Must win game this. Win and it takes the pressure off slightly for the remaining games. Draw or lose and I think its game over in terms of top 4. Liverpools remaining games are easier than ours.

I think we'll do it though. 2-0 to us with a few squeaky bum moments thrown in.

We need to win at least 3. A win tomoz would put pressure on Liverpool. If Liverpool don’t win then we only need 2 wins. Depends if our players can handle the nerves. Need to try and win our home games, I’m more worried about the away game to Bournemouth next week. Our away form is awful.

Rashford's been in bad form lately but you'd still back him to come up with a goal so him being out of this game is massive loss for us. Will be even more difficult to get goal(s).

    De Gea
    AWB Varane Shaw Dalot
    Casemiro Eriksen
    Antony Bruno Sancho
    Martial

Ten Hag's comments make me think Varane will start tomorrow, though it's possible he doesn't start this game. Would keep Shaw at LCB and switch him to LB in 2nd half if needed. Everything else seems predictable. Garnacho to come on at some point (and probably for Sancho), same for Weghorst, Fred and Sabitzer. Would be nice to see Pellistri getting some minutes but that seems unlikely.

I geniunely don't remember last time we got a comfortable win vs Wolves. Something like our games vs Southampton, other than that 9-0 from 2 seasons ago.

No Rashy? Oh ok, we aint scoring more than 1 than!

Lets hope Varane's return can help with a clean sheet.

Last comfortable win against Wolves at home was 2011. Don't expect this to be comfortable either, 1-0 or 2-1 if United win I'd reckon.

Yep. I don’t want to see big brain moves here. Front six is obvious in terms of personnel. I’d play Shaw at LB though, as Sancho will heavily benefit from overlapping runs.

Yes definitely 3. The Chelsea game worries me as that can easily be a draw or we react like deers in headlights against them. You're right about Bournemouth though, thats just as big as Wolves.
Actually, the more I think about it the more it feels like 4 FA Cup finals coming up. How the hell did we end up in this state given where we were a few months back??:houllier:

if nothing else we need to win just to put some damn pressure back on pool at least. Lose and they will be absolutely pumped to overtake in their game against leicester. Make them know a win just keeps pace at least or something damn. Truly believe if we lose this next one top 4 will not happen.

No idea mate. It’s mad how we’ve let the scousers claw their way back in when they was miles behind us. This should have been wrapped up already and then we could enjoy the rest of the season and look forward to the Fa cup final. Now we’ve got 4 nervous games or 5 if you include the final. We could end the season by having a great one, or a failing one. The 2 scenarios are still available

I would keep Lindholf in there no matter, he deserves it. Our issue is attacking as we don't leak many. No Rashford, so we will have to see. Other forwards have to show some guts and seek to score.. rather than look pretty, nice footwork, interesting skills here and there.

We need someone who just wants to smash the ball into the net.. headers, backside, right foot, left foot.. don't care. Just get it done.

Basically the team picks itself atm.

Stick Weghorst up front, try and get Bruno as close to the box as possible and hope he can score. Bring Garnacho on for 20-30 minutes if he is fit enough for it. Varane and Lindelof together do nothing for me, it's way too sideways.

Simplest answer is that we've wasted some very good chances and have been punished. Bruno against Spurs, several chances against Brighton and West Ham. Were fortunate for a time when Rashford was scoring regularly but, rest of the squad has been abysmal and really really need a few of them to stand up and be counted on these last 4 games.

We should be winning this but if Wout is in the starting 11 I'll lose all faith in getting a result.

No patterns of play and dependence on individual brilliance?

The most annoying thing is that this week was seen as key for a bit of respite and some needed work on the training ground. Rashford would have been key to that. Hopefully we can still get the 3 points

Varane is back, and while Shaw has been brilliant as a CD, our attack has been suffering from his absence at the left back. We will probably go with something like

    ................ De Gea

    Dalot - Varane - Lindelöf - Shaw

    ......... Casemiro - Eriksen

    Antony - Fernandes - Sancho

    ............... Martial

Really need the non-shit version of Martial to show up for this one now.

In fact the non-shit version of all of our players would be pretty handy.

Sancho has to start on the left as Rashford is out by sounds of it. Varane back is massive, we just need to win and no matter how .

Personally I do not think Sancho, Antony, Martial and Weghorst are ready to step up. This is their level. Can they muster more than 1 goal in our remaining games? I do not think so.

Wonder if EtH will deploy Sabitzer more forward and how will Bruno impact these matches without a goal scoring outlet like Marcus.

Sancho on the left with Garnacho to play some key minutes. Bruno has to try to score directly instead of just trying to create a chance for someone who doesn't have a good enough goal scoring track record this season in Sancho, Antony, Martial, etc.

If Martial has 3 decent to good chances, he'll bury one and the service or passing from the left should be better knowing Sancho and Garnacho are more capable passers than Rashford.

    Given the recent news:

    De Gea

    Shaw
    Lindelof
    Varane
    AWB

    Casemiro
    Eriksen

    Sancho
    Bruno
    Antony

    Martial

The theme of the day needs to be Attack Attack Attack

Bring Garnacho on at 60min if we haven't put it out of reach by then.

This is the biggest 3 points we've played for in a while, I sure hope they're up for it.

yeah this is what i hope to see. Honestly i feel like managers should do the reverse with a player like garnacho who isnt fit. Start with him and just take him off when you feel like he is done. Instead you risk bringing him on too late perhaps or worrying about too early. If he only lasts til halftime hopefully we have started strong and then bring sancho on in second half or whatever.

We didn’t score a single goal over the last 2 games with Rashford playing the full 180 mins, if we continue creating good chances then I have no doubt we will score without him.

ffs....big match of the season and Rashford gets injured during the week after playing 90 against West Ham? odd

talk about putting massive pressure on martial, sancho and antony to deliver the goods.....garnacho has been out for a couple months so we can't expect from him either

You know what, it sounds like sacrilege but I wouldn't be overly devastated if Rashford is injured for this one. He's reverted back to 2021/22 mode in the last few games, a bit sulky and lacking in energy. And because of his early season scoring exploits, Erik is never going to take him off no matter how shit he is playing.

Might be a kick up the arse for him if the team play well and score some goals in his absence. Make him think "shit, I mightn't automatically come back in!" Will require Martial, Antony, Sancho or whoever else is starting to get their act together and score some f**king goals!!

Need to start fast and an early goal would rock Wolves who aren't exactly brilliant at scoring themselves. Would help if we could find a ruthless streak. At least the game is on 5Live - Sky and BT must be kicking themselves for not picking it

I would drop Antony and I dont see him starting Varane straight away so if Varane isnt ready to start, id use:

    DDG
    AWB Lindelof Shaw Dalot
    Casemiro Eriksen
    Garnacho Bruno Sancho
    Martial
