I am a Manchester United supporter not their accountant. I can't give a feck about getting into the CL only to get our arse spanked back in the Europa League by football 'giants' like Leipzig and Istanbul Basaksehir who rely on a tenth of our transfer budget. I also can't care less about his experience either. United are among the highest paid clubs in the world. We could have gotten a better manager then some guy who tanked it at Cardiff.

The reality is simple. We spent 415m on mostly tripe, we won nothing and we're heading to next summer with a huge rebuild to be made. I think no one can really argue with that. Even the staunchest pro Ole guys like Howson and Rio claim that this squad has huge multiple problems although tbf they tiptoe away from mentioning who brought these 'stars' at the club in the first place

Regarding myself, well, I am a data analyst so while I was in the middle of huge decisions being made and my opinion was valued I can't really say that I was the one making the final decision on anything. What I do know is that if we threw 415m in the bin that I assure that neither myself nor the people taking those decisions would class ourselves as a success. Actually our careers would be as good as over at that point. Id be flipping burgers at McDonalds after that.
Getting Chmps League is ranked higher than winning domestic trophies these days so I can only assume you will be happy by us winning the Premier League or Chmps League and if that is your benchmark of satisfaction as a Utd fan then enjoying football will be a hard slog for you.

Well as a supporter I can't be bothered getting into the CL if it means getting shat upon at the early stages by some third rated team with 1/10 of our budget. United had spent enough money to seriously compete for trophies and we won nothing. Instead we're looking to yet another huge rebuild.

    Thanks,

McTominay does come under stick for his perceived lack of ability etc. He has some very good games and some not so good, playing as a 'defensive' midfielder does expose him, especially against teams like City. That said would prefer having him in and around the team rather than jokers like Lingard.

And those three games happened in a 4 or so week period??
It went south quickly then but the team were entertaining in the two previous seasons and there is no denying that but the bloke did better than LVG, Jose and Moyes in that regard .....that is all I am saying.
So you're happy with runner up is what you're saying. How many times has City run through a 4 week stretch like that?

Yeah he should be a box to box squad player in my opinion and nothing more. What is your take on the situation behind the scenes after watching that interview.

Well you simply cannot be the best all the time!
It is not that often that coaches like Pep and Klopp come along and the simple fact is they have assembled two of the best sides ever seen in England and they are the dominant force at this point in time.
Were you following Utd when we had the results against Newcastle and the Saints

It really does come across that there is a fractured mentality in the squad, and clearly a lack of a senior leadership group within the team. Genuinely think we would see a better Harry Maguire if the weight of captaincy was taken off him for next season. From the outside looking in, some players are prepared for the long haul e.g McTominay and others are happy to win lose draw, dont give a feck.

It's an utter cop out when the theme of the month from the pundit's is that it is expected that some players wont give their all because Ragnick is gone as manager in a few months.

I know we can hark back to when we was tearing things up left and right but look at this side when we beat Chelsea to win the Champions League. VDS, Evra, Hargreaves, Rio, W Brown, , Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez, Carrick, Scholes with Anderson, Giggs, Nani, Fletcher, Silvestre, O'Shea. That's not only a team with extremely high standards who worked for each other, but that's a squad who was full of leaders. Arguably 8 proper captains in that squad.

The biggest shock for me was how he replied to the accusation that some players weren't trying. He said 'Well hard for me to tell in the game Ill have to re-watch the game and look at body language'. That means he thinks its possible or even likely. Surely he should have been shocked and said something like 'What?!!! No that's not possible. I can tell every fan out there that Im sorry for the result but I can guarantee every one in the dressing room was giving their all and I stand my my team....etc'

Yeah that question definitely put Scott on the back foot and certainly suggested there is commitment problems in that dressing room
