We’ve scored 14 goals in our last 5 games, so our attack is finally beginning to find their feet, but we’ve also conceded 9 goals in that period, which includes a cup tie vs a championship team and 9 men Tottenham.

I feel pretty confident of getting a win tonight but I have to keep reminding myself that we’re 10th for a reason.

Hoping for comfortable win and everything will be sunshine and rainbow, but that would be too far fetched isn't it?

Chelsea will show up to this, we won't as shown all season, we only beat relegation fodder.

team id like to see IN A 4-4-1-1 FORMATION

    ONANA

    AWB VARANE SHAW REGUILON

    PELLESTRI MAINOO AMRABAT GARNACHO

    BRUNO
    HOJLUND

Its harsh on Maguire as he has been performing well but we need to freshen things up.
I dont expect ETH to change the newcastle line up though, other than Hojlund for Martial
why would you drop our best player in the last game , just to freshen things up, does not make any sense !

I think we will win this one 2-1. We have a pattern going beating the lower teams than us this season. Chelsea are as erratic as us, so hoping Hojlund finally breaks his duck.

If they turn up we’re screwed. I’ve been given no reason this season to be confident at all. The only hope I have is them being very up and down.

2 huge home games while teams around us have some tricky games or face one another. Make or break for the trajectory of season I fear,

6 points would be brilliant. Ive thought for much of the season that if we can reach halfway still in touch, then we can have a stronger second half with returning players and consistent team. I do fear more dropped points before anfield could be a bridge too far

Start Rashford. If he is still not running, sub him before halftime

We'll beat Chelsea. Because football heritage says only good Man United teams lose to Chelsea.

    We will lose.

    United can't handle anything.

Kick off too late? They struggle. Kick off too early? They struggle. Travel plans disrupted? They struggle. Fans too loud? They struggle. Too much criticism in the papers? They struggle. Too much praise and pressure? They struggle.

    God I fecking hate them

Can't wait for the match, guys. I love this team.

Thank you for this beautiful disaster, Joel Glazer @Joel - Man utd

I’m pretty convinced we’re going to lose. One thing we’ve avoided in this whole banter era is losing at home to Chelsea. Tonight has all the makings of it.

I'm sure they are running if that's what they're being asked in training. The point is you're not usually supposed to be doing hard running so often when you play as many games as us. Rest is key. And usually tactical work too but we don't do that.
Exactly. If they are being run into the ground in training its no surprise they dont run in matches, especially given the schedule and injurires
and yet… Newcastle ran circles around us.

Yea if Rashford starts and Varane sits on the bench it just shows me that ETH is giving in to the players to keep his job, we need players who will work and are the future, may not all be in form but if I could pick a team that I'd like us to work with going forward rather than short sightedly win a match, I'd go with:

    Onana
    Dalot Varane Maguire Shaw
    Mainoo Amrabat
    Antony Bruno Garnacho
    Hojlund

Amazing, didn't realise it was on prime - two broadly underperforming teams with distinctly different styles of play. Manager's jobs on the line. attackers who can't score. 0-0 written all over it.

Aye, our first draw of the season. I'll go for 2-2 though with how leaky we can be.

Tough one this, the PL hasn't had a 0-0 this season so far (If I read it correctly), so that means this game is a prime candidate to break that.

However, Chelsea hasn't won at OT in 10 seasons and we love to break those kind of streaks and records under ETH, so could also see a 1-0 to Chelsea.

I would quite fancy us if we had any goal threat but all we have is the ball through to Garnacho or Bruno pot shots. Maybe tonight Hojlund will come alive in the league.

should be interesting as i could see this game literally going any way. Drab draw, huge united win, huge chelsea win, late winner for someone-any of those seem like something that would be reasonable.

    why start him?

Are they not told before every game that to outwork the opponent is a pre requisite!!

fecker hasnt ran in months he isnt going to change in one half of football.

The only way a manager can punish players is by benching them - otherwise whats the point!

If any one of McTominay, Martial or Rashford starts today, we will likely play very badly. If, however, ETH finds his cojones and bins those, then it will be an entirely different level of effort and dynamics.

Rashford and Martial should not even be on the bench.
I would play Pellistri and Hugill if needed.
He may also play McTominay as a striker - it’s the only position where his inability to pass is not very relevant

Tonight, two things will happen for the 1st time. Antony will cross the ball and Hojlund will score in the league. Then it will be disallowed.
nah it will be allowed but we will then allow a goal from chelsea within a couple minutes, then play like crap for a while before just imploding after a second yellow sees us down to 10 men and we give them several goals from there.
