If it's Rojo against Mahrez then we might aswell give up now. I can't see that ending well at all. :nervous:
Jose clearly rates Rojo higher than Datmian at LB so...

Should be Shaw > Blind > Darmian > ....................Rojo

Would love to see this line-up. I would start Carrick in every match he is fit to play in. Our other passers simply do not have his range. Also, our best period in last three years started with Carrick coming back in the team (Scored one and gave an assist to Fellaini) and ended with him getting injured in 4-1 victory against City. If I remember correctly, we played a three man midfield of Herrea, Fellaini and Carrick in each of those game.

    ------------De Gea---------------
    Valencia----Baily-----Blind----Rojo
    ----------------Carrick-----------
    -------Herrera--------------------
    -----------------------Pogba-----
    Rashford--------------------Martial
    ----------Ibrahimovic--------------

Edit : Rojo because isn't Shaw injured and out for a few more weeks? Wouldn't mind Mkhi starting in place of Rashford.
Edit 2: Just read through various other line-ups and found 95% us want the same team starting. Now I am sure the team will under-perform in case Jose actually goes with this eleven :( (I mean well)

I just wish he would go 4-3-3 it would solve a lot of problems, especially the Wayne on. We have better midfielders than him and if he had to play him, put him out wide, out of harms way.

    Probably this:

    Martial Zlatan Rashford
    Pogba Herrera
    Fellaini
    Shaw Blind Bailly Valencia
    deGea
I would actually have Carrick on for Fellaini. Play Fellaini there would constantly force Pogba and Herrera to come and collect the ball from midfield. I wouldn't like that and Carrick is probably my solution. If not Carrick, then push Blind up and then have Smalling take his place.

Can we play with some intensity and purpose, please Jose!

I am not saying that leaving this players out will instantly improve us, but they do not deserve it anymore than the like of Carrick and Herrera.

    So....

Drop Rooney and Fellaini and allow us to be more fluid and dynamic!! Let Carrick do the dirty work at the back and allow Herrera to link defence and attack and allow Pogba to roam freely!

let's play the United way, not the Van Gaal way! We need to be hungry for goals and go for the kill. Leicester are definitely there for the taking and there is no reason why we should not win this game.. We need 3 points desperately!!

    De Gea

    Valencia
    Bailly
    Blind
    Shaw

    Carrick

    Herrera
    Pogba

    Rashford
    Zlatan
    Martial

Thats easily our best team at the moment in terms of players available and chemistry. No more accommodating Rooney, no more Fellaini-Pogba midfield, none of this 'lets give Rojo a go for charity' craic, stick to this ideal balance of pace and composure.

Maybe give Mkhi a cameo near the end if he's fit.

I really hope our wide forwards turn up for this. If they don't, this will be like the rest of the games. Apart from Rooney, our wide forwards need to take the blame too -they've been well out of form. The sooner they start firing, the better.

Rooney isn't the cause of all our problems, but I'd wager part of the reason our wide players have been ineffective is because of him. He's too slow and seldom picks out their runs, and because he does his own thing he often gets in their way. The only way he bothers 'engaging' wide players are his pointless trademark 80 yard floated passes to Valencia.

Switch to 4-3-3 and Martial/Rashford will have a field day.

You're probably right and that's what I thought as well. The thing is, I can't seem to remember any great performance by our wide player when they have the ball on their feet. Apart from that Lingard performance in the community shield (and maybe Rashford), there is nothing. As much as Rooney should be feeding them great balls, they still need to do something special for us when they receive the ball from their fullbacks or from any other player. Last season, Martial created chances for himself and I know Mkhitaryan is capable of doing this too and that's what we need. Time will come, yes, but it has to come soon.

I love Rashford and admire him as much as you do but don't you thinks its a bit too much to ask the guy to cover both the wings?

Oh yeah. I forgot about Martial's injury. I thought he will be fine by now. Regarding Rooney not being in there, one can only hope.

I like that the post has already been edited, but the team still includes two Rashfords.

I think there's a slight chance Shaw will be ready? Anyway, I agree with that team - I assume you mean Martial instead of one of the two Rashfords ;)

Leicester has a new weapon in Slimani IMO, his hold-up play is pretty good. Gonna be an exciting match.

If Shaw isn't fit, I'd play Blind at left back. Rojo is woeful, and Blind is miles ahead of Darmian.

I really don't think that we can afford an exciting match at this moment in time, we really really need to win this one. I'll take a boring 1-0 win all day.

    I've gone for
    DDG
    Valencia - Bailly - Smalling - Blind
Herrera - Fellaini - Pogba (who knows formation)
    Rashford - Zlatan - Lingard

    Subs: Rooney, Mata, Mkhitaryan

Torn on whether Carrick would start. Don't think Martial will start either.

There is no way Rooney will be dropped after the comments in the presser. The useless turd will start and we will be as flat as shyte again. JM hasn't got the balls to drop him - that much is evident given that others have been dropped after one 'poor' performance.

Who's stopping Slimani's headers , Mahrez being Mahrez and Vardy being Vardy will determine if we win.. we can score, but right now can easily concede...im shouting 3-1 United :)

Mutv said Shaw and Mkhitaryan are OK. Think it might be in the embargoed section of Mou press conference
