Shame Rojo is suspended, as wouldn't want to change anything really. Mkhi in for Rooney, and Martial for Lingard.

Bailly if fit, if not Smalling for Rojo.

Rojo is NOT suspended for this game, his only Yellow Cards were against Everton, Palace and West Brom. Though, the first two should have been Red...

De Gea, Valencia, Jones, Rojo, Herrera, Pogba, Ibrahimovic are pretty much nailed on to start. Most likely Darmian at LB, if not Blind. We can afford to rest Carrick for a game against the worst team at OT, allowing us to play Mata or Rooney as the 10.

    De Gea
    Valencia Jones Rojo Darmian
    Herrera Pogba
    Lingard Mata Rooney
    Ibrahimovic
    ---
Romero; Smalling, Blind; Fellaini, Mkhitaryan; Martial, Rashford

Baffles me how, back to back yellows makes you suspended for the next one isn't it ?

Rest carrick for these. If miki is out, play martial or lingard. Hope we smash them. Like a 5 or more hammering and dont stop at any point. Also hope Moyes gets the reception he deserves (a shit one).

I think Mourinho has pretty much found his favourite 11. I think certain players he now trusts, others he wants to push themselves. In terms of ones who he trusts I think we have De gea, Valencia, bailly, jones, rojo, carrick, pogba, Herrera, mata, rooney, zlatan, rashford, Lingard, fellaini and mkhi(finally). That doesn't necessarily mean they start but I get the impression the others haven't convinced him yet, them being blind, smalling, schweini, schneidi, young, darmian, shaw, martial, depay. They all need to step up and prove themselves just as the others have done when they've got their chance (although a couple of them haven't actually played well, big fella and rashford for instance) I think a couple will play in this game. I want martial to make himself part of the plans going forward. Shaw as well, two young players with a lot of quality who need to prove themselves again.

If we are going to rest Carrick it should be the Middlesbrough game on the 31st really as we play West Ham away only 2 days after.

True. We could rest him in both tbh. No need to risk injury when these 2 are what should be easy games with us in good form and full of confidence for once.

We need to absolutely smash them. I just hate this team.
I don't hate Sunderland, but their manager

I hope he's sacked after it and is never employed again. Twat.

Anyway, it's been a long time since I was so convinced of a win.
I think anything less than 5 goals, will be a disappointment. Mioyes needs to be spanked!!!

Please oh please can we smash them.

Mkhitaryan should be back for this shouldn't he?

Losing to that shower of shite at OT would be unbearable. Hope we thrash them and Moyes curls in to a ball and cries in the dugout.

    De Gea
    Valencia--Jones--Rojo--Darmian
    Carrick
    Herrera--Pogba
    Mkhitaryan--Ibrahimovic--Martial

subs: Romero, Blind, Fellaini, Lingard, Mata, Rooney, Rashford

Sadly I think Lingard or Rooney will start instead of Martial

Big game! We can't afford to relax and slip up again, have to be 100% on it for even these 'smaller' games.

Sunderland will be a hard team to break down. I think if we score first and earlier like we did against West Brom yesterday, then we will probably score three or four.

I really wish we thrash that shite of a team, but I do fear that they will score one goal, park the bus and somehow grab the points. Then it will be an absolute hell with Moysey saying that "If only he had been given more time!"; "Look how I can set up Blunderland against the mighty United! Can you imagine what I can do with a better team?"; "I'm right up there with Mourinho and Guardiola". Oh, how I wish we could win that game 4-0 or even better

Need to field our strongest lineup and not take anything for granted. One match at a time and it's Sunderland. If Moyes can't get his players up for this match, all the better, but United need to field a strong team and be on top from the start. Smash the feck out of Sunderland we hope, but just get the 3 points and roll on to the next one.

Carrick should play then perhaps take him off and give BFS a run in the second half if we're shitting on them.

Really, really hope we embarrass these. Haven't forgotten the poznan and would love to embarrass that joke of a manager.

I've been waiting for that total annihilation since forever it seems. I want at least 5- 0 vs this sorry excuse for a football team with their sorry excuse for a manager... dos, tres, quatro fecking goals before half time!

This. We are not in the position to rest players. Every game at this point is a must win. Carrick brings balance to the side that no one else is capable of.

Lets not get too cocky. A win no matter how it is gotten is needed untill we catch upto the teams above us. I ll take 1-0 with a goal from a corner that deflects of beach ball into john o shea and loops over the keeper into the goal. Just Win.

arsenal are bottling it again. We have two winnable games, arsenal have two tricky games, and these games can help not only close the points gap but the GD gap.

moyes is now making excuses about not knowing the financial details of the club before joining sunderland. He's either looking for a way out or preempting a sacking. We have to put these @#$%^&* to the sword. No 1-0 with 25 mins to go. 2/3-0 at HT then take your foot off the gas.

We absolutely need a convincing victory at home.

Just unleash all the potential against this weak side of Sunderland.

Victory is a need, performance is a MUST

Moyes has zero ambition in big games

Even his record in the big games for Everton was dire..... they will sit back

With a bit of luck and an early goal we will score 3 or 4 in this

Would love to be 2-0 up and give Rashford some proper time at 9

We need not rest any players after a 9 day gap between the matches.
Yup. Should go full strength for this. Maybe rest a few in the next game against Boro as we have West Ham away just two days after that.

Can we get Paddy Power to have the Grim Reaper back for this game? It was awesome the last time around...
