we will lose this and next saunday...hopefully these will be ole last games. Cant be bothered to waste 180m of dreadful football under this nonsense of a manager. The club is rotten, we also choose the wrong manager and then sack them when it is too late.

If we go with 3 at the back Ole is basically asking to be sacked. We haven’t had a good performance playing it since parts of the Liverpool game and we’ve played our worst football with this formation.

We know from Jose's leaked dossier's with Chelsea that he's a meticulous guy when it comes to match preparation. He knows our entire squad inside out, with the exception of the new signings. He knows the strengths, weakness, habits and everything else under the sun. It's fair to say that he's got the clear advantage over Ole. Now, usually vs. top teams, Ole plays in a discernibly deeper block and tries to counter. That's assuming Spurs will come onto us. Knowing Jose, he'll low block as well. This could end up being a stalemate.

Jose will be so excited. He knows all the weaknesses, he knows how bad Ole is at coaching, he knows how scared we're going to be.

We have nothing to be scared off ..Spurs have been as poor as we have been they conceded bucket loads of goals . We should be confident of getting a win

Jose's the ultimate defensive manager who concentrates on nullifying the opposition rather than his own team's strengths. It could be suggested that this approach is based on fear.

WE weren't exactly confident going into the Liverpool game and surprised ourselves, so who knows how tonight will go.

Knowing Jose he'll do something horrible negative, drop Kane and have Son as a false 9. He's done similar at Old Trafford before. in the Moyes season

Before Jose came in yes. They're a different animal now.

    I like that.

Ole should simply pour offensive fuel on the fire and come what may. Give Jose something he isn't expecting. The worst thing Ole could possibly do right now is keep battering with the same log.

Surprised by the overtly negative predictions. I think we will give a good account of ourselves and may actually win this with some luck.

It is definitely not going to be a capitulation as some are suggesting here. We are playing at home and players have a point to prove.

This has been the case since day 1. So by now we should have had so many points!

I guess Spurs fans are quite optimistic of a good result tonight then ?

My concerns going into this game.

    1. Sissoko's physicality and vertical running.
There's no one we have in midfield that can keep up with him. Fred and Pereira have good energy, but neither the discipline, nor the strength to avoid getting physically dominated in the middle.

    2. Dele Alli's deep running and resurgence.
This is a big one. He's closer to Kane and it's going to be a pain the ass to contain him. Our midfielders and defenders are awful at tracking deep runners. We have problems with lesser players, let alone ones of this ilk.

    3. Kane and Lindelof mismatch.
I think Maguire will be able to keep Kane quiet in the air, however, should Kane start to peel off him and target Lindelof, we could be in some serious s***. Lindelof struggles aerially versus any pro Joe, let alone an aerially proficient guy like Kane.

    4. Ole's team plays best against openly offensive top teams.
Contrary to how Spurs might play in general, I think Jose will take his usual approach to top teams and low block/counter. Ole's team has a torrid time versus other teams who sit back, since we can't break down teams like this. This is quite simply Jose's forte.

The one positive is that Spurs can be exploited since they're conceding a lot at the moment. We have to hope that this defensive under-performance continues and that the right Rashford shows up tonight.

Someone at work said they heard Martial may be out however they arent sure if they were imagining things anyone read similar?

As an aside I dreamt I was at work and browsing through the internet home page and an article came up that Ole had been sacked

I think itll be a 0-0 draw or we will scrape a win, both of which will buy Ole a few months as they will claim we weren't expected to win this.

Jose will be determined to beat us and prove a point by beating the club who sacked him and his replacement. I know I would be if I was him.

I wonder if Ole will go ultra defensive and have a back 5 of Tuanzebe, Maguire, Lindelof, AWB and probably Shaw, if I was him and played that I'd get the centre backs to try and help cover midfield a bit

I usually feel optimistic when we play a "top" team, Ole usually gets it right in the big games. However, Mourinho knows our players inside out, he is tactically superior to Ole, and is also in the "new manager honey moon phase" with Tottenham. Not just that, Tottenham also has an objectively better squad than us.

I'm predicting a 1-4 win for Tottenham. It sucks how much we've fallen.

According to the MEN, Martial arrived at the Lowry along with the rest of the squad. Not sure what to make of that.

Can anyone confirm one way or the other?

Every manager we've had since Sir Akex has spent a lot of football and produced 'dreadful football'. Difference is, Ole has less experience than our previous managers.

The players will want to get one over on Jose and we always turn up against the bigger teams.

We may win this one 4-0.

We will not lose this game. Gone for 2-1 but Spurs might sneak a draw.

I see no way Ole can outsmart Jose.

The only way I can see United winning is with the running of Rashford and Martial being too much for Alderweireld.

I think we'll come out firing out the blocks, as we will raise our game for the occassion, but spurs will soak it all up and we'll run out of steam come the 25th min and then be torn to pieces on the counter.

    Lads, it's still Spurs.

Ole's beaten them every time, despite everyone wanking themselves silly over Spurs.

Our team have become game-raising cnuts. They'll put a very different performance in against Jose.

Since the Liverpool game, we have used three at the back against Partizan, Chelsea and Sheffield.

We won two out of those three games. Yes, performances weren't't great (the one against Chelsea away was decent), but we've been just as underwhelming in a 4231. You also need to remember that we played a slightly different variation in the Sheffield game and were forced to play Pereira deep.

Guess we'll see what happens tonight, but playing three at the back is not to blame. Our football in general is dreadful.

Bloody hell Martial out too. We might play with 3 defenders or try something. Don't think it suits us in this game. Mata and Lingard to start otherwise.

Gone with the same. Cant see Shaw starting as he is too fat. Cant see Andreas starting as he is too shit. So apart from that we dont have many other options right

He might go against his own tactical beliefs in this game just to prove a point to us. Maybe.

    Very Moyesian

Yeah definitely starting to get that feel of March & April 2014, remember Scholes being a pundit for the City game and defending him, unfortunately for him a few weeks later Moyes got the sack.
