Now you're missing the point. Keep hating
Me? hate on lukaku? You've got the wrong one buddy. I don't think lukaku is a terrible player but he just doesn't fit this team and the way we want to play. We aren't a route 1 team. If that is so hard for you to understand then goodluck.

Rashford should have given us the lead in the first half and it would have been a different story.
Yelp. Felt the same way. I think Rashford also had his head stuck on that to an extent.
    I was almost right.
My gut felt the run was over. Everyone was glossing over Burnley but also the team looked tired and without venom.

Okay, the rotation didn't work tonight. We lost the momentum. I really liked the finishing 11 against Arsenal last week. Bailly and Lindelof are much more solid. I have no idea where Jones was for Burnley's second. Jesse makes a huge difference with the space he creates from his constant movement. I think Lukaku cancelled out Marcus and apart from the link up in the first half it didn't really work. It was a Mourinho performance tonight. The Herrera, Matic and Pogba midfiel
Wasn’t jones fault at all. It’s strange because the replay clearly showed lindelof and Young closest to the attacker on the far post. Lindelof was behind the same guy jones was and unless the burnley attacker is the flash Lindelof should have been marking him.

Mata as anything besides false nine or 10 is strange.

Knew that team was asking for trouble. Solskjaer may take responsibility for a bizarre team selection that dropped us 2 massive points.
Agreed. Also Rashford cost us dearly to be honest.

People are way too negative. If you win that many games in a row, in the PL, you're going to have a game like this sooner rather than later. That little bit of luck lacking, the opponent taking their spare chances. Etc. This was that game. The draw was a win because the game wasn't lost, it was achieved by willpower, in Solskjær time. It was a great run of wins, and a great end. An end that says: this was just a shit game, but we'll be there next time as usual.

Did he look like a route one team player with his two very good assists against Arsenal? I guess they were basic too huh? Lukaku himself has alluded to never being the target man type striker Mourinho wanted him to be

When I make my points I don't nitpick. He has been very direct this season on average.

Lingard to miss game as he's been injured in training?

I don't think this would be his kind of game, don't think there would be too many spaces at the back for him to make runs into. Mata would be a possible, but I personally would bring Fred in for him, play Pogba as the tip of a diamond, and get both full backs playing as wingers, that would give us width and depth in my opinion. If we were say 3-0 up half way through second half, bring Pereira on for Pogba, to see what he can do in that position, we will need to see if he is up to the job of replacing Pogba, just in case.
If Herrera needed a break, would have replaced him with Fred, but I can understand why Ole made the changes, unfortunately didn't work this time, but like I said in an earlier post, Ole needs to see ALL the squad in action for him to make a judgement on picking them this season, and whether they would be part of his squad next season. I would like to see Pereira at the tip of a diamond, where I would play Pogba most games, but Ole obviously favours a 4-3-3 system, just thinking that occasionally we may need to try a different system when things are not going well.
