I expect the next two league matches to be more difficult than the previous games, from here we will need to up our game. Some of the games we have played have been a slow start, followed by a whirlwind 30 min to win the game and a stroll for the last 30, I think it will be harder fight from here on out starting with Southampton.

    De Gea
    AWB Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    Bruno McTominay Pogba
    Greenwood Martial Rashford
Even though we don't really want to change the team, I think Matic could do with a rest for this one so Scott can come in and play.
I'd possibly bring Williams in too

Tough game and I can see them scoring but with the form Martial and Greenwood are in we will bag a couple and win this 2-1 or 3-1.

Against Josh King we saw our central defence is vulnerable to pace. Ings is about as fast as King. They will likely score. This will be about who scores more. As a team, Southampton have nothing to play for; we do. We'll win but not by a 3 goal margin.

I think if United win this one and City lose their appeal, we might see quite a changed team for Palace on Thursday, as the FA Cup semi will be the key game then. 3rd would be nice, but 5th and a FA Cup is a far nicer achievement. We should be trying to win every match, but not sure the best way to do that is to play the same XI every week twice a week, even with five subs.

United have looked the fittest team since the restart, the simple fact is we are probably not training at full intensity as the games are keeping the fitness up, all that's needed is conditioning between games.
Play the best team available at the start of every game, then take them off early if ahead and comfortable.

Massive game this after the Chelsea result, 3 points a must.

Full squad again, rest the players in the cup top 4 is more important this season.

5 games in 14 days is a tough ask. I’m not arguing for heavy rotation for the sake of it, but just making sure our best team is prime next Sunday.

Well because of this evening and going off of past experiences, this is just teasing for some dropped points by us... and it really would be written in the stars if Leicester don’t win tomorrow.

I will take a scrappy, ugly 1-0 all fecking day for this one. Anything above that is a bonus.

We gotta be fast out of the blocks, put the game to bed nice and early. We've strolled to victory the past few games but we need to make a statement with this game.

Nothing changed really. We still have to win all remaining 4 matches as of today.

I know I am risking the “first real test” joke, but Southampton is the first decent team we’ll play since the games resumed. We’ll have to start this game strong or it will become hard work. I hope there’s no tiredness or complacency .

    Sheffield Utd?
They have got back to their best in the last two games but at the start they weren’t very good. In current form, Southampton are much better than the Sheff United we played.

I do think this game could be a potential banana skin. Our confidence is sky high and top 4 is now within our grasp, could create a nervous situation if we don't start well.

Southampton have a genuine goal scorer and our defence is pretty shaky at the best of times. If Matic and Pogba continue to take control of the midfield so that our defence has less to do, we'll be fine.

They play a system that will trouble us and are now bang in form, probably the hardest game on paper left in my mind. Definitely one we should be winning and it's lucky they don't have much to play for now.

I rate Hasenhuttl massively - when we played them previously they were all over us but just lacked that little bit of quality to take advantage, what he's achieving there with a really average team, arguably below average now I think through their starting XI, is seriously impressive. Used to love watching his Leipzig team. So'ton are the perfect example of a tactical system really working with average players, kind of the opposite to us first half of the season where he were rammed full of good players but just so disjointed. Will be really interesting to see how we cope with their pressing and if Ings can isolate Maguire or Lindelof.

As of today, game over if we drop points in any of the remaining matches. All 4 must win. Chelsea can 100% qualify if they win rest 3 matches. It is still between us and Leicester. Even draw against them on the last day will not help.

It is really unreal to go on a winning streak that long. Doable? Yes. But not very probable. Hoping Leicester to lose a match.

I highly doubt it. We have very composed attackers in every position. Its not the case were lingard and james are playing. Pogba is also back which wasnt the case in those games we dropped.

Mark my words. Greenwood is the key in last 4 matches...even more than Bruno. That poacher instict, that killer shot will glide us through.

That’s a ridiculous statement to make, Sheff Utd and Spurs (despite everything), are two decent sides.

Anything can happen in the PL. but we are in great form. Let’s enjoy the ride.

With the door open to top 4 following Chelseas loss tonight, I hope we show the desired determination to get back where we belong by absolutely smashing Soton. I think this match suddenly have become a big test of how far we have come in terms of mentality and playing under pressure.

I was talking about what I actually saw and not the reputation. Chris Wilder himself admitted that Sheff United weren’t playing well at the restart.

Sure but the fact remains that’s Utd punished Sheff Utd in outstanding fashion, something this Chelsea team don’t seem capable of.

Amazing result there in Sheffield. Wonder if our Monday game just got more difficult as we all know we like to squander advantage.

Would be very pleased if we ended up third this season...

I hope we play bruno about 15 yards behind his usual position for this one. Mainly because we have tended to start slow a couple of times and that can give some incentive to the opponent who press. A proper midfield 3 to start the game might help us keep more control and bring pogba's long passing game into play.

Bruno clearly has the tenacity to counter any press and move the ball forward quick enough to release greenwood into space.

I cant believe people are worried about this game that much. I watched their last two games, City absolutly smashed them but didn't have their shooting boots on. The Everton match was pretty even too and we are obviously way better than Everton.

if they play how I think they will play (come at us) then I see us getting a minimum 2 goals.

What’s that got to do with our team selections? You don’t run your own team into the ground because your opponents also have a busy schedule.

I'll be surprised if Ole goes with the same team for the fifth game in succession, not with the fixtures piling up thick and fast. I'm sure we could replace Matic with one of Fred or Mctominay, and Shaw with Williams with little to no impact on the team. Maybe even James for one of the attacking trio.

Either way, the squad needs to be managed well from this point onwards as we have three games in seven days coming up, one of which is an FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.
