It was really surprising stuff from Conte. What's the issue if there is one? Tiredness?

No issue with sitting back but no energy on the press or when countering is strange.
You guys just didn't give us any time in the ball and played very well. That and us being under par all over the pitch really.

Vintage United performance  Everyone deserved to wear the badge. Legend says the Spurs midfield is still in Casemiro's pocket. Martinez destroyed Kane, Bruno finally found the net, Fred was everywhere and unstoppable. Others played well too. Sancho had a very nervous start but he was ok later. Dalot was great, esp. going forward, Shaw too. Spurs are lucky that we did not score more. It could have been 5:0 easily.

Great performance from United. Bruno played well and gave up his primadonna antics. Fred was superb as was Dalot. It was still rough around the edges at times with a few misplaced passes but we fought for every ball. Tottenham helped our cause by being woeful but we contributed to their poor performance by not giving them an inch. More of the same against Chelsea, please!

Feed has played many more games with McTominay at United than with Casemiro in Brazil team, so this argument has short legs. Also, based on what we have seen, the only thing Ten Hag considers is who is the currently best-form available player. And thank God for that! Otherwise, we'd be seeing Maguire playing with Shaw and Varane on the bench
Not really as the argument is who would Casemiro pair better with. Besides the obvious fact that their main skillset is more complimentary they are also Brazilian team mates with a good playing relationship. The question was not about Fred and McTominay together which should be an absolute last resort, it was why choose Fred over McTominay as partner for Casemiro.

Fair dos. I was expecting more fight and intensity though. We played well but we will allowed to as well.

The turnaround from Brighton at home day one to that tonight is astronomical. All I ask for is a little bit of consistency now moving forward. Outstanding team performance tonight making a decent Spurs side look ordinary

By the end, spurs looked defeated. Body language grim from them. Great to see.

Weird that our 5 homes games so far in the League have been
3 victories against Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham
1 draw against Newcastle who are sixth
1 defeat against Brighton who are eighth who were in better form at the time under Potter.

No games so far against "easier" teams at home.

Easy to understand... When Ronaldo is playing all the other players feel pressured to play For Him, not the team. He demands the focus and limelight and our general play suffers as a result.
Yes thanks. Somehow I just couldn't get it into a coherent sentence in my head.

And the post is probably correct. There was a great post on here from someone who noted that as he scores more goals the team scores less goals or thereabouts.

Best I've felt about a performance since the City match under Mourinho (or was it LVG?), or Chelsea under LVG where Herrera shut out Hazard. No smash and grab or luck, just dominated a good side all match and made two lethal strikers look toothless.
There was a 4-2 win over City under LvG where we bossed them (except for the first 20 minutes)?

We weren’t consistent under LvG and could not break down lesser sides.

I think Hag takes no prisoners.

Agree with this. United were good but Tottenham were poor and surrendered the ball even when not under pressure. Tottenham didn’t look comfortable in the press, which would be concerning if I were a Tottenham fan, you’d hope Conte was coaching this sort of thing.

    So hyped after that game.

Fantastic result, fantastic performance and I'm so hyped after that game. Without doubt the best performance that we've had under Ten hag. We were pressing, looked defensively solid and aggressive. If it wasn't for Lloris we could be talking about an iconic 5-0 victory.

NB: Ronaldo my friend. You've been a generational defining player but your time has come. Accept it with grace.

That's the thing, he isn't ready to yet and we're not going to allow him to be bigger than the club. In his mind, he has the chance to finish at the top of every record every imagined since football began, and we're ruining that for him in the little time he has left at this level. It's best for everyone he moves to another club outside of the PL where he can fulfil that dream.

Yeah I can see Ronaldo tearing it up in Portugal or Italy. He's just too slow and immobile for the Prem.

I think he can still do it in the PL, only a few months ago he was still banging goals in. The problem is that Ronaldo doesn't want to sacrifice his goals for running, why run himself into the ground for an assist when he can score two goals by hanging around the box instead? He isn't interested in running for the team, he wants to team to feed his record chasing instead.

He can stay in the PL but the amount of teams in the CL who want a fox in the box are non existent these days.
