Have to win this, Sunderland are a poor team. And City are away to Spurs.

We could really run them off the pitch in this one...I wanna see Rooney and Memphis come alive in this one

And can't wait to see what Martial can do against a bad opposition...the goal must be looking a mile wide to him right now.

Give Mata a rest, Pereira deserves another start after scoring. Schmidfield will dominate sunderland with Rooney linking the midfield to Martial

Really shoudl be 4 or 5 nil. But probablyhave to accept two, with 85% of the possession! Sunderland are one of the poorest teams ever to "grace" the Prem but we'll make them look "brave" and "determined". We need to score early

    3-1.

Why would they score? Just because, I guess. They'll get some chances for sure and score one. That's my official prediction and I'm sticking to it.

I'm wondering if Jones will start, with Blind at LB, and I wouldn't mind Pereira starting over Mata, but I don't think that shall happen. LVG will go with the big guns, we can't have another Newcastle game.

    Darmian Smalling Blind Young
    Carrick Schweinsteiger
    Mata Rooney Memphis
    Martial
    ---
Romero; Jones, Valencia; Schneiderlin, Pereira, Herrera; Fellaini

Thinking we might see this, but home games against this kind of opposition are where I'd prefer to see just one of Carrick/Schweinsteiger/Schneiderlin in favour of Herrera/Fellaini or someone else who can play further forward. We've got Arsenal, Everton, City etc coming up, in which you have to say it's fair enough to play two of the holders, but Sunderland at home shouldn't be one of them. I'd probably drop Bastian to the bench and let Herrera continue from the above. Phil Jones to get another sub appearance. Rojo to start at LB if fit.

Three points a must heading into our tougher run in October. Heck maybe Spurs can do us a huge favor and beat City to help us go top of the table, though I am not holding out hope for that.

I hope we try Darmian at LB for this one, should be a home win as Sunderland are really struggling right now defensively.

It's been long since I have been excited and quite sure of a good win! Looking forward to a comfortable win. Martial express continues to chug on!!

I can see being comfortable win but LVG wont take any chances.

    -----------------------------DDG---------------------------
    Darmian---------Smalling--------Blind------------Young
    -------------------Carrick------Schneiderlin--------------
    Mata----------------------Rooney--------------------Memphis
    ---------------------------Martial--------------------------

LVG will not change the partnership with Smalling and Blind unless injury between them occurs, so i wont expect Blind filling the LB role. Also i dont think Darmian will not move into that position either, LVG needs someone pushing up with Depay and Young is the guy to do that. The rest picks for itself, Carrick missed Ipswich game so i'd expect him to start alongside Schneiderlin. Mata on the right, Rooney in the hole and Memphis on the left and Martial to start. Considering he has scored 4 goals in 4 games, the kid deserves a start.

United have the home advantage, the momentum & confidence, the talent of players and the manager to destroy Sunderland. Suffocate Sunderland with the possession play and they'll start to open up and hopefully the chances will be taken.

Sunderland are at their weakest and are relegation candidates this season, haven't won a game in premier league yet this season and just got knocked out the league cup heavily by Man City at their own ground. It will be a miracle for them to gain some motivation to actually give united a game. Harsh but true, their football is terrible and their spirit is diminishing by each game they lose. Everything is against them this match.

    My prediction:
    Manchester United 3 - 0 Sunderland

Too many people are underestimating Sunderland. Every team wants to beat Manchester United, they all find a little bit more energy and enthusiasm against us, just look how difficult Newcastle were to break down.

Everyone expects us to win, and that brings added pressure. We really could do with an early breakthrough, otherwise this could be a nervy affair. I think we will win, but I expected us to beat Newcastle and PSV this season, more so than any other opponent that we've faced.

Nah, Sunderland are absolutely woeful. Ipswich's reserve side put up more of a fight than they will.

Judging from his PC, seems Advocaat is planning to park a double decker infront of his goal. Could be a frustrating game.

They can't actually defend though; they've tried doing that in a few games this season and conceded anyway. They have so many mistakes in them.

 You're not wrong, but this is just funny. They've been so bad so far.

If we don't win this one comfortably I'll be pretty disappointed.

The only bad news really is that Younes Kaboul is suspended for this.

I'm generally more on the pessimistic side when it comes to predicting results but they're absolutely dreadful. They'll either park the bus and mess up or come out and attack, mess up and we'll get them on the counter. I genuinely can't see anything other than a United win.

Is he? Thought he served it against City in the week?

Taken a gamble on Rojo being fit again. Can't come back from an injury then go off on another one after only minutes of play time surely? Guy seems hard as.

Hoping for a win and Martial to score again.
