Mata, Herrera, and Bailly, plus the return of Darmian last week. All we need is Valencia coming back into this team and we can call this period, the “return of the forgotten ones.” Herrera and Bailly are talented and Mata likes playing against Chelsea. However, too much tinkering might affect team cohesion.

    He's fecking wank though?

Lukaku at least scores fecking goals which is a start for a striker.
Unless you've been watching a different United recently, Lukaku's been pretty shite. If anything, at least Sanchez would create more chances and he's better at covering both ends of the pitch. He's certainly no worse than Lukaku at the moment. I would have no problem starting him up front.

Martial will be sold in the summer, surely?
Why? Coming back from two injuries. No confidence. So clear the favourites are Rash and Lingard. Disheartening to say the least when he's far more clinical than those two in front of goal.
Needs a kick up the backside for sure, but will get a further season, so he best make the most of it.

I don't want to see Martial starting again, his performance against Everton was an absolute disgrace.
As opposed to Lukaku and Rashford ?

None of our attackers have played well for some time now, singling out individuals as the problem is absurd

I wonder what Martial has to do to be played in a central role. Partly because he clearly can't play wing, so shouldn't be asked to any more.
It doesn’t matter where he plays, it’s the attitude he has towards the game. He’s been the same for France. He barely tracks back, never defends with any enthusiasm and looks for others to do the donkey work.
Look at Liverpool and City’s forwards! Salah will chase back and throw himself into a tackle, Aguero has developed his game likewise to include closing down defenders.
Martial has undoubted talent but his style suits a side willing to work for him

Don't know what players you've been watching but one has 15 goals this season and the other has a 2. That's my point. I'm well aware of Lukaku's limitations. My point is that Sanchez is even worse.

Well, we keep losing all the games though so the line-ups are not great.
We've won games with the same lineup's we've lost games with. We've changed the team from the team that got beaten against Man City, so I'm not sure what your point is? Unless you're suggesting that a different team selection will help Lukaku and Rashford hit a barn door from 2 cm away?

Yes, a few too many in the squad like that, one feels.

I can only guess that Bailly is either included due to either a) stating he wants to stay and is being rewarded b) we want to sell him and are putting him in the shop window like we did with Nick Powell etc.

Seems damn risky as he usually makes one calamitous mistake per game. I did really like him, but he would need a pre-season at least to be rehabilitated.

Or perhaps he needs to give him one last chance before he makes up his mind whether to sell him or not.

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"
Based on who's available, can have no complaints about that team.
    Really?

think about Matics performances over last few months... odd one or two half decent one. Think of McTominays (in big games too)... lots of good performances.

I've never been a huge McTominay fan, but he's proving me wrong and should be playing. Also Matic kills our attacks, gets caught in possession and doesn't cover runners.

    Solskjaer explains selection
    He told MUTV:

“I think they (Bailly and Herrera) have trained really well. We have had to wait for them, obviously, they have had some bad injuries. With the knocks we got on Wednesday night, we had to make the changes. They probably would have played anyway. With Ander’s energy and enthusiasm, of course we have missed.”

    When was that?
He has said multiple times in interviews that it is going to take a few years and he can't overhaul the team overnight. That to add on to when he said only 2-3 will be coming in, and 6 or more is impossible.

Is McTom coming back from injury? I reckon he'll come on.

It's not like our fullbacks will be getting forward. The plan seems to begin and end with Young hoofings into the channel for rashford to chase down.

Well 4,5 will be a start. Don't take everything he says by heart.

These fecks disappointed us back in 2015-16 season at West Ham. I don't trust them not to repeat the same mistake this time.

Well Sanchez has hardly played has he? The times that he's come on recently he's looked sharp. It's about current form isn't it. I would say the same about Lingard, Martial and Rashford. None of them deserve a starting place right now but they are all we have. So, in that respect we have nothing to lose by starting Sanchez. It's not as if he'd be replacing a player on a crazy goal streak.

I think we should go all out attack. Sitting back never helps. Just 3 games left for the season so they can go all out.
