    Football, bloody hell.
Somehow we keep winning enough to stay near the top positions despite playing like a juicy steaming turd. We still don't look like a team and just a bunch of players thrown together, luckily we have just about enough individual quality to keep squeezing through. We are so imbalanced with this LOL-1-5 formation, somehow it's almost worse than 3-5-2. Need to stop playing both van Persie and Falcao though, I'm certain of that now.

Either LVG is not observant or the United players are sheep in the wolf skin.
He claimed that the players were selected based on training performances.
Looked like some of them perform better in training then in games.
Januzaj and Evans (how many more chances should he be given) are terrible.
Rooney is definitely played out of position tonight and should not be the holding midfielder.
Tactically, Feliani should be playing and can be holding midfield.

Only managed to catch the second half, but it seems like Smalling really saved our butts from another embarrassing result.

Di Maria looked decent in the second half, seems like he's finally managing to get to grips with the Premier League style of play. Was inventive as well as industrious.
He has a temper too, I notice, took serious revenge that led to him being carded. Yes, I gave him MOTM.

Evans shouldn't see the pitch in a premier Manchester United 11. He has lost a step and his passing isn't good enough.

Hopefully we will b play a 442 from now on.

That was the only other score I was watching :D Although I did notice that Chelsea scored on 89 mins !!
I kind of liked that Chelsea scored. The way we are playing and way they are playing, them dropping points AND we gaining 10 points on them will need miracle. I will rather them stay ahead of City and hope we get as close to City as possible before derby and then push for 2nd with derby win

oh, I missed the memo. We went from 3-5-2 to 4-4-2 diamond is the best and now it's the 4-3-3 and the 4-2-3-1?
I've been saying that from the beginning not just now. Build on what we already had instead of changing everything. The players looked more comfortable as they grew into the second half

    No longer on the caf.
But today the problem was 90% of the game he had nobody to pass to even so he had no choice. The last bit at the end before the whistle to me was intelligent time wasting
Yeah the last bit was smart. But there was another part in the game he just had that look of Obertan. He's clearly the better of the two though.

We just seem to lack confidence when we start games? Why is that? They need a good 90 minute performance but honestly, just play Herrera for a start. That's all I want right now.

Can we now please admit that LVG has a point with moving rooney backward. The minute anything goes wrong, especially with evans, rooney is the only player getting back in time to make things difficult for the attackers. He saved our arses X number of times when evans fecked up, and its BLATANTLY obvious that LVG has ZERO confidence in any defensive pairing.

I don't personally like it but i can see why its happening, especially when blind goes off and evans decides gifting opportunities is a good idea.

The minute anything goes wrong it's usually because Rooney has given it away because his passing is awful or because he's out of position.

He's not a midfielder, never will be and it's too our detriment that he's playing there and not up front.

So when rooney is up front, who is getting back to help? except for blind, rooney seems to be the only one to realise our defence is capable of making catastrophic errors at any minute.

Well that's something that the players and coaching staff need to look at but to justify it as a reason to suggest that Rooney should be playing in midfield is absolutely mind boggling.

The coaching staff did look into it and they are using rooney. Just look at when blind went off, fellaini could have gone there but nope, rooney is told to fall back and Herrera went into the attacking CM role. It's a tactic the staff and players are training for.

Just watched the highlights on MOTD after coming back from OT and I have to say that the highlights did us a big favour. I can't remember the last time I saw a team so unexpectedly dominant against us at home.

If anything, I think it's back to the drawing board with the diamond formation. Watching it from the stands you can see that he has Falcao and RVP stood inbetween the opposing centre back and full back on either side of the pitch, with Januzaj (tonight anyway) inbetween them. This effectively doesn't stop the opponents distributing the ball to anyone, and the amount of times it was just a simple 10 yard pass to the full back to cut out our attacker was embarrassing. It's not a coincidence that nearly every Burnley chance tonight came down the wings.

Sorry for all the doom and gloom but at least it's nice to know that after watching that performance from Jonny Evans, there is still a chance for us all to get the call from Woodie

He's covering Rojo who was playing further infield.
Nope, didn't happen he was covering someone at the edge of the box. Anyone who blames him for that goal is sick in the head(you should look at the threadmark for that goal he got more stick than smalling).

Did someone feel Januzaj made some good runs and was somehow adamant not to cross from the wide.. And also he is overdoing stuff by thinking he could take a ball through 2-3 sometimes 4 defenders instead of passing to another player...

Shocking midfield display. We looked much better when Herrera was introduced. Evans was absolutely clueless, just lets the ball bounce when under pressure from the opposition and then puts the team in a bad situation causing us to hoof the ball upfield back to a Burnley player. 2 striker system is not working or atliest the 2 strikers we are selecting. Januzaj, Smalling, Rojo, Mcnair were the only positives from this game and thats at a push.

Live is better. I can never hide from the score.
Fair enough! Whenever I'm unable to catch a match live, I watch it online the moment I'm at my computer. It is very hard to avoid going on the caf until it's finished though :nervous:
