I'm sure the Liverpool players are relishing the thought of coming up against you too Rashy.
Isn't the PR team supposed to know the fans' pulse or something of that sort? Why would you even have Rashford talk about the game. His stock is at an all time low, with so many fans actually happy if he leaves th club.

We desperately need to find something from somewhere. Evidence suggests that that's unlikely.

I've been trying to do a preferred starting line-up here but I'm basically finding it impossible to put together a line-up that I don't basically hate so I'm going to leave it

Bit of a weird one but I'd genuinely line up like this:

    -----------------------------------------------------------------De Gea-------------------------------------------------------------------------
    AWB--------------------------------------Varane-----------------------Martinez-----------------------------------------Malacia
    ---------------------------------------------------Jones--------------------Mctom-----------------------------------------------------
    Sancho---------------------------------------------------Erikson------------------------------------------------------------------Garnacho
    ---------------------------------------------------------------Elanga--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know that team is a bit weird and basically shit but I honestly think it gives us the best chance of grabbing something. Ronaldo to come on after about 50 minutes.

I find it quite hard to predict tonight's line up, especially whether Eric is going to drop Harry and shaw or not.

At the stage where avoiding a 4 - 5 goal thrashing seems the realistic thing we can hope for. Really, we just want to see the fight, determination and some cohesive passages of play regardless of result.

Logically, am scratching my head on how is it possible to get a win, but football is a strange game. We need to channel the times of John O'shea's winner against them and shithouse our way to victory somehow.

Personally I think the team is relatively easy to predict tonight. The defence is nailed in stone with Varane coming in for Maguire and Malacia in for shaw. Martinez won’t be abandoned just yet I think this will be a huge opportunity for Varane and Martinez to cement their place. Unfortunately I don’t think they have any chance of turning it around with the human statue behind them. Midfield raises some challenges without Casemiro here. Personally think we will bring McTominay back in after Fred’s poor display but also wouldn’t be shocked to see McFred with Bruno dropped for Eriksen. Martial is a cert to start now he’s fit. Team is very likely to be:

    —————————De Gea—————————
    Dalot—Varane————Martinez—Malacia
    —————Erikson—————McTominay——
    —————————Bruno———————————
    Sancho—————Martial—————Rashford

I want to see fight and determination. Not fear.

Kick the feck out of them.
Rattle them. Demand 100% commitment from themselves and their team mates.
Win back self respect at least.

Exactly. This is the bare minimum.

Look at Newcastle yesterday vs City. They outworked them. Our lot would never do that.

Who else is really excited for this tonight? I know we're probably gonna get tanked but this is a fixture I can't help but look forward to. Is Martial fit for tonight?

Just thinking of Diaz vs Dalot means what I'm feeling is more like a death march.

If AWB will get any game time, should be this one

I hope they are ready for war tonight. Think Lindelof, Martial and Varane starts.

Is there any reason not to start Martinez? I get it's a big game and he's new, but I doubt Liverpool will start throwing long balls to the likes of Salah, Firmino and Diaz. Even then, Martinez actually did well in the air vs Brentford. Seems a good game for a small, nimble CB that can deal with the threat on the floor and runners in behind.

And that is if the game goes ahead, which I am starting to doubt

Did any journalist ask about Martial? or did they just spend the entire conference trying to get ETH to slip up and criticise the players individually.

I think Martinez starts. Maybe in a back 3?
Its hard to see us do well in a 4-4-2 atm so it would make a lot of sense for this game.

You think There Will be huge protests tonight?

Yeah it certainly feels like there is something big brewing for tonight. It's hard to tell what the true intentions are of the protest, but there's whispers at least that the goal is to get the game abandoned.

Dont like it. We'll then lose 0-3 and what good will that bring.

There is no way we can be as bad as we were at Brentford. It’s just not possible.

Really hope that we make some much needed changes. Also we can’t be as bad as we were last year either in the same fixture. They are not in the same level of form as last year and no longer have Mane.

Game will be much closer than last year and you’ve got to hope that there is a big reaction after last week.

I think Martinez might play in from of Harry and Varane. Malacia in for Shaw. Id play AWB ahead of Dalot for defensive ability.

Erikson defo starter and after that take your pick from a poor bunch. Don’t see Martial starting just yet. Will be interesting to see what he picks up top.

They're going to come at us so hard, after that start they've had. And unlike us, they have actually been playing some good football, the results aside. At least we won't have to deal with watching Maguire and Martinez trying to handle Nunez, I suppose that's a comfort.

I was thinking the same about AWB . He won’t need to get forward as Liverpool will have pinned back and he is a better defender than Dalot

This is also what I believed before each game, I said we can't be as bad as we were last season before Brighton's game, and then I said we can't be as bad as vs Brighton, and we were worse.

Sinking to new low today vs Liverpool is very possible and can't be ruled out.

no he won't - visa hold up. we really can't just get a transfer down quickly and simply, can we?
Nah he's in England, the hold up is a work permit, he's got Spanish Nationality a visa to enter the country would be no problem.

I have never been less confident before a game than this one.
Same mate, I have zero faith if the likes of Rashford, Shaw, Maguire, McTominay, Bruno, Sancho & Ronaldo line up, and the worst part is, at least 5 of the names I mentioned will have to line up as today vs Liverpool as we do not even have options on the bench.

Let’s rattle these hoofball cnuts from the off today. Hit everything that moves and hit them again just to make sure. A raucous, charged-up Old Trafford will see us over the line tonight and get our season up and running.

I have no doubt that we’ll beat these overrated Pulisball bastards.

    Come on, Reds!
