Can’t really compare matic to Pirlo like hahaha
he’s never been about dictating the game he was a midfield ball winner who can’t really do that now
But he’s still a better passer than Fred, in fact you probably are as well
He was never a ball winner. He was a defensive midfielder who could apparently control a game. We still have people saying that even now. The excuses about his legs being gone and needing a rest were already prevalent when he was 28.

It's the awful performance from the team that makes people criticise the manager. You understand that, surely? They're not suggesting Ole himself played poorly.
no but they pin the blame solely on Ole

You only just realised this? It’s been pretty evident for nearly 2 years...

He’s here because he’s a yes man for the Glazers. They have played an absolute blinder with him. Get a club legend who everyone likes, achieve bare minimum on the pitch, get that CL money, no fan pushback or backlash because it’s Ole, our legend who we all like. You’ve gotta admire the hustle from Joel & Ed. They’ve got our fanbase right where they want it. We’re happily accepting top 4 & no trophies.

“why invest big? We finished 2nd last season!”
No i havent just realised that if you saw any of my posts of the past two years.

Imagine these players wouldn't mind the odd medal to go with the non existant 2nd place trophy.
Not exactly sure the likes of Haaland etc and people we're trying to sign are falling over themselves to sign for Arsenal because of their FA Cup wins.

It'd obviously be nice to win trophies but the most important thing is to consolidate our league/CL position otherwise we will end up like Arsenal and completely irrelevant in the competitions that really matter.

Nah he was a stopper, him and Fred are our worst midfield combo like, VDB having to gain match sharpness with those two behind him...not a good midfield

Which is far from a ball winner. Freds a ball winner, Kante is a ball winner. But no, it's a insipid and sterile midfield.

95% of their players would not get anywhere near our squad.

I think we're the only fanbase who doesn't get the link between players performance and management.

We play bad and it's somehow a defence of a manager because it proves his players are bad. We play well and the manager gets praised. Easiest job in football that, no situation to be blamed.
Vardy, consistently the top scorer in the premiership, Ndidi the best DM statistically in the premiership, An experienced CB in Evans, a too quality GK in Kasper, seriously Leicester are third for a reason...

Really? He got exposed by Slavia Prague with no players of note.

Ole is not the long term coach to get us to a winning level but let’s not pretend that Rodgers is. His side has been badly exposed on many occasions yet no one seems to mention it
The team on a fraction of your budget and had injuries all season.

Bad day bad performance, it was coming though, players out coming back after not much game time, others played to much , this was a bridge to far, looked leggy all game, it's a typical game after a European game which was a tough away win, the batteries need charging in some players. Foxes had a good weeks prep for this game and it showed.
You cannot expect to get a fighting display out of those guys in aspects of how the squad is. I'm not to disappointed ok were out, a good finish in league and go and win Europa league now. Fred was awful hes played alot along with Mctom, as has Greenwood fair play to him at his age. It's the cup it happens.

Right to rest players, but tactically set up completely wrong and as before takes and age before a change of system or personel.
We can say the trip to Italy took a little out of the legs but to leave the striker so isolated for so long is down to game management.
Ole needs a cup to keep the doubters away, this may have been our best chance.

I like Ole and think he's doing an Ok job. He got his team selection wrong yesterday though.

Matic, Fred and DVB is a car crash of a midfield.

Having said that, I still wouldn't expect the team to play as badly as they did, Absolutely shocking,

We badly need reinforcements in the summer.
