With 7 games in about 3 weeks we need to rotate a bit. Our squad is thin so i fear we will witness Pereira and Lingard again. Let`s hope Mctominay is ready for a start in midfield so we don`t need Pereira there at least. And i would love to see Chong and Gomes as options up front.

We definitely will and I think Ole was rightly being opportunistic in dropping them at the weekend. They have needed a kick up the arse for a while so the moment we have enough players he’s delivered that message and naturally they are going to be required again soon enough so it’s down to them to prove they’ve got the message and have attempted to up their game.

Just start the best side. No bloody underestimating them. Same team that played Watford. Rest players in league and maybe Fa up if we should.
Our players should be fresh after the winterbreak.

I would perhaps rest Matic because after I saw Everton against the arse I really think Richarlison and Calvert-Lewis will give the back 4 a right headache so I think we’ll need his defence minded mentality.

I would like to rest Maguire but the thought of Bailly and Lindelöf at the back together seems like madness so he’ll have to keep going, the obvious Romero for Dave And perhaps give Igahlo his first start over Greenwood or James.

I think that we'll see Mata and Bailly in the starting XI for Greenwood and Lingard and maybe James will start on the bench (plus of course Romero). Martial is scoring regularly and I can't see him not starting.

I doubt we'll rest players in the league. We need a one goal win or even a 0-0 so I could see some rotation going on with the likes of Lingard and Pereira coming in. Thank God McTominay is close if not ready to start, Matic and Fred will need rests and I dislike having to rely on Pereira in centre mid.

We can still start a similar team. Romero, Williams, Dalot, Ighalo could all come in.

We cannot have Lingard and Perreira in the same 11. It should not happen.

I will bet any of you posters that both Lingard and Pereira are not going to start this game. Ole has eyes and he's seen them being very poor in the first leg. This is a knockout game and we will go with a strong side. Time for rotation will be against Bristol and Lingard can start that game.

Possibly. I didn't have Lingard and Pereira starting together in mind by the way, that's too much for me to handle even in a hypothetical scenario.

Something tells me Ighalo will not be starting this, though I think he deserves a chance.

If we don't score early I think we could go out.
I think Ole will go 3 at the back and counter attack as Brugge need to score to progress which will leave space to exploit.

Do Brugge have any important players to come back?I think the only way they win is if United get complacent which shouldn't happen.

I would start strong and then take key players off hopefully once we’re a few goals up with one eye on the Everton game. If we rotate too much it’ll go the same way as the first game, the drop in quality from our first eleven and the squad players is just too much.

Definitely this. Start strong, get it done and then just play keep ball, slow the game down and get key players off with substitutions.

That is the best way to conserve energy and secure the result.

We need to stay in this tournament and keep all avenues to the CL open. Not to mention what a boost a trophy would be.

We also need to focus on Everton, this is a game that can get physical (they scored with 2 set pieces against Arsenal). We will need to be strong against them. Which means that for this game, we need to rest a couple of players. But we have 3 days of rest for this game, while only 2 days after that game against Everton. Not sure how we will handle this.

I doubt ole will start gomes over lingard for whatever nonsensical reason.

Ideally it will be safe to play mctominay instead of periera but it might be too much so soon after being out injured for a while.

We need to wrap martial in cotton wool and not make the same mistake we did with rashford of running him into the ground, ighalo hasnt looked too bad with sharpness when he's come on as a sub.

Bailly and Mct should be used in this game to give us ariel power defending set pieces.

    Romero
    Dalot
    Bailly
    Maguire
    Williams
    McTominey
    Matic
    Bruno
    Lingard
    Martial
    Ighalo

Need to get ahead and create chances early on. Get Ighalo a goal and use likes of Matic and Maguire set pieces and to make sure we don’t concede silly goals.

As soon as game is won, get Mata, James and Fred on for McTominey, Bruno and Martial.

Slow the game down and keep possession. Some of the above teams are asking for trouble against a team that has gone toe to toe with Madrid this season.

No one will like this, but:

    Romero
    Dalot - Bailly - Maguire - Williams
    Pereira - McTominay
    Chong - Mata - Lingard
    Ighalo

Subs: Fred - Fernandes - Greenwood

Mata/Ighalo is a bit of an intriguing possibility to me. I don't think we need the pace here that we do in the league, Mata has the accuracy and just enough creativity, and Ighalo seems to get himself into good positions.

Williams and Shaw are nearly interchangeable at this point, as are Bailly and Lindelof (in theory), and these are good things. We're gonna see the Peiera-Lingard show, regardless of what anyone wants. Need for goals will determine when the midfield subs come on.

Holy damn what a shite team.
What else is really available, players like Maguire, Fernandes, greenwood, James, matic, Bissaka and martial shouldnt be risked with a really tough away fixture on Sunday with a team also fighting for a champions league spot.

We already are going through on away goals so going 3 at the back is not that bad, hopefully we can keep it goalless for the first 45 minutes before sending on a few of out real difference makers.

lingard can get lost and should never start a match for United ever again, periera at the very least has a few redeemable qualities of chipping in with the odd assist and goal now and then, I find it hard to justify dalot starting a game at this point as well, he's been dreadful whenever he's played this season.

No way we will start Ighalo. Tie is in the balance. He will be used sparingly throughout the season.

If he can’t start at home in the Europa League, there was no real point in bringing him in though, wouldn’t you say?

Maybe! But look at how shaky we still are against corners. We need to figure it out faster and better. I think we have the attacking threat to score more than them, but I want the clean sheet. It's important.

Full strength team to start. Get the job done and sub off as needed second half - that technically gives your best players the most time to recover for the next game.

    Ddg
    AWB Bailey Maguire Shaw
    Scott Fred
    Greenwood Bruno James
    Martial

Don’t feck with a team that is clicking. Martial has been adequately rested in the past two games with his sub offs. He knows job done= sub off so a lil bit more motivation for him.

The point is to throw him on when Martial is having a shocker or is tired. Actually, the point is that if Martial gets injured we have another centre forward. He shouldn’t be starting important knockout games. Fair enough if we’d have won the first leg.

Let's get a couple goals up and then take off the Everton starters such as Bruno, Martial, and Fred:

    De gea
    AWB Bailly Maguire Shaw
    McT Fred
    Bruno
    Greenwood Martial James

I think we should get him fit and have him as a viable option. There are too many potential games to start Martial in all of them.

Yeah but i don't think he's 90-minute match fit so can't start him. Maybe take martial off at the 60th or earlier if we're up a couple goals.

Here's hoping for early goals so we can see the game out in second or lower gear, rest a few and avoid injuries. Everton Sunday is a massive game and one we have a very good chance in. They played so open and expansive against Arsenal away. Should be even more so at Goodison, which is just how we like it. Sorry Brugges, you ain't bursting this United bubble...

    I'm feeling:
    3-0 HT
    4-0 FT

Should be able to make relatively easy work of this. Brugge are no mugs domestically, but there's still a big gulf in class and we should be able to put this to bed at Old Trafford.

I think we will see a similar team that started the first leg. Wasnt that impressed with Brugge, and I think Ole will gamble again knowing that a strong bench can get the job done if we need them to.

I disagree, at Old Trafford that poor team that drew against them down there should be enough. At least if you get McTominay instead of Pereira.

Our next 4 PL games are such a challenge that we need the best ones match fit.

2 home games in a row followed by a very local trip to Everton. Tiredness shouldn't really be an issue right now.

We will make a few changes with Williams/Mctominay/Lingard coming into the team I suspect.
