I could see this coming a mile off. They were lucky but we really need to make our chances count - could've stuck 5 past them easily.

Stoke have been hammered by others this season but obviously they go home with a draw.

Awful result but a terrific performance. The amount of chances we create, it defies belief this has ended all square. Stoke got away with one today, on another day this would've been 5-0.

Shocking to loose that game. Stoke were horrible for most parts of the game and were there for the taking. If our finishing was at least average today we would have easily won by more than 3 goals. And to top it all off De Gea had a big blunder as well.

After all the optimism at the start of the season this seems to quickly go back to a mighty scramble for a top 4 just like the last few seasons.

Wasteful finishing, and one mistake. People saying that we were boring and embarrassing need to calm down.

EDIT: only embarrassing thing is the outcome

I fecking hate Stoke. Nothing team, if the score was 5-1 It wouldn't have been undeserved.

Bad luck when it comes to finishing, can not blame DDG much, just cant believe most of the team did not even bother to track back.

They didn't turn up against us any more than they did for anyone else. We just aren't very good.
Their keeper was in inspired form and their defence were a wall. Add this to Allen playing out of his skin and Hughes having an axe to grind ever since he managed City it was pretty much guaranteed they were going to turn up today.

Our finishing was dogshit though - as I mentioned in the other thread play this game 10 times and 9 times we come out winners scoring a bucketload of goals. We gave them belief by not scoring until late in the second half.

fecking sickening. No doubt City win their game, and we're 4 points behind Liverpool already. :(

It's weird, I had this dream that we got rid of LvG's philosophy and I could have sworn it was reality.

People saying if we could finish we'd have scored 5!...if Stoke could finish they would have scored 5. We were shit. Made Joe Xavi Allen look like, well, Xavi.

Special mention to Smalling, awful and I've said it for the last three years, a liability and a fanny too. A bumbling, nervous wreck of a man.

not even close, we have still controled the game, only scored because of a mistake by DDG , did not look even close to scoring before that.
Neither did we in the second half except for when they passed to Tony M.
First half we were excellent just needed to finish our chances. Their goalkeeper was man of the half. Second half we just didn't turn up. The only thing that Grant had to do was pick the ball out of his net.

The fact was they came for a draw they didn't need to score until we did.

We demonstrate so many signs of being a troubled team. I knew after Martial scored we'd cave in and let that pile of shit who everybody is beating score. You can't trist anybody and we need a result at Anfield now.

Ibra needs to learn it isn't the French league and you can't miss chances and still bag a few a game.

Y'all over reacting. We played very well and had many chances. Yes we were open but bring in Miki and Martial into the team and we'll be another proposition.

The problem today was goals and finishing. The important thing is that we were still making chances against a team defending deep.

It wasn't great but far from bad.

Its the first weekend of October
In the most competitive PL season to date. City; Liverpool; Arsenal; Spurs all look like finishing above us. We can't afford to drop points against dross like today and it's all down to complacency. DDG and Pogba think they're better than they are and that cost us 3 points today.

After all i have read in the last 10 minutes here I think that half of the people here either did not watch the game but only the result or they just cannot tell the difference between football, American football and Australian football. We played a good game, created huge amount of chances that last year would take us half a season to create and one onlucky blunder from DDG cost us 2 points. I am pretty optimistic after this game. We are really improving...

Bottom of the league drawing at home can only be considered shambolic.
