    Who let the dogs out?

    WOUT WOUT WOUT WOUT!!!

Thank God we have the 2-goal lead because the players really deserved the hairdryer treatment. In all honesty, a little bit more professionalism in our team performance should see us destroy that lot before we even bother sending regulars for the second leg.

Antony has been playing amazingly. Most talented player on the team. All the hatred and criticism of him here is laughable.
I'm going to reserve my judgement on him as a player until next season so I don't watch him that closely, but he's been pretty shite the last few games, and he's been average today.

    That wide Bruno shot though.

He was so good for Sporting hitting the target from 20-30 yards scoring often. He had the time and space but his scoring level has dropped so much.

Winning 2-0 but fecking hell we made it look very difficult.

Great start by playing with intensity and dictating the tempo of the game. Rashford’s goal was fantastic but after that our performance levels took a massive nose dive. Sloppy play after sloppy and Forest were the dominant side. Unlucky not to be level. I hope that Weghorst goal just before HT has killed their momentum. Despite the 2-0 lead, ETH needs to give some of these players a wake up call as they have been going through the motion in that half.

Need that 3rd goal to well and truly kill the tie off. Two is definitely not enough based on tonight’s viewing.

Bruno off as early as possible so we can see out a comfortable win. About time ETH figured this out.

Casemiro and Eriksen are class but both are unfortunately a bit on the slow side. Both turns like much bigger players. Think Fred would balance that better alongside Casemiro.

He should still give it them, it would be a totally different score against a clinical side.

Decent half, we had a dodgy 15 mins and Forrest looked the better side for a bit but to go in 2 up at half time is a relief.

Casemiro is looking heavy legged, although did really well to get us up the pitch for the goal and same with Eriksen, Martinez has done well.

    Antony has been very good.
Yeah a real baller I must say. Hope he can score a goal would help his confidence a lot.

    Rashford's solo is simply amazing.

Overall a bit sloppy ETH can't be happy but the score is great.

    And so happy for Weghorst

I read a few posters were worried about this game. The gulf in class is massive. They have a bit of a threat going forward but defensively they are awful.
It shows more our progress that we are cruising the game while playing about average for this side. Forrest were in a bit of form, so good to be wary.

Just want to mention how bad I think Lindelof has been today with his positioning. I don't like slagging off players usually but I just think he invites too much danger with the way he plays the position.

I don’t see it. He should be doing a hell of a lot more. He should be driving at players but he’s almost still playing within himself.
Composed on the ball and making the right decisions for the most part in this game. He could be doing more but he has contributed massively to all of our good play.

    So happy for Wout

Hopefully some posters will shut up a bit about him now and give him a bit of time to settle and learn his teammates and vice verse

It's quite clear what ETH wants from him and I think he is getting that

Rode our luck a little but a very entertaining match and 2-0 at half time is great. Almost certainly into our first domestic final for 6 years.

Good to be ahead, but a rather poor half. Giving the ball away too much and it feels like everyone is playing at 70%. Understandable considering the schedule, I suppose. Hoping to see some changes at half time.

Apart from a few sloppy moments we are so far in control. Forest give away far to much space in the first 25 minutes.
Class goal from Rashford again. Great to see wout Workhorse score and a great finish it was.
    Anthony much more direct too.
Stay focussed and organised and more chances will come.

Funny game, if Antony had converted one of his chances we'd be saying how brilliant he's been. He does seem to offer a threat down the right which we've missed for years.

Bruno has been our worst player on the pitch but is the one complaining the most...

Time to make full scale subs. This was a chance to rotate the squad. If McFred and LindelGuire can't beat Forrest then they should be sold immediately. Squad is going to get burnt out. Give Garancho and Pellestri a good run along with McFred

It's easy to over rate a performance when the bar isn't very high but I think he's been good so far, certainly better than average. Would give him a 7/10 performance so far from him for me.

So far so good with the highlight Weghorst getting his first goal. Hopefully a clean sheet 2nd half.

No need for this. Go all out for a 3rd goal and then the second leg becomes a formality.

I hate the way Bruno plays the game. He has no respect for controlling the game one bit. Zero care for the ball. Makes our game so kamikaze. Fecking hate it. After taking the lead, pick your moments carefully rather than playing idiotic pass after pass.

Bruno does frustrate the hell out of me, for a good player he can't half pass like an amateur at times.

Forest will prob score sec half, they've had enough chances, so just depends whether our forward play can improve cos we can bag another couple...if we push for them!

They should get a bollocking anyway. The tie should have been put to bed by now.

2-0 up but no place for complacency.
ETH should be giving them a rocket after how we started to fall apart for that 20 minute spell and got very sloppy.
Lets get out there and kill them off, so we can make some subs and rest a couple of players.

2-0 but the way Bruno and others are playing it feels like it could be 2-2 within a few minutes. No control at all.

Low energy 0-2. United look fatigued—passing isn’t crisp (except when it is—the Anthony chance comes to mind). Seems like a game for a few of the bench guys.
