We got royally fecked today. Unfortunately with 1 point from 6, no goals scored and losing arguably our most important player for a further 3 league games top 4 is certainly not a given. Absolutely fuming with that match.

I even forgot we were 10 men. Besides, we had enough that we should have won it.

Anyway, it is what it is. We should have won, we didn't. On to the next.
It's a completely fine result considering we played the majority of the game with 10 men and were denied a penalty.

What a depressing game, ruined by shit decisions. That was 3 points in the bag with 11 men.

Nowadays, if they look at the screen, it's a guaranteed decision in favour of what's being checked.

    It's pointless
He’s supposed to be the best ref in the country. A decent ref would have stood by his original and good decision for a yellow. I know being sent to the screen is ominous but he still has a say. Both as shit as each other.

I'm not worried about top four. Liverpool and Tottenham will throw away plenty of points.

    There's only one United!
Anthony Taylor is a prima donna just like all Italian referees

Maybe I termed it wrong, I just didn't see too much praise of how we got a through this game with a point, playing with 10 men, and us playing on Thursday with Southamptom fresh is no mean feat.

Big difference is if Taylor and Marriner were on another game away from OT with 2 different teams , that challenge stays a Yellow!
Utd are big news so something has to come out from the game to remember there Names.
1 min added on at half time with VAR review for a red Card? That in Its self should be questioned by Utd . Similar tackle I think in Chelsea game and not even getting ball , not the same outcome.

We as Utd need to just beat teams up no need for shit House refs and VAR

Should have kept Weghorst on and taken Sancho off didn’t get that decision when we went down to ten.

Weghorst big lad, he works hard and would have shown for the ball. The ball just kept coming back all the time. Sancho so so passive!

Showed good character down to ten men for the best part of 65 mins.

I am again disgusted at the level of commentary and the length they go to support Var and the ref when big decision are called against us, Said it before and I say it again the level of bias is clearly verging on corruption. Is the ref travelling on the Southampton bus put of Old Trafford ? If that was Mctominay and not Casemiro then it would have been a yellow. at most. If the big ref/var corruption fc" look at Casemiro he is a dirty player" and so important get him banned. Get onboard the i hate United bus. How many times did fabinho go over the ball or in with studs and nothing, The house scales are tipped in favour of anyone playing us.

To add a more neutral view to it: To overturn Casemiros yellow was to harsh. I‘d say it was an orange foul, with a bit of sense you let the yellow stand, have a word with him and that’s it. Massively influencing the season by taking him out the next 4 games is just dull.

Apart from that: No we were not robbed and no the hand ball was not a clear pen. Again, a lot of bad individual performances combined with unlucky ref decision cost us. Game could have easily gone the other way too, so let’s take the point and move on.

PS: I want to see a solid Sabitzer-Fred CM the next game, no experiments.

I hope you are right but we still have tough games at Newcastle (without Casemiro) and Spurs. I can easily see us losing one if not both with the amount of games we are playing. Anyway I think we can beat Fulham at home with 11 and the Betis match is near enough won. International break may help us.

Well we were crap when we had 11, did well when had 10. Shouldve been two pens.

Proof that we aren't there yet if we can't put the bottom side away at home though. Should rest a lot of players on Thursday because they are shit right now

Besides the obvious ref points. Ten hag really made today's game unnecessarily difficult by playing Bruno in a deeper role. It was hard to see that working and meant that casemiro had to cover too much ground

Saints are shite (that Lavia guy looked decent) so a point at OT is like a cup final. Non of those situations were pens, you need much more for a pen these days. The red was soft but still a red. Studs up = red I do't know what was Casemiro thinking. We need to step up, our recent PL results are shite.

Proud of the lads today. Good response collectively after last Sunday's debacle.

How will we sum up Casemiro's first season? So incredibly mixed!!

Can't blame the ref. We started too slowly again. Our real problem.

Hope Saints stay up. Such a likeable team.

We were playing a man less for an hour and came out with a much deserved draw without having to park the bus.

if it was not United, people would surely have said well done.

That's not a red card, Casimiro is touching the ball.

Its maybe a yellow card because of a dangerous play with his foot put forward if you insist but not more than that

It doesn’t matter if you touch the ball whilst in the process of committing a red card tackle. It’s still a red because he left the ground and made a studs up challenge that hit the players standing leg. The rules do not say what you want them to say.

That said, I think there was no malice in it, and it was awkward rather than any attempt at injury.

The standard or refereeing and VAR in the PL is atrocious, today's officiating highlight's the problem we have when they are not held accountable. It is about time that they are put infront of the cameras at the end of the game, just like the manager's have too and let them explain why they make the decision's they do.

I agree, but consistency is another issue. A red card for going studs up on a opponents leg is not. It's just so unnecessary. Anyone who has played football will know he doesn't have to do that.
I’m fine with it as he wins the ball and then his foot bounces over. I’m also fine if the ref gives a red and it’s consistent. Issue is it’s not.

    Are you shittin' me, bro?

You don't see how third place Manchester United are going to topple bottom place Southampton at Old Trafford?

Come on, chief. I'm not sure you truly believe that at all. If the fear of a home game vs. the Saints puts the fear of the Lord into you, we might as well pack up shop and close up! :)
Thoughts and prayers for our lads today. They might as well give Southampton the 3 points now - there's no way we are beating the bottom placed team at Old Trafford.

    @Waynne is a wimp
We were lucky to come away with a draw.
