Tottenham fan at work reckons we'll "park the bus", or get smashed, as Mourinho is "the most negative manager in the world".

In fairness, he barely watches Tottenham games, let alone ours.

You get these sort of people, who think they can argue lines without witnessing any evidence.
A Liverpool fan (also at work!) was telling me how poor Pogba has been. Now granted, for world record money, you have huge expectations, but he barely watches anything of our games, so how could he know? I figure he just sees the results, and sees Pogba hasn't scored many and goes off that

United could be even on points with City in a week's time if United take care of business and the Fernandinho-less City continue to look as porous as they did today. Alternatively, dropping points tomorrow would leave a pretty damn big distance between United and 4th.

I think it's gonna be a really good game. United have been playing well and Spurs with Alderweireld are a different beast.

Anyhow, win tomorrow and we climb into the top 4 ... which should be a real incentive for the team.
Such a great opportunity for you guys - we're allergic to scoring league goals anyway, but to add to that you guys have Alderweireld back, and United have had less rest travelling back from Ukraine. Things couldn't be any more in Spurs' favour for tomorrow anyway, but now you are back in top 4 contention as well. Spurs couldn't have planned it any better

Well, let's not forget it's an away game for Spurs. And we haven't been scoring that many league goals ourselves ... every team in the current top 4 has scored at least 8 more than us.

We seem to either beat teams by at least 2 goals or struggle to a 1-1 draw.
I wonder which this will be?

Desperate for a win tomorrow. These poor league results are absolutely wearing me down, and winning games in the cups don't even half make up for it.

Would anyone be surprised though if Ander is the one that gets the early yellow and we end up playing with 10 men late?
Yes, I would be. Herrera plays the dirty game, but he generally plays it well. He picks up yellows but has had very few reds for us (just the one?)

Not seen a lot of Spurs this season but off the top of my head I don't remember Dier ever being too much of a hothead either? Most likely they'll scrap a bit but steer clear of anything red-worthy.

I feel strangely confident tomorrow, I could see us slapping them 3-0.

However, I also wouldn't be surprised to see them beat us 3-0. Not an easy one to predict.

I was very surprised to see the predictions on here. Personally I think Spurs will win tomorrow.

I've had a great weekend so far. Went to a Turkish restaurant last night with 12 cute women for bonenkai (end of year party).
Don't feckin' ruin it. We need a win, just to keep shite like Watford and WBA from overtaking us.

In fairness to him, it was probably said in the heat of the moment after he and his mates f*cked up a 2-0 lead in the dying embers of the game.

Expecting Dellend Alli to have a far more cnutish game tomorrow.
He never gets called out on it either, really grown to dislike Ali.

Supposed to be going to visit inlaws tomorrow which would result in me missing this. Been laying on the cough in prep for being too ill to go

He's also becoming one of the biggest divers (or 'contact initiators') in the league and doesn't get called out on that either.

English players are always the biggest culprits when it comes to diving. I think certain sectors of the media like to pretend it's something that came from abroad, but loads of English players dive and have dived in the past.

United are right back into the mix for top four if they win this. I think City will continue to struggle considering they've got Arsenal next weekend and then a trip to Anfield at the end of the month.

Your away record is identical to our home record.

    Spurs away: W2 D4 L1 F10 A6
    United home: W2 D4 L1 F10 A6

Think its got a draw written all over it. United have drawn our last four home league games while Spurs have drawn three and lost one.

Spurs are a high-pressing side, so their game plan will be similar's to City when they came to OT. Just hope Jose has a good plan to counter that. Otherwise it won't be pretty.

Not really confident. Can't see us winning this one unfortunately unless we pull out something special. Probably a draw or a loss.

Can't see anything but a draw. Actually I can't see us winning a league game until Sunderland visit and you know that will probably end a draw anyway!

My pessimism has reached a new low it seems.

No Herrera?! that simply won't do on the caf. hes our spiritual captain and possibly our most influencial player of all time. you can't leave him out, he's done great things for us and is going to beat up Dier!

    Come at me caf.

I think Jose will go with 3 mids, Carrick, Herrera and Pogba. I'm not sure if he'll start with Mata or Martial on the wing, Mickhi should start this one too and every match from now on.

My thinking exactly. I would want Martial for pace, but I think we need more creativity to outsmart Spurs midfield and Mata can give us that more than Martial can, but then we lose pace.
