We have to win this game! Chelsea dripping points is massive and we can jump above the scousers aswell. A win here would give the squad massive confidence going forward and hopefully we’ll have 2 new signings in the team for next weekends game.
hmmm.... and the tories to call an election next week? and lose 100 seats? I'm afraid I can see us giving Liverpool a goal inside 10 minutes

I'm sure the Liverpool players are relishing the thought of coming up against you too Rashy.
I am sick to death of the players apologising on social media or saying in press conferences that they need to improve as it's not good enough blah blah blah, just stop saying what you need to do and start fecking doing it on the pitch.

Do they think us as fans buy what they say anymore? It's insulting.

ah but the new men in suits have made our social media wonderful, so little else matters...

if we worked as hard as Leeds, we probably wouldn't have lost either game so far - certainly not last week

Not to say we worked are socks off last week but surely the huge individual errors cost us that match?
true but I think a half decent united side would have worked their way back into the game, certainly at one down maybe even at 2-0

I am absolutely bonkers for feeling we could get something here?
    Hope springs eternal mate.

Times we've beaten Arsenal with shocking injuries, and under Moyes. Holding Bayern under Moyes.
Not losing to Liverpool the time we had 4 injuries within 20mins!

This will have to be up there with those against the odds displays.
Lose a goal early doors though and it could be carnage.

    Really difficult team to pick.
You probably have to go defensive and have McFred in there as a deep block, as much as we're trying to move away from both!

    Yeah, you are.

We're going to try and play out from the back, despite being awful at it, against the best pressing team in world footy.

Our season is going to be starting in GW4. Can't see how we get anything tomorrow sadly. Would love to be proved wrong but can't see it.

    Man Utd 2 - 4 Liverpool
    Man Utd 0 - 5 Liverpool
    Liverpool 4 - 0 Man Utd

These are our last three games against them, we need to kill this with fire and smash them back.
Losing 2-13 in our last three games against our biggest rivals is criminal.

Pool have lots of injuries and low confidence, and look a bit crap, perfect time to play them and keep them down.

    2-1 United

Will ride our luck and nick the points.

Liverpool haven’t started well either and are missing a few good players.

You are forgetting our cup final triumph already where we thumped them 4-0?

Can’t remember ever feeling this pessimistic about a United game. Liverpool haven’t started the season particularly well yet we’re still miles apart in terms of where the two clubs are.

Fully accept that Ten Hag has a huge job and it will take a long time, perhaps a couple of years, to turn this ship around. Tomorrow’s result won’t really change that.

That being the case I’m just hoping we don’t get thumped again. Confidence is so low I fear an early Pool goal is all it would take to break us. The other fear is they might not even have to work for it; we’re giving goals away at the minute.

To get the three points I think we’ll need a keeper who refuses to be beat, an organised and resolute defence, a tenacious midfield who rarely gives the ball away and a strike force that buries what few chances come our way. Pains me to say it but we’re sorely lacking in all those departments.

Yikes, glad it’s not me giving the team talk. Come on United, do us all a favour and pull a minor miracle out the bag.

Still feel there is a good player in Rashford. He just needs to drop the whole ego and image thing and get back to what made him great. He ran his socks off and was never afraid to take on any defender. When he receives the ball tomorrow, he just needs to set his mind on taking his man on and when off the ball, he needs to run and chase till he is out of breath. Just keep it simple.

Would love to see actual energy and running. That’s really all I want from this game.

Perfect game to kick start the season.

    Not for us obviously.

Some cracking games about today - Leeds were great, city/Newcastle was a classic and Barca was a good watch too.
I trust we can calm everything down with a nice boring draw tomorrow. Or a soul crushing depressing defeat. :wenger:

Easy to get the best of us as we'll try to play out the ball from the back which is a recipe for mistakes against one of the best pressing teams around.

We also don't have a target man to lump the ball up to so we're fecked in that area too.

God only knows how we'll line up or what the tactics will be.

I think he’ll change them… wouldn’t be surprised to see donny start here. I’d keep Fred just because he can press. Mctominay has to go.
