The two CL games, scored 2 at home to a mid rank team and 3 away to Bayern if scoring like that you should not be losing. Brentford players and management will be rubbing their hands in glee having watched United in action in the last couple of games, they'll know they'll be up against a team that are easy to score against, low on confidence and prone to gifting goals via silly errors.

No chance will United be keeping a clean on Saturday but need to make sure they don't repeat the Palace game by not scoring, two goals might be enough for United to win this game as it would have done so against Palace.

Just keep the score low. That’s all I ask for now. Not another 4-0 battering

Onana, Casemiro and Rashford need to sit on bench.

We need to make that area infront of our centerbacks close. It is so open.

I'd go with something like this:
    Onana
    Dalot Varane Lindelof Amrabat
    Casemiro Eriksen
    Antony Mount Garnacho
    Hojlund

I’ve been a United supporter since I was 6 years old (33 today). This is going to be my first time at Old Trafford to watch us play - coming all the way from Ghana.

Can we please not lose? Thanks
Nice one mate, hope it's an amazing day for you :D

Worked out that the last six games I have missed when the stadium has been open, we have won them all, scoring a good few goals. Not there this weekend, so feeling confident for you!

    07/01/20 1-3 City LC
    11/01/20 4-0 Norwich
    15/01/20 1-0 Wolves FAC
    14/08/21 5-1 Leeds
    11/09/21 4-1 Newcastle
    10/01/22 1-0 Villa FAC

Onana needs to be dropped. He looks like a kid who’s stayed in the school for too long. His movement is off and don’t look confident. Also he’s technique is strange. Always going with two hands for the ball and going down too early. Sort it out, mate!

Altay deserves a change right now! I know people say he is not very good. I say he can’t be worse than what we have seen from Onana. Also from the videos he is much better shot stopper and coming out from the goal on 1 on 1s. He might do well in United shirt.

Ten Hag needs to look in the mirror as well. He needs to stop playing players out of position. I understand he wants all the “best” players on pitch, but it doesn’t work this way. It’s not a video game.
We still need to tweak little bit, as we don’t have all the fullbacks fit.

I’m starting to doubt in Bruno as a captain. He looks like is sulking most of the time. He needs to lift the team, not get all emotional if things don’t work out.

We need to sort defence out as soon as possible and go back to basics.

    ——————Altay
    Lindelof-Varane-Evans-Dalot
    ——Casemiro——Amrabat
    —-AntonyMountGarnacho
    ——————-Hojlund

    ——————Altay
    Lindelof-Varane-Evans-Dalot
    ———-—Amrabat
    Casemiro——Garnacho
    ——————Mount
    ———-Hojlund—-Martial

If Antony not ready to start then Pellistri or Rashford? on the right. Garnacho deserves to start.

If he keeps playing Amrabat as a LB questions need to be asked. If he loses this game playing players out of position, Ten Hag makes his own chair very hot.

I like Ten Hag and I believe he will turn this around, but he needs to get a grip right now!

Going by past season we are due that big win where everyone is fooled into thinking the previous bad results were just down to bad luck. 3-0 win would be my bet.

Brentford is typically well organized and pretty efficient on the counter. That’s a bad combination for our side.

Any win would be good. Hopefully we can field an actual left back and put Amrabat in midfield.

Anything else is being overly loyal to underperformers, overthinking things, trying to be too clever, not playing those who deserve it, etc.
This may ultimately be Erik's downfall. He's clearly capable of making tough decisions, but is seemingly blinkered when it comes to some of our so-called 'top performers'.

Rashford is my main concern here, closely followed by Bruno and Casemiro who seemingly has lost all ability or inclination to track his runner.

Garnacho has shown enough for me in recent weeks to warrant his place and similarly you could argue Eriksen and to a lesser degree Mount on Tuesday.

Would actually like to see Eriksen and Amrabat in the pivot. Silk and stealth.

    Rashford, Bruno and Onana out

    He has to.

At this trajectory he is out. He has to go for something new.
Rashford - I don't like him being out of form but he is one of our most potent attackers and needs to be played back into form.
Bruno - he is the captain and rightfully so. He works hard and I honestly can't see anybody better in our squad than him. He must play.
Onana - if he gets dropped, his confidence will be zapped and in all likelihood, he will be finished at the club. The moment a GK gets dropped due to poor performances, usually, that's his final season at the club. For this reason, we need to keep playing him until it is 100% clear that he is not cut out for MUFC.

Football isn't that complicated but ten hag is trying to be way too clever. Let's go a bit simpler. Conceding too many goals? How about you try to solidify it with a more defensive set up? Rocket science, I know. How about let's drop the players who are playing like shit too. Let's play players closer to their actual positions too.

    Hojlund
    Garnacho Mount Antony
    Amrabat casemiro
    Dalot Maguire Varane Lindelof
    Altay
Anything else is being overly loyal to underperformers, overthinking things, trying to be too clever, not playing those who deserve it, etc.
But humans arent simple. Dropping Rashford and Bruno would lead to another problem namely unhappy star players.

Genuinely think we will lose Saturday. Stuck £5 on Brentford so at least I some money if they do.
This might be a good strategy going forward.
MUFC lose - at least you won some money.
MUFC win - great, they won!

What has Maguire all of a sudden done to warrant a place more than Evans? (motm performance last time he played)

    What I want to see:
    Bayindir
    Lindelof-Varane-Maguire-Dalot
    Casemiro-Amrabat
    Eriksen
    Antony-Hojlund-Rashford/Martial
Perhaps a bit harsh on Mount, I just want us to keep the ball. Eriksen and Amrabat hold it a lot better. Rashford I thought played well against Gala.

    What we will see:

    Onana
    Dalot-Varane-Lindelof-Amrabat
    Casemiro
    Bruno Mount
    Antony- Hojlund- Rashford

Isn't that part of the problem? Didn't Rooney get dropped before and it lit a fire under him. I can't imagine that if Vidic, Rio, Evra, Carrick, Scholes... any of our past leaders/captains had they been dropped throwing a tantrum - they'd be furious and show it on the pitch the next game.

I wish they had that understanding. But if they had them they wont be at this position in the first place.

Look at Sancho. What started as a harmless comment can make him hurt and spiteful. Even after all the time ETH afforded him.

    Humans can be fickle sometimes

Sure but most players won't react like Sancho, and that's an easy way to weed out the bad ones.

Onana will play that's a given to drop him makes unwanted headlines. I think maybe Maguire in for Lindelof.. Amarabat is a left back again my guess there lays issues he's not one.. the winner on Tuesday was him not moving up with the rest for Offside.. its not his fault, Rashford I'd give another start Antony will play as long as he trains OK.. th
The game is a must win as is most from now until end Of Nov..

I wonder if Case might be rested and Amrabat moved to no6 with a view to preparing for Copenhagen. Case can always come in after 60mins. Saying that, we could go the other way and sub Case off after 60 and give Amrabat 30 mins as lone 6.

My other wishes for this game are Hannibal as one of the high 8s and Rashford at RW, see if he can grow into that position.

People saying drop Onana just don’t live in reality. We don’t have a good No2 for one but think of the message it sends.

We want to play out from the back. 1st passing clanger (not even in the PL). Dropped.
