    Pogba's checkered record against Liverpool
It’s some record Pogba has against Liverpool:

    • 2010-11 Youth Cup quarter-final: Sent off.
    • 2016-17 at Anfield: Underperforms.
    • 2016-17 at Old Trafford: Underperforms and gives away a penalty.
    • 2017-18 at Anfield: Out injured.
    • 2017-18 at Old Trafford: Out injured.
    • 2018-19 at Anfield: Unused substitute.
Well, today he scores a brace, and assists 3 times and gets Salah, or Mane, or VVD sent off..
Then he does Silly Walk on his way out in 81st minute, takes his shirt off and we see: Hello mr. Sourness.
He looks at the camera, smiles and winks.
    Lights out.

Of our three midfielders, Matic is the one who is easiest to replace. McTom can fill in for Matic or Herrera can be DM and Pereira/Fred can step in. Nevertheless, it will be a loss since those 3 players are not nearly as good as Matic. But missing Pogba would be a disaster.

We've spent the last two years giving stick to Matic. Now there are unsubstantiated reports that he won't feature and cue mass panic. We are at home, we're a form team and we have massive motivation. Enjoy the game!
Exactly. After our last match, some on here said Matic was causing them heart attacks when he was around the ball.

Very much looking forward to this game.

Matic out, Martial out, Lingard probably out as well. On top of that Michael Oliver is the ref. I don’t think we’ll win this :(

Surprised that everyone seems so sure we would win. There's a reason why the bookmakers has Liverpool as favourites by far. Think this has the PSG game written all over it. We're gonna lose 1-3.

In a world of my own. People know me here.
United v Liverpool has always been a massive game. But today takes it to a whole new level. I generally don't do predictions but I feel that if we win today we'll go on to win the league. That's how significant this game is. Winning would mean more than just 3 points, it would lift everyone at the club & build a new momentum that will carry us through to the end of the season.

    No pressure then guys ;)

Nah, we shouldn't define ourselves by other clubs. Stuff like signing Sanchez becsuse City want him smacks of PR, a bone thrown to the fans. In reality, the club is & should be more pragmatic.
I meant that would just be a bonus. Otherwise genuinely convinced by Ole and feel he should be given the mantle sooner so that he can plan for next season title challenge.

You're falling into the trap of black and white analysis, which has been perpetuated by the immediacy culture we have because of social media.

You won't lose the title if you lose today and to say a victory means you will win it is massively disrespectful to City's outstanding team.

No just based off what I’m reading on here. Matic and Martial didn’t check in to the Lowry.
Matic became a father in January, wouldn't be the biggest surprise if he's allowed to stay at home, same goes for Tony.

Lack of mobility up front is a big issue

Players not being at hotel does not mean they won't feature. Half an hour until team news, just chill until then :)
I can’t chill  this game is massive considering how we’re not only playing for ourselves, but also to stop Liverpool from winning the league. I’m physically incapable of relaxing right now.

Is Matic out?! Didn’t know that. Bit very shit. I’m absolutely bricking it.
Anyone know what happened to Matic? It would be quite a loss. Although he is the easiest to replace in our midfield 3, we don't have a lot of good options there.

I don't agree with that comment on Matic. It's a home game, not a long European away. If he's fit then he will start.

    Feet up at home.
Be positive before the game. Just think how much you would dread it with the previous manager in charge. As a proud Welshman I was nervous yesterday and it worked out ok in the end. Team spirit counts for so much.

If it turns out they’re starting after all I’m going to jump around in my room screaming. That’d be massive. Thanks for giving me some hope.
In which case why remove Jesse? He made the hotel thankfully.
Yeah I said possibly Lingard, though I guess he should start since he checked in. He’s vital.

I know how you feel, I've got a lot of nervous energy. This morning has gone painfully slowly. No matter what the team news, I'm confident that Ole will have the lads well motivated and with a tactical plan.

Pogba is going to run riot today IMO.

I’m just hoping he won’t be man marked out of the game. If he gets himself enough space to dictate the game then I guess we have a decent chance even if Sanchez and Fred are playing.

If Matic is out what about a diamond midfield with McTominay central, Herrera right, Fred left and Pogba at the top?

Gone to the gym to take my mind off the game - it's not working; will probably be lucky not to wake-up tomorrow with a knackered back

If Liverpool try to man mark Pogba then other attackers need to step up, something that did not happen against PSG, although injuries didn't help. I think Lingard and Rashford will be massive for us today - they will give us fantastic legs and prevent Liverpool from building to their forwards.
