Are you saying that the quality of football on offer right now is on par with Fergie? Is it April 1st? Of course he had games that had to be ground out. Every manager does. But what he did have was a set of bollocks. A will to attack the opposition. To force them to try and contain us, not vice versa.
Yes we've put a few past some of the poorer teams in the league and yes we've played well at times. But how's that working out when the opposition/atmosphere becomes more difficult? There's been no 4 nil wins then.
Fergie was just as pragmatic as pragmatic as Mourinho. Baffling how posters like you refuse to acknowledge the countless times Fergie set his sides up to nullify the opposition first. How many times did we select the likes of O’Shea for added height (where have we see that before) or Park for work rate when attacking options were available? Or played incredibly deep and narrow against Arsenal? Let’s pretend these didn’t happen should we? Was there always a rainbow in your memories of matches in the Fergie era too?
We are currently moving at a rate that would see us finish with 80+ goals and 85+ points, enough to win the league in plenty of Fergies season, that’s not even taking into consideration the unprecedented level of competition we have this year. You should try perspective sometime, helps to sift through all the bullshit.
