Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
I wish we could score three or four genuinely good goals that aren't from corners or opponent howlers.

Our attack, no matter how people like to dress it up, plays like it's stuck in the mud.
It's by far the most frustrating thing about us because that's where our biggest talents operate. Its also where we've spent most of our money recently.

My hopes rest on Martial & Mkhitaryan on that sense right now as they're the more untried quantities right now. If they serve up more of the same then it's a genuine head- scratcher.

Likewise. I think encouraging successful attacking football is predominantly down to coaching. In fairness to Mourinho, though it's far from perfect, we are getting more shots on goal.

But in terms of putting together passes in and around the opposition box that lead to a goal we're well behind almost all of our domestic rivals.

Aside from that Mata goal against Leicester, I can't think of a goal that has really impressed me.

    Mkhitaryan team news update

Henrikh Mkhitaryan will not start Manchester United’s Europa Leaguetie against Fenerbahce tonight.

M.E.N. Sport understands Mkhitaryan is ‘not quite ready’ to return for a competitive start despite returning to training at Carrington three weeks ago.

United manager Jose Mourinho refused to confirm if Mkhitaryan would start on Wednesday but is still optimistic the Armenian 27-year-old will justify his £26.3million price tag.

“Mkhitaryan was injured, he is not injured any more and is training without any limitations,” Mourinho said at his pre-match press conference.

“I cannot confirm if he will play tomorrow but he is fit and it is time for him to go back to the levels we know he can achieve.”

    All change up front
Ashley Young has been rested and it’s safe to assume Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcus Rashford will be, too. Paul Pogba could partner the midfielder or he could also sit it out as well. We’ll have more on United’s attack for tonight’s game soon.

Skrtel to receive a contrasting welcome to Van Persie I'd expect.

So this is M.E.N claiming Mkhitaryan won't start because of Mourinho's quotes? If its based from that alone, I still think he's starting.

It’s understood Wayne Rooney will start up front with Anthony Martial, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard behind him in the United attack.

    Interesting team speculation.

Anyone know much about Fener? Apart from RvP and Skrtl I have now idea.

Yeah, but at least this time it seems a bit plausible.
But then again Mourinho said he wants to field a strong team.
Rooney starting, doesn't sound so strong! :nono:
If Rooney doesn't perform then it could be the end of him. Herrera, Blind, Valencia and Young rested. Mikhi and Morgan not yet ready.

    Most definitely.

Wonder what subs he will go for, if Herrera and Morgan not in, wonder if Carrick will get a cameo. Probably Memphis will get a run in and if things are going bad, Zlatan or Rash on to get a goal, or both for that matter.

FFS is he made of glass !! doubt he has been fully fit since we signed him , it is a bit annoying.

Mkhi's training for 3 weeks and he's still not ready for a start?

I just want to be blown away again, a goal in the first 10 minutes, then dominating with slick passes, and another goal just before half time. In to 2nd half we start with good intensity and on the 60th minute we get our 3rd. Continuing to pass well and not create a snoozefest, we can make 2 changes by the 70th minute, and the final change by the 85th minute. See out the game with comfort. (Here's to fairytales coming truth)

    Will be more like:

Start the game slowwww, not getting out of 1st gear the entire first half, with Rooney missing at least 3 sitters. Second half we run with purpose for the first 10 minutes of 2nd half, only to concede a goal. That makes Jose go to the bench and ring 2 changes, Zlatan and Rash coming on. Old Trafford keeps shouting shoooooooot everytime our players come close to the opposition box. Finally we get the equalizer, Rashford poaching goal, there after we push and push frustratingly for the winner, and Jose throws on Memphis around 75th minute for our last change. 88th minute after dominating the last 12 minutes we finally get our goal, Zlatan bailing us out again. (Here's to all the pessimists out there)

( That awkward moment, 2 hours just before kick off when you have nothing but time...)

I'd assume a severe contusion to the thigh would be somewhat detrimental in a sport that requires you to run for 90 minutes.

    Those can last for weeks.

    Wtf is wrong with miki?
Nothing I suspect. But its normal to bring players back after injury first as a sub then a half time sub then a start only to be subbed and then finally full games. Remember he's not had a run of games since he came so lacks match fitness and sharpness.

Not too much about their players. Simon Kjær partnering Skrtel and van der Wiel on the right.

What I do know is that they're currently 9th in the Turkish Super League, 9 points after 7 matches. If we fail to beat them, whatever our XI, the players need to take a long look in the mirror.

It's nearly November and Mkhi has barely featured. Worrying.

I hate the fact that Fenerbahce spelled wrong in the thread title bothers me so much.

Fair setup I guess, expected Schneiderlin-Carrick midfield duo to be fair but other than that it seems alright.

Mkhitaryan probably is not yet fully fit.
