Going to be great to watch Matic try to stay with the likes of Ozil, Iwobi Lacazette, etc. Matic needs a rest, Fellaini shouldn't be starting either. How low have we fallen that we are envious of Arsenal these days.

Arsenal's poorest performances this season have come when teams have defended in depth, invited us on and then broke with pace. When teams have come on to us or looked to press high like Spurs & Liverpool(even Chelsea away although we gave it away 2nd half) we've produced our best football.

If the fans can accept that kind of approach at home then i think there's a good chance of a classic Mourinho sucker punch win.

This will not be a pretty watch. I can see it rivalling that Moyes game v Arsenal, defending like we were some sort of lower league underdog.

Will take the same result though!

They played a skeleton team at OT last season and it still took a late Fellaini winner to get 3 points. I think we’ll see a hard fought loss and lots of comments like “if we play like that against Fulham we'll win”.

Looking at the table, if we lose this, it's 11 points to top 4. He surely would get the boot then?

Can't see us winning based of recent form, but it would be a typical false dawn performance from us. Scrappy 2-1 I reckon, with balls to the wall stuff in the last 10.

No way we come back from 11.

If we were going into this in decent form we could consider it a great opportunity to close the gap. As it is it feels more like an exercise in damage limitation!

We were closer to that Barca team then, than we are to this Arsenal team now. They are no world beaters, but we are really, really terrible.

That NLD was a cracking game and great atmosphere. Would just love us to play with that intensity on a regular basis. :(

I wouldn't be surprised if we do Arsenal on Wednesday as we usually do. But then again we could just as easily get hammered too.

I plan on getting hammered. It'll ease the pain.

Don't even know what i want anymore. Sacking Mourinho will change nothing if nothing changes at the top.

Arsenal to win easily, everyone loves coming to Old Trafford at the moment, its at least a guaranteed point.

Matic-RB, McTomminay-DMF, Herrera-CB, Pogba not even on the bench.
Jose loves to feck with everyone.

    Well with Shaw and Young out does that mean the defence will be;

    Dalot - McTominay - Jones - Matic - Darmian

First time in a long time I've been dreading a match.

Also how did somebody putting the wrong time by accident confuse so many people?

why not just play players in the natural positions - assuming Shaw is injured and Rojo is fit - didn't think Rashford looked too bad

    -------------------DDG------------------
    Dalot----Jones---Rojo------Young
    ------------------Herrera------------------
    -------------Fred-----Pogba------------
    ---Mata-------Rashford----Martial

    Dig up stupid!
Think this is the first time in recent memory I don't fancy us against arsenal, no matter how bad we've been post saf I always felt they were a team we'd beat.

But not now, we look so low I just cannot see a positive performance of any kind. We'll probably try to park the bus but we'll still concede eventually given the shambles at the back.

I really hope I'm wrong but the abject nature of our football of late is critical. I wish wenger was still in charge for them

There's nothing wrong with the top. All managers have been backed financially at United. I'm sure that if we got an Emery-type manager that had an immediate impact at the club and started playing decent football, the board would back him with whatever he wants.

First and foremost Mourinho has to go. Once we get the right manager in situ, things will start to fall into place. Mourinho's had 3 years now and we're regressing. The only thing I'm not with the board on is keeping him here too long. They just need to find the right person. Our squad on paper should be ripping it up in this league.

This will be the first time in 10 years we are going to get humiliated by Arsenal at home.

I have a feeling that if (more like when) we lose this one, if we then don't beat Fulham, Jose will be gone. The embarrassment might force the board to act

It's still Arsenal so I don't expect us to lose. However We might see another false dawn.

Mourinho always goes a level up against the bigger sides, especially at home.

I'm absolutely dreading a positive result for us to further this reign of terror.

I'll take a loss against Arsenal and a draw against Liverpool.

Watching the play today, they’re obviously a better footballing side than us, but I reckon they’ve got bigger bollocks as well. Sad to see an arsenal side more competitive than us
Competitive is exactly the right word.
It means that they actually compete which (and it really pains me to say this) for every ball trying to get there first.
Not something that Arsenal have done lately but unfortunately they look transformed.

Obviously primarily due to the manager and coaching.
He has a very simple requirement. Maximum commitment and performance or you are out.

He has made an example of that lazy git Ozil and the rest of the team has responded.

Mourinho only hope is to take a much tougher stance with our lazy git prima donnas who think they are gods gift and can give the ball away and undermind the manager with impunity.

The only players worth their place are those hungry for success and prepared to be first to every ball and run the opposition off the park.

We’re gonna lose this, Arsenal will press us like they did against Spurs and we won’t have a clue or the ability to react.

    3-1 to Arsenal.

Surely a loss at home to Arsenal would see him gone? I think we will shithouse a result here though.

    Would it matter?
Not only the players lost desire, also us! I don't know who to blame anymore.
Seeing a defense line of Matic and Mctomany and Jones! oh come on. If the board were ever going to sack him before the end of the season they should have done it months ago. The should have not been here since Seville loss. It would have been a statement too but unfortunately we are run by non-football men.
