Go strong and win. Wait until Derby next week to give a rest to the few who may need it.

Also, can we get the same ref as last week? He give us everything :D

Whatever the result, whatever the performance it will be a physically and mentally draining night for the lads that will play both matches, meanwhile the Everton players will have their feet up ready for the weekend and they will come flying out of the blocks as they always do. We probably couldn't have picked a harder match to follow a European match which can still go either way.

Sounds so simple going for the kill, what happens if whilst chasing early goals they hit us on the break and we find ourselves behind, then we'd be in serious trouble, and I doubt we'd be able to turn it around if that happens.

They will have plenty of backing, and they won't shut up all night, on a plus note it might get our fans at it as well, and i'm sure the players will appreciate it when they are flagging from the hour mark.
Everton away is never easy, especially in the good form they have right now. It'll be a big test of our character especially after last season where they absolutely pasted us.

He was. He's the engine of the team, big loss for Brugge. We couldn't play them on a better moment. Two key players out, strikers have been awful since new year, and they are struggling for goals. Defence will probably be on point, I think they only conceded like 18 goals this season.
Dennis is a lot better than Diatta - so losing him and Vormer is a huge loss for them

I'd go "nearly" full strength. I'd be inclined to rest 2-3, not 5-6. We should beat them at home. Simply address their longball running in behind, and beat them.

    Romero
    Dalot Bailly Maguire Williams
    McTomminay Matic
    James Mata Greenwood
    Martial

    1-0 Martial

Dennis is their only decent player. Like a turbo Ayew on song.
They have others. Van Aken is good enough to play for mid-table teams in England imo, 2 times best player in Belgium and always member of the Belgian National Team. He doesn't get to play a lot for the NT, but we have Witsel, De Bruyne, Tielemans and others of course. Deli and Mata have been excellent this season. Mignolet, for all his errors in England, has been a rock in goal.

Good job we’ve got Timothy. He’s like a new signing for us while we are short at RB/CB/DM/CM/AM/RW/Assistant Manager.

Just going 4 at the back should solve the issues we had with their long ball. It was hit towards Maguire nearly every time and neither Shaw or Lindelof covered around the back, leaving Harry as the deepest defender at all times while they were quite wide.

Having someone partner Maguire should see both defenders covering for each other with little confusion on positioning.

Don't they have a good player coming back for this game? Dennis caused us a lot of problems at time so he'll be a big loss and judging by the first leg I can't see them causing too much trouble for us. If they had scored the second goal at the end it could have been much trickier but we finished both halves the better team and I think we'll have too much for them at OT.

Brugges is important as for me Europa League is the most important competition for us and the only way we can reach CL next season. But there are tough teams still, so we need to win.

BUT, we play Everton on Sunday and we know that it will be a tough tough game, so I would change a few players tomorrow.

    Romero

    Dalot
    Maguire
    Bailly
    Shaw

    Fred
    Mc Tominay

    Mata
    Bruno
    James

    Martial

    Romero
    Dalot--Bailly--Maguire--Williams
    McTominay--Fred
    Mata--Pereira--Chong
    Ighalo

Subs: De Gea; AWB, Lindelof; Matic, Bruno; Martial, Greenwood

I wouldn't have rotated like this but they're missing Dennis!
    Very risky but f it!
That side would be lucky to finish mid table in the Championship from what I have seen, Ole will have to go a lot stronger than that if he wants to progress to the next round.

start strong-ish and make a change or two when we are ahead

    --------------------------Romero--------------------------
    Dalot------Bailly---------Maguire-------Williams
    ------------------Fred----McTominay----------------
    Greenwood-------Bruno-----------------Martial
    ------------------------Ighalo----------------------------

Get 2 or 3 up then ring the changes

Only 3 players have played all games recently, and I can see those 3 being rested: Martial, Maguire and Matic.

    So that makes:

-------------Romero (I wish De Gea, though)

Bissaka - Lindeløf - Bailly - Shaw (I thought Williams would play, but Shaw was in the presser)

    -------- McTominay - Fred

    Greenwoord - Fernandes - James

    ------------- Ighalo

Brugge have key players out, so that should be more than enough to see us through.

I reckon you're right. May want to leave Matic in and take Fred out. Let's squeeze the rest of Matic-juice before he's off in the summer.

Did they suddenly remove the possibility of qualifying by getting 4th in Premier League?

I would say it is of almost equal difficulty to get CL through EL as PL.

If City lose the appeal 5th would qualify. Very doable. Ignore the EL. Rest players for the PL.

I think this will be close to the starting line up. I think that Mata will play in place of James on the right and Bruno will play down the middle (in Mata's place in your line up).

Yeah, unless the appeal itself take too long, and the ruling wont be until CL has started again. Which is a distinct possibility.

Then it will be next seasons 5th, and not this.

Not to mention they might win it.

While we can’t overplay younger players, players like Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, Bruno should be able to cope with two games in a week.

Should win this fairly comfortably but am confident we'll find a way to make it very difficult

I think we all know those cheating sods will successfully appeal by throwing money at Uefa.
Well that didn't stop them getting banned in the first place did it?

They'll get a 1 year ban. I don't see 2 years holding up but they'll want to lay down a marker, if it gets completely over turned then FFP will be destroyed.

They are top of their league and went 2-0 up away at the Bernabeu earlier this season in the CL. They are no mugs at all. I still expect us to go through but if we make too many changes I think we could go out. It wasn't the easy draw that many people initially thought it would be.

I think Ole really wants to win something. Also I think Everton's a toss up no matter what team we put out and Brugge are going to be rested for a one off cup game. I think we'll go pretty strong:

    Romero
    AWB Lindelof Maguire Shaw Williams
    Fred McT
    Bruno
    Greenwood Ighalo

Keep he same squad from Watford:

    McTominay in for Matic
    Ighalo in for Martial

If we're struggling after 60mis, bring on Martial

made me chuckle, are you a psychic in training or something?

Guess if Shaw will start, he was in the presser so looks like it, does it mean Williams start against Everton? Or back to 5-3-2 against Everton and both play

Oh shit I didn't give the official Attendance - 69,407

I can't be divulging that sort of information, Everton might have people on the forum for that reason only.

Oops nearly forgot the yellow cards for United: Lindelof '5 and Ighalo '72

Is Lindelof getting a yellow after taking his shirt off to celebrate his 30 yard bicycle kick?

Scores 4mins, yellow at 5mins

I don't put it past Solskjær to play a 2nd 11 in this match. With a few key players on the bench such as Martial, Fernandes, maybe James (for his speed); just in case we can't score in the first 60 minutes.

    1 ---- Sergio Romero
    2 ---- Diogo Dalot
    3 ---- Brandon Williams
    4 ---- Eric Bailly
    5 ---- Phil Jones
    6 ---- Scott McTominay
    7 ---- Jesse Lingard
    8 ---- Andreas Pereira
    9 ---- Odion Ighalo
    10 -- Juan Mata
    11 -- Tahith Chong

The weekend game is far more important now we're only 3 points behind Chelsea.
