Our players worked their arses off. Good to see, still very sloppy with the passes but Leicester defended very well.

Get the feck in. Huge win. Staryed off brilliantly but then they really pushed on to their credit and made it hard for us. Great defending all game though, they didnt really create much, only real chances came from random deflections.

Leicester away always tough - 3 pts is all you can hope for

You can never be perfect 100% of the time so these are the types of games you have to grind it out to get the important extra points. They've beaten City and Chelsea, drawn with LPool - they're a solid team.

Good win, but poor performance. I think the only period we looked good in was at the start of the match. After we got the goal, Liecester were comfortably the better team for long period. Though saying that they themselves were not great either. Not a great match all round.

Good result, I think we are suffering due to the lack of options in midfield. Matic was exhausted in the end and Ole doesnt have any options to substitute him.

Great game from De Gea, Herrera and Pogba, between them its the MOTM

What a nervy ending, 3 points is all you can take from this game. We started somewhat well but whole game went to shit after about 25 minutes.

This will the match where Ole will get his first loss and finally be exposed.

Our right side is way too weak. Lingard's so bad at supporting our defensively poor right backs that Leceister will have a field day there. If Albrighton starts on the left, we are doomed. His crosses from that area will all go to the far post and target Jones' poor positioning. Matic will be in big trouble; he'll be too slow in covering the ground, and Herrera will constantly have to cover for him, leaving our right side even weaker. Pogba will be exposed, defensively, as the left winger will keep entering the space in between he and Matic time and time again, leaving us exposed to Maddison's creativity and Vardy's quick movement.

We can open them up and score goals, but we lack the quality on the right side to really hurt them. Lingard and Young and just poor going forward, yet we are so defensively weak there that we can't just field Dalot and anyone else together. Our best bet is to play Bailly at right back and Dalot ahead of him (like how Puel plays Pereira ahead of a more defensive right back), but that won't ever happen under Ole.

I'll call out the result as well: 3-2 to Leceister and papers (plus the Caf) questioning Ole's credibility as the United manager.
Guess you were wrong about the result

Or some of them are just poor.
You're arguing that those same players are changing their attitude every single minute, step back for a moment and think that through.

BTW im not saying that there aren't poor players in our starting 11, just that attitude excuse is the biggest pile of steaming shiit ever.

Comfortably the better team? Don't think so. They huffed and puffed but lacked quality upfront. Need to start killing teams off and that starts with personnel changes upfront.

Fred. If there's nobody then we are fecked cause you can't go for the rest of the season playing those 3 all game.
I do agree, our squad is not in a good place.
Just thought there weren't many other options to change things up for Ole today.
You could argue that Young was doing badly and could be replaced by Dalot. You could argue (as I did) for Martial - Rashford - Lukaku, but it seemed like Rashford was carrying his knock from earlier in the game and needed to go out.
I've seen people ask for Mata but he would have left a already exposed Young completely alone.

I wasn't looking to target you, but I wondered what could actually have been done within the setting of the game. Fred as I mentioned to someone else has shown himself to be a good runner but struggles to get the ball close enough when he dribbles and gets dispossessed because of it. His passes have also been in the sloppy category. I was wondering if you thought Fred in for Lingard could be an option and pack the central midfield even more. I think that could have been a solution only if we played with Martial & Rashford as wide-forwards so our fullbacks wouldn't be asked to defend from a even harder position.

Maybe mate but he sold Fellaini who has shown he can come in a offer something. Fred passing couldn't be any worse today and we needed energy today....

Good win. Leicester stood extremely high last 25 mins. Disappointed that we did not punish them for it. So many great counter-attack possibilities that we gave away.

0- 1 away to Leicester, a damn fine result. However that was not a damn fine performance.
Saying that a clean sheet away, again and hopefully we move above Arsenal. We can’t ask for more but what I will ask for is that we show just a little bit more get up and go and be more clinical in attack.
I couldn’t believe how lazy and inept Lukaku was, there was one moment when he was just stoo there instead of making a run for a pass or taking a defender with him, and this is after coming on as a sub. That to me shows a damn poor attitude!
Over all though quite pleased, Rashfor could have done better with that header early on looked a lazy effort but made up with a great finish.

Looking at the table makes those dropped points against Burnley even more galling. Could have been 3 points clear in 4th next week. :(

Still nobody would have expected us to be where we are now a few months back. Just have to keep grinding these results out.

Naaaah that means nothing, Big McT signed a contract and was put back in the under 23's the next day
Too bad "Big McT" has a "smaller" star power than the French kid :)

Anyways, I'm happy it worked out fine in the end and Martial should be fresh for the Fulham game so all is well that ends well..

Jones has outperformed Bailly since Ole took over. And the rest of this season under Mourinho. And all last season.

In saying that, I'm tipping Bailly to start this one. His pace might be needed against Vardy, although he also leaves us more open to being hurt by Maguire at set pieces. Shame Smalling doesn't seem to be ready as he's more suited to dealing with both.
I'd go bailly and Lindeloff every time rather than Jones or Smalling. J&S are just mistakes waiting to happen

Not sure why some people continue to put Smalling in with the likes of Jones. Smalling makes far, far less mistakes than any of our other defenders (barring maybe Lindelof over the last two months). Bailly, Rojo and Jones are all mistake-prone defenders. Smalling makes no more than most good defenders, but for some reason they really get highlighted. For instance, he makes less mistakes than the likes of VVD and Maguire. Obviously those two provide far more on the ball than Smalling ever could though.
