Leicester draw would make it not too bad if we can beat these.

Cavani / AWB / Pogba In

We're going to be able to bring a rested Telles, cavani, Greenwood, van de beek and possibly Awb. At a hectic time for clubs, the guys who come in need to do the business

Wouldnt surprise me if Wolves get motivated and use us as getting back to form.

    Expecting a strong comeback.

    De Gea
    AWB, Lindelöf, Maguire, Shaw/Telles
    Fred - Pogba
    Bruno
    Greenwood - Rashford
    Cavani

McTominay and Martial to see game time. Tuanzebe as well?

    Why ?

    Cavani on the right ?

Why Martial and not Rashford ?

    a 523 ? What's this midfield ?
Cavani is in good form and offers something different from the others. Martial isn't as egotistical as Rashford. I want Greenwood as a striker so Cavani goes on the right.

Formation is whatever, As for the midfield you could easily make this into a 3 if you don't play McTominay as a CB.

It's ridiculous that Wolves need to play us less than 2 days after their game against Spurs. Lucky for us, but not fair on Wolves.

Add to that - Wolves don't really have a big squad with Castro and Jimenez out for a long time.
Against Burnley Dendoncker was also out and they used Otasowie, a 19 year old american who played his second game in the P.L

In addition they had an 18 year old striker called Corbeanu on the bench, and that guy Hoever whom they signed from Liverpool - another 18 year old.

So realistically - if Wolves start their strongest side against Spurs - at best they can rotate 3-4 players against United, they don't really have more to rotate. If they should get a suspension tonight, or a player or two injured - they will be in serious problems against us.

So we should rotate 6-7 players against Wolves (Tuanzebe, Cavani, Greenwood, Pogba, Matic) - because there is no way Wolves can have the legs for one more game

Hopefully a high-intensity game against Spurs and an extra day for us will help.

Or Wolves will roll over and save themselves for us.
They would have better chance to try to get a point today against Spurs rather than on Tuesday against us.

Wolves have a really difficult turnaround between their game against Spurs tonight and then us on Tuesday evening.

Ole said yesterday that we will use our extra rest time well and I hope that is the case.

I think we should rotate a bit as well to keep the side fresh ahead of Villa on Friday.

Leicester can be looked at as a good point if we win the next two.

I am a bit worried though because, in different ways, Wolves and Villa have the tools to exploit our weaknesses – the former playing in a low block and the latter being a very good attacking outfit.

Bruno has come out and talked about the changing mentality, so let’s see whether that’s true or all talk.

I’m liking the positivity. Would be huge if we could win the next two.
I just can't see us not winning against Wolves without Jimenez and they will have less hours rest. And I can't see us not beating Aston Villa, defensively they can be exposed easily.

For once I’m feeling pretty confident about this one. I think our home form will pick up abit.

Wolves are a funny side. Nuno is trying to make them more expansive but the loss of Jiminez to injury leaves them in a position where they may revert to type in the coming games and worry more about getting points on the board. They are generally quite an obdurate outfit and we tend to still struggle a bit against sides who sit deep.

I totally agree that Villa can be gotten at, but I would personally worry about the damage they could do to us going the other way. We have no hunger as a side to keep clean sheets and it’s something that needs addressing.

In years gone by, a double header at home against these sides would have been bankers, but they do feel like tough assignments this time. Let’s see whether Bruno and Ole’s post-Leicester comments about the squad being annoyed are true.

    Martial had a stinker yesterday
He really didn’t. Had a quiet game but held the ball up well, draw fouls in the final third and played some nice passes. He was a hairs width away from scoring a lovely one on one which was then offside. Strikers are only every going to be as good as the supply they receive which people would know if they ever played football. Vardy for example did absolutely nothing yesterday until he got once chance. Such a weird agenda against him amongst some Utd fans.

We have no reason not to beat Wolves. We have better players, they lost their main striker and we have more rest hours. I am very confident.

I'm not scared with Aston Villa threat in attack apart from Grealish. Stop him, we are good to go. Watkins hasn't been clinical enough to score enough goals this season, unlike Vardy. They beat Liverpool 7-2 but let's just say that was just strange day.

You disagree but yet in your 1st line you say he had a quiet game. Cavani did more in those 15 mins than Martial did all game .
    He has to start Tuesday

After the Leicester draw, this and Villa game have become a must win.
They were anyway in my mind, but yeah you feel they are vital.

It would have been a fantastic statement if we had won yesterday, we really should have done.

Anything less than 6 points out the next 2 would be a massive kick in the plums

It’s fine to draw the odd game provided you’re racking up wins at a good rate. We have twenty points from the last eight games, with points dropped against City and Leicester.

It’s not a bad blueprint for the next five league games – Wolves, Villa, Fulham and Sheffield United, matches that sandwich the Liverpool game.

13 points from the next five games would be a brilliant haul. I’m hopeful that the Leicester result will sting the squad into further action, and it’s ace that the games are coming thick and fast.

It’s nice to be in the mix but we are going to need to start keeping some clean sheets to have a chance.

We have to beat these and Villa. If not, the dropped points vs Leicester become really bad.

Wolves will have one day less rest as they are playing tonight, we finally have an advantage in this regard.

We need to shuffle our team for this game as we're playing Villa after this and they have an advantage from playing a day earlier.

Anyone think a 4312 would suit our team better.

    De Gea

    Tuanzabe Bailly Maguire Telles

    Donny Fred Pogba

    Bruno

    Cavani Rashford
Cavani and Rashford can drift wide and open space for Bruno. Fred covering while Donny and pogba push into dictate the play. Tuanzabe is only there while AWB is injured BTW

Quite a few on here seem keen on dropping Martial and I can sympathise but Martial needs to play himself into form. He isn’t the kind of player that magically gets his touch whilst sitting out a few games. Apart from his suspect finishing at times and occasional tendency to drift out of games, he is supremely talented on the ball.
Cavani isn’t a solution to our poor finishing, he is a (very capable) stopgap measure to get us through the season.

Where is AWB? Need him back for this one, the options for the back 4 are getting stretched with Axel and Lindelof both carrying injuries as well.
