Nothing will be coming down the left hand side if that's your team, other than an ambulance, to peel me off the floor and take me to A&E

Be interesting to see if VDB is available and would be great to give Bruno & Dalot a rest, assuming our only absentees are AWB, Williams, Maguire, Tuanzabe & Martial I'd go with the below with one eye on the weekend but a strong enough team to win comfortably and bring on some of the younger fringe players if possible:

    DDG
    Malacia Varane Lindelof Shaw
    Casemiro Fred
    Antony VDB Rashford
    Ronaldo

Sorry everyone, I'm taking my lad to this and he's been 4 times now and never seen us win a game. In those 5 games, we've scored 1 goal, drawn 1 and lost 3. If we don't win this, then I'm never taking the jinxy little twat again.

It's a long trek into Manchester for me tomorrow, as I'm flying in from Stockholm where I'm working this week, and it's a giant ballache getting back in time. I'm having to fly into Stansted on Wednesday night, stay there overnight and then get a train back home from London just to get back in time as there are no direct flights in time for me to get home, pick up my lad and get to OT.

We'd better score a feckload of goals.
Thats a very busy schedule, i hope you and your lad make it there and i hope we smash them by five too, and have the curse of you and your lad watching the game together broken.

If we can show up cold as ice and hammer them 5 or 6 nil, it would put our goal difference above Real Sociedad, still allowing a goal for them against Sherriff and then just waiting to see what happens in the final game.
Aren't UEFA tournaments done on head to head rather than GD?

I want a lot of changes. This is as gimme a game as we're going to get all year. Respect the opponent but put on some kids and players that haven't had game time. Dubravka, awb, donny, Zidane, casemiro , garnacho should all start if possible.

This will almost certainly be the easiest game we play this season. I know that depends on the FA Cup draw and we struggled a little over in Cyprus. However, if you look at the squad they have... it really is god awful.

I'm not expecting to see wholesale changes but I do hope ETH uses this to through in one or two young players. Maybe Zidane and Garnacho?

I forgot to submit the line-up for the last two games and I got the best progress in the rank, maybe I will just leave it.

Ten Hag needs to be rotating the squad a bit now, with the heavy schedule we've got over the next few weeks some of the players may burn out, or get muscle injuries which could rule them out of the World Cup, Shaw being one of the most likely.
I believe Malacia was one who found the schedule a bit too much recently, his last two matches were poor, so I'm hoping that he will get a run out on Thursday, and likewise Dalot was not so good last Sunday, so a recall for be AWB seems logical if fit.
I would persist with Lindelof and Martinez at CB, as I don't expect Omonia to attack us too much, so Martinez won't be under too much pressure, also Dubravka could get his first run out, albeit he shouldn't have much to do.
Fred and McTominay will be fine as CM, with Ericsen and Casemiro rested.
Rashford, Ronaldo and Antony will start I believe, with possibly Iqbal as the advanced midfielder.
I will be disappointed if we play pretty much the same team as started on Sunday, but Ten Hag is renowned for playing the same players continually, but I think if he does that, then some players will have injury issues.

AWB and VdB unavailable once again. Barely any word on them in fact. I'm past believing the injury and fitness excuse. Something's up. Probably getting sold in January to finance incomings.

The lengths we go to support our team !
Spent a night on a bench in Hollyhead once! After a 1 nil loss to Juve.

Quotes above show AWB is out long-term.

So it's Dalot at RB again - we just have no cover for him!

So you prefer to believe the manager is just deliberately running players into the ground? Okay.

I'd leave Varane, Shaw, Casemiro and Eriksen on the the bench as I think they will almost certainly be starting the next three league games (Newcastle, Spurs and Chelsea).

Ronaldo up top as he may start on Sunday if Martial isn't fit.

I'd give Sancho an opportunity to find some form too, very much with the expectation that Rashford starts on Sunday. For Sancho he really needs to put in a top performance if he wants to get back into the line up, whether that's replacing Ronaldo and putting Rashford back up front or simply replacing him with Rashford. I can see that position changing a few times through the season but it's Rashford's for now.

Any context around why ETH stated Rashford would be training today? Did he miss some training sessions this week?

He got clobbered at the very end of the match against Everton when the corner got cleared and the final whistle went. Limped off at the end.

No need to go all guns blazing here, our reserves should have enough to beat them At old Trafford… although I don’t want to underestimate them as they almost did us last game. We have a big game on Sunday against Newcastle so we’ll need fresh legs there. Give eriksen a rest and martinez, think they’ve played every game so far for us.

I hope we rotate a bit for this one. I would start:
    DDG
    Dalot-VNL-Martinez-Malacia
    --------------Mct-Fred---------------
    Pellistri-----Bruno----Sancho
    ---------------Ronaldo--------------
Eriksen needs a rest, Sancho needs to get his act together and I would like to see Pellistri start this.
I would play AWB if available as Dalot is suspended for Newcastle but I'm not sure what his status is.
We will probably see a similar side to the one we saw today...
    Surely rest Bruno too

Be interesting to see if he starts McTominay as he’s suspended for Sunday, but as we’ve seen so far, Ten Hag doesn’t tend to rotate too often.

Need to win the group, strongest XI possible I think.

    McTominay - Casemiro
    Elanga - Bruno - Sancho
    Ronaldo

Should be good enough. Rashford, Antony and Eriksen to come on if needed, otherwise I'm hoping to see Pellistri, Iqbal, and Garnacho.

Should give Dubravka a game. Casemeiro could do with a start too. Was gonna put Martial in... but surprise surprise he's injured again.

    Dubravka
    Dalot Lindelof Martinez Malacia
    Casemeiro Fred
    Pellestri Bruno Sancho
    Ronalod

Start the strongest team possible, hopefully get the business done first half, and then bring on the subs.

Without Martial, I think we need Rashford starting on the left here, with Antony on the right - we need genuine goal threats across that front line. The way he and Martial quickly put these guys to sword last week after we'd toiled for a whole half showed how important a decent forward line is, even against relative minnows.

Ten hags going to with a full strength team for this one. Possibly rotate Ronaldo and one other but he likes to go in strong. Get a good lead then use the subs. You can forget seeing any kids start.

As sad as it may be, I'm a little worried about leaving out Eriksen for this game. Our possession play seems to be night and day, depending on whether he plays or not. Hope we can put in a focused performance and be up by 2-3 at half-time, so we can manage the squad better. Newcastle in the weekend will be a tough test.

Eriksen needs a rest, he's been playing non-stop. We've got some huge games coming up over the next few weeks and then he goes straight to the World Cup where Denmark could easily go to the QF's. We'll get chances in this game whether Eriksen plays or not, they're really poor defensively. This is the best chance we'll get to rest him in a long while; we'd be mad not to take it.
