paper thin our squad is due to injuries and suspension. Weghorst - love the guy a real 100% player. But not the required standard and from that performance I dont think Sabitzer is going to be long term either. When you're bringing Lindelof on as DM you know its bare bones time. Still gutsy disply to come back from 2-0 down. Old Trafford was rocking, Leeds fans did their bit tbf. Next season with more re-inforcements - I think its a title challenge. This year we are 2-3 players away (Striker, Mid, Defender).

I think Weghorst can have his uses but not for high intensity games like Leeds.

    I'd go with (if fit):

    de Gea
    AWB - Varane - Martinez - Shaw
    Sabitzer - Fred
    Antony - Bruno - Sancho
    Rashford

I think AWB would deal with Gnonto much better than Dalot could and his pace and gangly tackling will be needed in a game that will surely be stretched again. Antony helps the team keep the ball and shape very well which will be important. Worried about that midfield but not much choice really.

Since they used the concussion sub last night I hope that cnut has a mandatory 7 day suspension now. If you’re concussed you shouldn’t be allowed to play 3 days later.

Leeds will Press the feck out of Linderloff and Maguire. We need players who are comfortable on the ball and don’t panic. That rules out Fred too!

We cant go into this game with a midfield two. ( Pivot) Without casamiro (and the lack of any other CDM in the squad) we need three in there.
Id go Sabizer, Mainoo and Fred.
Which means sacrifising an attacker, play 4-4-2 rather than 4-3-3 This feels a must until Casamiro is back.

I’m seeing these back to back games against Leeds as if it was a 2 legged match.

    2-2 after the first leg.

Will be interesting to see how all the managers (Leeds looked to have 3 on the touch line) react.

EtH will tweak his selection for sure.

Well both seemed to cope when we gave Leeds a good drubbing more than once.

And if anything under Bielsa they were more of a pressing team than they are now.

No point having a squad if you don't use it.

How do you play 4-4-2 with 3 in midfield?

Im confident for this one. EtH will have the squad up for this and Leeds have already hit us with a surprise.

    Need a midfield 3.

Is scotty back or still injured??

Upfront has to be Sancho, Rashford and Garnacho.

Knowing our luck Leeds will appoint a new permanent manager before Sunday and will have to face them with a another new manager bounce

I am hoping they spent all their luck in the first leg, this should be drubbing.

Unfortunately, I don't see the starting XI changing all that much...

    de Gea
    Dalot Varane Martinez Shaw
    Sabitzer Fred
    Sancho Bruno Rashford
    Weghorst

Hopefully have a couple back from injury!

    Rashford.
Shaw didn't play for 2 straight games before these last 3 games. It's like people are not paying attention.

Let’s hammer them this time! We’re use to scoring plenty of goals past these.

No reason to be nervous for this one. Fix the issues from last game. They will come at us and we will have plenty of space to attack.

Isn't Martinez suspended for the 1st leg v Barcelona? And perhaps a partner for Varane will be looked at. Martinez to then play the Casemiro role for this game.
