Quite like the team, minus Rojo.

Happy that Martial is given a rest and will be interesting to see how Rashford and Rooney can work together.

Memphis really, really needs to have a good game here.

That's a surprising amount of cjanges,. especially up top, I don't know how Rojo keeps starting.
Injuries! CBJ is getting his fitness back and we simply don't have any other options at LB.

At any rate if he's not up to Villa then....

Can't see many chances being created with that front 4. Martial needed a rest though.

Didn't expect so many changes, I thought they would come midweek. Very surprised to see Rooney back starting already, but I doubt he lasts the full game. I guess it's good that Martial is getting a rest, it's probably long overdue. Hopefully Memphis can actually show his quality today.

Valencia at right-back is the other surprise. I think he's quite suspect there, but in this game I don't mind too much. I knew he'd play Fellaini after the FA cup game.

I hope Wayne isn't just focused on scoring himself if Rashford is in a better position. Rashford, Martial and Lingard have been more a team.

5 changes, good line up. We should win this one comfortably.

Was hoping CBJ comes at LB but its okay as Darmian in the bench

We're playing sunday wednesday saturday wednesday saturday with the last being the biggest game of the season. Delighted to see some players rested and rotated. I would take a loss here for a win next weekend.

Thanks LVG, play my fantasy wildcard and he drops the two United players I brought in. As if I didnt hate this guy enough.
    :lol::lol::lol:
I had Martial triple captain and thought surely even LVG will rest him for at least 1 of the games so took him out for Welbeck. Hopefully Wenger doesn't pull the same stunt.

Yeah you're right but it's gradual game time, so I expect him to be subbed.....by Young:(

CBJ has played the last two U21 games, I would think he'd be ready for this type of game, or even play TFM out there, Rojo has been dreadful.

I am quite excited to see Rooney in behind Rashford though, it's the only place I can see Rooney playing in the future as he's too slow for the striker position.

    bench lads?
Romero, Darmian, Fosu-Mensah, McNair, Young, Lingard, Martial

CBJ has already played 90 minutes in 2(3?) U21 games.Even Darmian or Young would be better that Rojo's dire performances recently.Joke he keeps getting selected.

Good to see memphis And rooney starting... its an easy game so hopefully they get a confidence boost. More then needed rest for Martial. Would have hoped for CBJ to play but guess not.

Just saying...you know how LVG thinks! It's not like he says, "I'll go all out to attack." It's caution first with him which explains how dull we've been at home

This looks like an easy game, however even if we play them off the park, let's not go crazy, 1-0 or 2-0 is very likely from this MUFC team. Plus if this season is anything to go by, there is a strong chance we choke this game for a 0-0 or even lose after a late free-kick goal (Southampton)
I hear what you are saying, but Villa is one of the worst teams to ever play in the EPL.
Their confidence level is rock bottom. Last 6 games - all losses.
Given this, I predicted that we'd score 3 goals today.

Have no faith in that attack. Hopefully Rashford's pace will be enough.

I'm glad Martial is getting a little rest, he's played too much this season.

Rojo is shit and will inevitably get substituted at some point. Rather Darmian have played LB.

True but Rojo isn't a safe bet for solidity, he's positionally dodgy, I would have thought even Young would have been a better option.

Glad we'reresting Martial, would have liked to see Mata at #10 and Young on the right wing and Rooney at #9. I feel that Rashford needs a rest too. Massive opportunity for Memphis to do something good today, not holding my breath though.

LvG really going for slow, cumbersome and intensely frustrating here. This team might even struggle to create against Villa.

That was my first concern too! Thought Lingard was a shoe-in!
    Edit: Feck...just noticed Matial too!
Yep, all week my concern was which United players can I get lots of points off against shitty Villa and just like that it's gone.

He never rests Martial so I thought it was safe, especially as today is must win.
