It'll be Greenwood who's got ahead of Sancho.

Rashford will be up top stretching the play and turning Newcastle's centrebacks around.

I know that he gets a lot of online criticism for getting occassionally offside. But his runs will be a nightmare to defend against for any defender - even when the timing is wrong.
Yeah ... you haven't got a clue chap.

I think that he already answered that question in an indirect way. Rangnick likes to bring in players on their 1st-2nd contracts. These are players who are hungry for success, they would listen and has the legwork needed to succeed in his system. He is not interested in players lining for their final pay cheques or known quality. That's pretty much in line to the true United way, you know, the one SAF brought and actually won trophies.
Sounds like a genius 6 month appointment then .. can't work with our squad, needs a new 15 signings ...

Where is the pride and professionalism in these players. Ronaldo was poor and complained all night as did Bruno. Do something instead of whining. Yes the Ref gave his usual bizarre decisions but just bloody play the game and stop posturing.

Well Ole had United DNA and all the smiles and giggles surrounding it. It took him 3 years and 415m worth of talent to...well.......end up into this mess. Surely Rangnick deserves a bit more time and a bit of investment right?

Erm, you blaming the current manager for trying to improve the team mid-season with hard work?
You have to re-read what I posted. I am saying that Rangnick is fully resposible for our performances in the last 2 games, it is a fact. I am sure he thinks so as well. Whether we are successful with the tactics that he has employed so far or not, is yet to be seen. Norwich look more energetic that we did, and Newcastle did not look like an inferor team against us at all. Hopefully, we will improve significantly under Ralf, otherwise we are bound to miss on CL next season.

I believe that the club are under no illusion. The damage created by letting an amateur run the club for 3 years and with 415m spent can't be undone in just 6 months. Which is why Rangnick was given 6 months as manager and another 2 years as consultant. Rebuild might be starting now but it will take time.

If we need a rebuild it is ralfs failing. These team got second place and signed one of the world's best wingers, one of the world's best defenders and Ronaldo, which we can debate being a poor move. We were told ole had to compete with the team he had put together. Now excuses are being made that we shouldn't be able to beat the worst teams in the league. It is insane

Mou's team reached 2nd place and was able to win trophies yet we all knew that we needed a rebuild. Same thing here. This team built by bottlers and filled with bottlers is in dire need of a rebuild. Names do not win you trophies, attitude, heart and talent does.

mous team that came second would have been expected to beat newcastle though, that is where your argument is falling apart. if you think we need a rebuild fair enough, if you think ralf doesn't have the players to beat newcastle you have lost your mind. yesterday was down to ralfs coaching and tactics not being good enough, he needs to dramatically improve. thats my view, ill stop annoying you now with my nonsense.

I agree with your point in general. But if we want change, in particular, to play the kind of modern attacking football we want, we have to do things differently. It will be painful. Some players will adapt and some won't. But as interim manager, Ralf's job is to lay solid foundations for a permanent manager to take over. I am sure he wants us to qualify and winning is of the utmost importance after all. But I think we want to see real tangible progress. Not wait 30 years for our next title like the scousers.

That team was properly coached. This team hasn't been properly coached for years and had lived in a laissez-faire mentality for too many months. I see this team as similar to the one SAF inherited. The names are there but not the attitude to win

Yeah ... you haven't got a clue chap.
    Hindsight's great, eh?

Rangnick played Rashford and Ronaldo up top against Palace and Norwich, therefore it was fair for Dante, along with a lot of others, to think the same would happen again.

My worry, and this was pointed out by some before the game, was a lack of running in behind from Ronaldo and Greenwood. Rashford has been poor but he at least he does provide that running power in behind.

Sure mate, we are on the same page more or less it seems. I trust Rangnick to trim the squad and identify players that will actually improve our overall quality. However, tactics-wise, I doubt that we have a squad that can implement 4-2-2-2 efficiently, nor do I believe that our permanent manager will use this formation. Long story short, I do believe that Rangnick will do well in overseeing our football affairs, however, I dont see him as a manager who is capable of challenging the likes of Klopp or Pep in a season-long EPL race.

I agree that 4222 is difficult with the current set of players we have. Even if it just our two CMs. I am in two minds. If it is a bridge too far, then perhaps we should change formation to get more points. But if the idea is that we play football which exposes the players' limitations rather than try to hide them, then we know the parts of the squad to strengthen for sure. I think right now it is glaringly obvious that money will need to be spent to replace Fred and McTominay as starting players.

Yes, he does. I suspect Rangnick was expecting us to have full control of possession and Newcastle to play with men behind the ball. To be honest, if the players held their end of the plan it would've been the right tactic, because there would've been no space for that running power.

Rangnick got the tactics totally wrong yesterday. My prediction was based on the assumption that he wouldn't.
I'd say he got it wrong with playing Rashford ahead of Sancho and Greenwood ahead of Cavani.
