I hope for a great match, I hope Rooney is back, and I hope its a beautiful day in OT.

Win this and we'll be the first team to beat Arsenal home and away in the league this season (unless Swansea beat them on Monday).

Reckon we'll draw this though. At least Rooney, Shaw and Smalling don't have serious injuries.

If liverpool don't beat Chelsea tomorrow then this match could be pretty pointless, I can't see us clawing back Arsenal for the 3rd place even if we beat them next week.

Only way to get 3rd is to hope City drop 6 points out of their remaining 3 games (and us to win both our games). Arsenal would have to drop 9 points for us to overtake them, which won't happen.

    Yup.

One positive is that we seem to play better against the bigger teams. Arsenal do have a very good away record though, and they do seem more defensively resilient than usual.

think this could be a bit more relaxed for us with 4th place confirmed....we've an outside chance of 3rd though so hopefully we can get torn into Arsenal

I'd like to see this team with Herrera sitting deeper

    ------------------------------DDG----------------------------
    Valencia----------Smalling--------Jones--------------Shaw
    -------------------------Herrera---Fellaini--------------------
    Di Maria-------------------Mata-----------------------Young
    --------------------------------Rooney----------------------

If they want to, Arsenal could take this United team apart - woeful today.

We were just shit and nervous.

We won't be at home to Arsenal with hopefully the pressure of top 4 off.
I sure hope so. If Chelsea win tomorrow, maybe the lads will be more relaxed, and maybe LVG can play Periera/ Wilson, who will have lots to prove. Lets face it, there is no way in hell that we will ever get 3rd, so we can give the youngsters some game time.

Periera is no where near ready - he's on the bench because of injuries.

If we don't get Rooney, Smalling and Shaw back then I'm worried.

If Chelsea beat Liverpool then there's nothing on this and just pride to play for. We won't finish in the top three.
LVG said Rooney just had a dead leg, Smalling - cramp and Luke Shaw feeling a bit dizzy but he's fine.

    De Gea
    Valencia--Jones--Smalling--Shaw
    Blind
    Herrera--Fellaini
    Mata--Rooney--Young

subs: Valdes, Evans, Rojo, Januzaj, Wilson, van Persie, Falcao

Give Adnan minutes off the bench. If van Persie hasn't recovered then put Rothwell on the bench.

I predict a United victory but that's just confidence in history. No idea what the fitness status will be. It worries me. The team that played the 2nd half against Crystal Palace won't win Arsenal unless Arsenal play like they did in the 1st game, incapable of scoring.

If Liverpool lose to Chelsea tomorrow it would be good to see us try something a bit different against Arsenal. With top 4 sealed we won't have anything to lose. It would be good if we could try someone different at DM, not that we have many options there but Blind is poor there and is not good enough to be our DM long term IMO. I would even like to see what Mcnair could do there.

Quite comfortable, we seem to be excellent against a team that doesn't park the bus.

3-1 United. (If Smalling, Shaw and Rooney are back)

Should be a great game. Always goals in this. Nothing to play for hopefully by next week so both teams should be going at each other.

This has always been my favourite fixture of the season especially under Ferguson.

The players should want revenge for the FA cup exit, and Van Gaal needs to win this because the season needs to be ended on a high.

Arsenal are playing some terrific stuff. This could be ugly.

You negative feckers. How have you not realized after the first run of tough games and this one that just passed, that we play so much better against big teams? Like, the run happened 4 games ago, it wasn't that long ago.

Anyways, slightly worried with all the injuries, as I have no idea who will be fit or not. Best case scenario is only Carrick injured sadly, but my guess for the lineup would be:

    De Gea
    Valencia Smalling Jones Shaw
    Blind
    Herrera Fellaini
    Mata Rooney Young

Personally I think I would rather Rooney/RvP in midfield and the other up top with Herrera holding then Blind holding... very big chance Blind will get overrun there. Don't think that will happen though.
