A must win game. Not too confident as we’re on are last legs and Emery seems to have our number. I’m hoping the fact it’s at home will be enough to come away with a win.

I hope Villa have a v bad day at the office.

I hope Bruno somehow can get through another game (I feel for him, because we cannot rest him..). Same with Rashford. I hope Ericksen can find the net. These players need help.

We miss Garnacho... really do. I would get Pellestri in there too. Why not.. is he any worst than Antony, Martial or Sancho?

Looking forward to it as I will travel up to England for this Match

What was the name of the Pub near Old Trafford which you can only enter while owning a matchticket?
I was there in 2014 boxing day and the pre-match atmosphere in the pub was sensationall.

Bishops Blaize is probably the one you mean.

I genuinely feel we will lose this. Players are knackered and some have no reason being at United. Our heads are dropping. ETH is starting to feel the pressure too. Shocked when he said he would have accepted a draw against Spurs if we didn't race to that 2-0. We should be beating Spurs every single time.

    It's a home game.
    Bruno is playing.
Villa are on a good run, but I believe that we are so strong at home, we'll win.
If I were a betting man, I'd bet on a win.
    I can't see us losing.

    Our away form is abysmal.
A draw to Spurs, with new manager bounce was a good result.

This side just destroyed Newcastle 3-0. We got absolutely no shot in this. Emery always destroys us (well aside from the last time we played them and rolled them 4-2) Would snatch your hand off for a 1-2 loss. But I can't see it, they are gonna put at least 4 past us, Watkins will have Lindelof and Shaw on skates and our attack is just non existent, we rarely score more than 2 and when we do it's a moment of brilliance from Rashford or Bruno

We've conceded 8 goals at home. I think we'll beat them. We're a completely different animal.

That was in major part to Licha and Rapha and they won't be suiting up for this one. Instead it will be Lindelof and Shaw (or God forbid Maguire) who just capitulated to Spurs in the 2nd half last night. And then there is always a chance of a DDG howler Watkins and Ramsey are going to feast. This one could get real bad for us with how VIlla are flying, just absolutely rolled Newcastle who are a better team than us and a much better defense especially with Licha and Rapha out. Dreading this one.

4th Sunday 2pm game that's not on TV this season.

If BT can show games at the same time in midweek there's no reason why Sky shouldn't be able to on a Sunday.

A pity Villa are no longer managed by Gerrard.

Villa's last nine away results in the PL which goes to show the improvement they have made under Emery

    Brighton 2-1 win
    Tottenham 2-0 win
    Southampton 1-0 win
    Man City 3-1 defeat
    Everton 2-0 win
    West Ham 1-1
    Chelsea 2-0 win
    Leicester 2-1 win
    Brentford 1-1

If Man United are to win on Sunday it will likely be 1-0 or 2-1 score line and would have to battle really hard for that 3 points. A score draw would be a high possibility especially if United get zero impact off the bench again.

get the win and have pool/spurs draw. Would be the best weekend. Lose and things just tighten up that much more.

Its going to be scrappy, Ill take a win with a goal deflected in off weghorsts arse if it means the 3 points.

Maybe Garnacho will be back to inject some life

I'm annoyed with Emery, does he have some sort of Manchester United cheat book or what?

Not confident at all going into this game.

Big game and probably next to Brighton away toughest one left. Villa are in great form obviously so will really have to do really well in this one.

Think starting 11 is more or less easily predictable.

    De Gea
    AWB - Lindelof - Shaw - Dalot
    Casemiro - Eriksen
    Antony - Bruno - Sancho
    Rashford

if we can just make it thru this little stretch of games and then get back to the 1 game a week for the last little bit that should make a world of difference. Win this weekend, worst case draw against brighton and then we freshen up a bit for the end run.

Need to start the game with a high tempo and intensity. Don't let Villa get comfortable and settle into the match. And for f**k's sake, stop wasting gilt edged goalscoring chances when they come! I still can't get Bruno's miss last night out of my head!

True. Next 3 games vs Villa, Brighton and West Ham seem like most important ones. Do fairly well in those and then it’s comfortable situation.

I have a feeling you might rest Eriksen.

He's played probably far more than expected since his return given he was going to be on the bench v Forest and then came in last minute. Sabitzer was unused sub last night so that feels a logical change to freshen up a little.

I think a key battle in this is Casemiro v Buendia. Keep him quiet and Ollie Watkins will be starved of key chances as Buendia plays high risk throughballs so I'd fancy one to cut through your defence if you give him space.

Feels a 1-1 to me. We certainly should have advantage from 48 hours rest as you did look very leggy second half v Spurs and the three subs didn't help at all.

Think home vs away splits will be very telling... villa have been good since the new year but not exactly all that impressive performance wise in away games (not bad, but just looking at the xG throughout their games and they are pretty mid table level for them, and must better at home in general), while United have been dominant at home. It's a trend in the prem that home vs away has been a massive difference this season. So I don't think we drop points unless we have some shit injury luck or get a red in the game.

Also to add... We just had 4 away games in a row playing every 3 days. Not easy. Back at Old Trafford is a welcome relief (before another 2 away games).
