We will win this one. Will be 1-0 or 2-1 and entirely unconvincing.

3 days to just fully recover, mentally and phsycally - the players just need to relax and catch a break. Then some pre match prep sessions and hopefully we win.

Everyone is just so extremely exchusted by this gruelling season.

How about starting to look like they are arsed and actually playing for something? Sick of seeing heads down loser mentality from this lot.

Looks like we need a miracle to create a chance and score a goal.

Just realized we've got 10 points from the last four games that Sancho started. I'm not saying he's the main reason for that (although he has been much better) but I'm really not sure exactly why Erik went away from Rashford as the no. 9 surrounded by two genuine wingers?

Sancho is a shite player. Awful signing. Can you believe the likes of Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez, who are the benchmark btw even play the same sport? It’s actually laughable.

Get rid, another horrific waste of money.

At some point it doesn't matter how much you care or are motivated - if your body is done, your body is done. And we see it from the majority of our players atm. Everything that comes from now is from the mentality because the physical side is depleted.

Not having that as an excuse I’m sorry. Bodies are capable of a lot more physically gruelling activities than playing a lot of football.

    Its a funny old game
I don't like Wolves. Like West Ham they have an uncanny knack of raising their game a few levels against us before going back to the usual dross the following week and being well beaten by lesser teams

.... if Garnacho is OK, he needs at least 20mins... we don't want him injured again. Great if he is available again.

Unfortunately we do not have many options... but I hope that recent performances have prompted some stern words amongst players.

Wolves will be dangerous, are safe now, and their players and fans will enjoy this. But we can win this.

We lack natural leaders and need some real f***ing anger out there.

This is another game that could go anyway. Wolves midfield will overun us in second half same as most teams do now. Ten Hag will need to freshen this area up with possibly putting 3 in midfield with Bruno forward.

I said this yesterday but amid the hysteria of our dogshit performances on the road, our home record is good. Wolves’ is diabolical.

If we win this game we are 4 points clear of 5th with 3 games left. 2 of those 3 games are at home and if you had to handpick an away game I think it’d be Bournemouth - a team near the bottom but not desperate for points.

If we win our next two, everything will be looking very rosy again. We still haven’t bottled it yet, even though we have made it astonishingly more difficult. We really could do with Pool dropping points. Hopefully Leicester next week as they really need some points themselves.

I feel so despondant after last nights 2nd half performance. We looked terrible. Played off the park by a crap west ham team.
    confidence is shot.
We have to win our 3 remaining home games.. no ifs or buts. Drop points in any and we hand it to Brighton or Liverpool.

The players need to start showing some balls.

I think we will do just enough to scrape a win only to crash and burn in the next away game against Bournemouth. That’s the United way.

It absolutely is a relevant excuse - we have played 17 games more than Brighton and Newcastle, 11 more than Liverpool, more than city even. Yes top teams play more games... But we do not have a top squad, are not a top team, but are thrown into it because we played really well earlier and now are barely surviving through it. How do you think Newcastle or Arsenal or Brighton would fair with needing to play this amount of fixtures? Get rid of all their mid week breaks since September (which is what we've had to deal with) and you would see massively different performance levels from them, rather than having full weeks to train and recover and prep for matches.

We are very clearly physically drained, it shows every 2nd half, there is not a more clear factor than fatigue if performance levels drop after half time consistently. We don't have the squad or starting 11 to handle it. We are competing against other quality sides in the prem who have played 15-20 games fewer this season. And it shows in this part of the season.

Think finally having a full week between games will be what some of these players need. They've been knackered for ages now, playing with 1 CB and lacking some cutting edge in attack. Two of these these things should benefit from a week between games, recover some fitness and work on the finishing.

    I’d go with:

    DDG

    AWB
    Maguire
    Lindelof
    Shaw

    Casemiro
    Fred

    Antony
    Bruno
    Rashford

    Martial

Honestly, no result would shock me here.

I've no idea what's happened to us, but we are a shadow of the side that seemed to be coming together mid-season. Even the cup final, it was the mentality that won us that game as much as anything else. Since then, very fragile.

In hindsight, I wonder if we had got knocked out of Europe in the group stage, would we already be qualified for the Champion League?

Also, I wonder just how many games we have lost players to injuries or suspensions this season. At points this season we have had basically our defence or midfield unavailable. We're not yet set up to compete on 4 fronts clearly, short of having a rare injury free season.

Hopefully the week off and fact it's a home game give us the boost needed. Still expect us to scrape the necessary wins.

i mean the obvious statement is must win game. Even if technically we could win out after and still be thru in 4th just would have no shot of that in my mind. Honestly im expecting chelsea to get their shit together enough to steal a draw from us, so think the other 3 games have to be the wins. Right now these players need to get their shit together. Im not blaming EtH when both games early on we couldnt finish to save our lives. Both games couldve been well out in front in the first half early but instead our players are constantly missing the target. Rashford and Bruno need to show up if they fancy themselves superstar players. Case needs to either figure his shit out or go back to a lesser demanding league.

I said it at the time and I say it now. We are fekkking top four by chasing too many trophies. We should have B teamed Europa and Carebou and it may very well cost us top 4. Of course all the top reds on here were talking billy big bollox at the time about chasing everything but not looking so smart now is it?

We'll get back on track with a win here. West Ham away was always gonna be tough tbh. We lost thanks to de Gea, but loss or draw isn't much of a difference. Was always looking at the last 4 to get our 3 wins from. Still annoying that we actually let it get to this, but we should still be fine.
It's a massive difference. A draw last night meant we could w2 d2 of the remaining 4. Now we have to win 3. Massive difference, the way we're playing.

Let’s keep a level head. We’re playing a team who keep losing away from home. Our home form has been pretty good. Win this and we’re 4 points clear with 3 games to play, in a great position. We have a week to prepare - just win!
Looking at their away results this season, 2 wins, 5 draws and 10 defeats plus they conceded on average 2 goals per game. Two unlucky away losses hopefully a bit of luck here and United get the three points.

Being at home and having a whole week to rest for the first time in months will hopefully see us through this one.

Yeah most teams tend to win or lose, draws are less frequent. Winning 2 and drawing 3 is probably less likely than winning 3 and losing 2 (was my logic).

I mean as long as we beat 3 bottom half sides at home (with still wiggle room to feck 1 more game), then it clearly proved to be smart in the end? It still needs a big bottle job to feck it up from here.

No. Of our 4 world class players, Casemiro and Rashford are gassed while Varane and Martinez are long term injured. That's why we keep losing. All this talk of bottling and tiredness being in the head is just dumb motivation speak bollocks from the Roy Keane school of thickheadery.

We may yet do it, but we may well not as well. The outcome does not alter the analysis.

Exactly, and we have seen it with other teams in the past, qualifying for europe, their league form suffered the season after as they didnt have a top squad. Hell West ham got europe this season, and have found themselves 15th in the league before last night. Its tough if you dont have the squad to manage the extra games.

Be interesting to see how arsenal and newcastle manage it next season, what players they sign to help manage the extra games/travel.
